Power Roll: (290 points)
Roll D125=99
200 Share Power, 300 Strength of Many (Already Gained), 600 Summoning 3/day (Too Expensive)
A shame for Summoning thrice a day, I would have loved to gain that one. (And no Debt cannot be used with Power roll).
So either Share Power or Reject it.
Details:
-Share Power: If you have a power that can only affect yourself (an enhancement to your body or mind, a defensive aura, a movement effect, etc) you can share it with one of our creatures by touching it when the power takes effect. This does not apply to always active powers but does apply to power that triggers on their own as long as you are touching when it triggers.
And conversely if one of your creatures can use such a power they can share it with you in the same way. Note: This one may require some explanations and examples.
This power is meant to apply to what in-game term would be called Self-only Buff.
Alex can only share power he possessed outside those from the Menagerie, or only indirectly. At present, he doesn't possess any, neither Wyverian transformation (because it's a direct effect of the CM) nor does Solar's Plasma Body (Because it came from Solar) works with it.
If he learns some Dragon Shouts from an Elder Scroll's Dragon, like Become Ethereal for example.
In that direction (sharing with creatures) it's mainly meant for settings in which the hero possesses powers of its own before gaining the CM. Like A Ninja from Naruto could share its Chakra reinforcement.
For Alex, it's more interesting in the other direction, namely his partners sharing self-only buff with him. Scorgem could share its Empty mind power. Merle could share her Regen power.
And so on.
[] 200 Share Power

Erratum: @Travisplo My bad, the Denshark is not a girl, it needs to be a guy because I want to call him Bruce. @PrinceOfDoom I'll keep it in mind.
This is a big boost- anytime we get a creature with a self buff they can share it with us, and as we unlock self buffs we can share them with our summons
A little surprised by the vote, I really expect you to want to keep your point. Because while the power isn't too bad, at the moment it is mostly useless for Alex. I hope it will come in handy in the future and I guess it's one less power on the list.

I had both time and inspiration today so you got a chapter much faster than usual. Enjoy.

As Miss Militia and myself sat at a table after grabbing trays filled with food I felt the Menagerie, triggering for the second time in just a few minutes.
Seeing that we were both focused on our breakfast I used that opportunity to discuss that new power with my Minds.
So Share Power? Though?/In the long run potentially very useful but in the short term it's very situational./for our part we don't have anything that we can share, the closest we got is Wyvern Transformation and that's doesn't work, apparently because it comes from the Menagerie itself, not ourselves./It's the same thing for Solar's grant power./On the other side of the fence I've briefly looked at what our partners can share with us and the picking is pretty slim./We'll keep you updated if we find anything really interesting and of course, we need to keep that factor in mind when analyzing our future partners.
I let my Minds continue to search for good ways to use that new option and I look at the heroine in front of me.
She caught my gaze and spoke up. "Something on your mind? You said that you want to talk?"
"Yes, but I'm sure how to broach the subject."
She remained silent waiting patiently.
"During the meeting, I noticed something. Our teammates show obvious signs of fatigue. I know it's not my responsibility but I'm a little worried. Will they be alright? The situation is getting to me too, but my powers are helping a lot. And I don't know what a normal situation looks like so I can't compare."
The Heroine took a breath before responding. "If we can resolve this situation soon, yes they'll be alright. But currently, things are difficult, you have to understand that normally each Protectorate hero at most does one patrol per day. With plenty of time to recuperate in between, and other activities, such as paperwork, training, meeting and of course their personal life."
I nodded thoughtfully, intellectually I knew it and my initial formation did contain a standard work schedule. But I didn't really get the chance to experience it.
"However currently with two-four hours long patrol per day and with being confined to the HQ in case of an emergency the rest of the time… Well, you can understand that this rhythm can't be maintained indefinitely. Something has to give at some point. I know that the Director has been negotiating to receive reinforcement, with no success so far, maybe Velocity's near-miss will be enough to convince the higher-ups to send help."
She looked at the ceiling and let out a sigh. "We can only hope."
Turning back her attention to me she continued. "It's nice of you to be worrying about that, particularly since you suffer far less from it. Assigning your partners to help during patrol may help mitigate things a little. Thank you."
I couldn't help but blush at her compliment and hurried to change the subject. "Um, yes, thank you. Anyway, there was something else I want to discuss if it's alright with you."
She motioned for me to continue.
"I presumed that you are aware of last night's encounter with Uber and Leet?" She nodded so I continued. "What do you think of their potential joining of the Protectorate? I'm not very comfortable with the idea. I mean yes it's fewer Villains in the street and more," I hesitated on the word to use but pressed on." heroes on our side. But they're not doing it out of the goodness of their heart, not because they have a guilty consciousness but simply because they think it means joining the winning team."
I made a frustrated noise and barely refrained from slamming the table. "There's even a good chance that they won't even be punished for the crimes, not even a slap on the wrist."
The heroine gave me a sympathetic look. "I can understand your feelings on that subject. And it's a complicated situation. Yes, in an ideal world Villains would be punished for their crimes before gaining a chance for redemption. But you know the situation we are facing, we can't afford to do anything that would discourage the rare cases when a Villain genuinely changes sides. And you can be sure that if they end up joining we'll be keeping a very close eye on them."
Frowning at that I grudgingly nodded. Yes, it was logical but it still rubbed me the wrong way.
Miss Militia hesitated for an instant before speaking again. "I'm not the best person to speak on that subject. When you have the time you may try to speak to Assault and Battery about it. They both need to confront that subject at some point in their career, they may have unique insight for you."
The way the heroine phrased that felt weird. Did they recruit a Villain at some point? I resolved to follow her advice when the occasion presented itself.
We finished our breakfast in silence after that. Going our separate way when leaving the cafeteria. We will be patrolling together not long afterward but I want to visit Velocity before departing.
When I reached the infirmary I was assaulted by the doctor I met earlier and another one that I never met before. Both want to learn everything they could about the medicines I produce earlier. Their interest mainly lay on the specific property of each one and on their potential reproducibility.
While I could talk at length about the property of each one, I was forced to disappoint them about potential mass production. The supply was sharply limited by my own power.
Learning that they both looked crestfallen so I tried to cheer them up a little by saying that I already sent samples through the PRT for study. Even if I was doubtful about it, maybe someone would be able to reverse engineer them to one extent or another.
Once I managed to get away from the duo I hurried toward the room containing the bathtub in which Velocity was cared for by my Doctor Fish Swarm. The fishes were still there but not the hero. I thanked my aquatic partners for their service and dismissed them.
A helpful nurse guided me toward the room where the speedster hero was now sleeping. I gave him a checkup as complete as I could in the short time that I had. All in all, it wasn't too bad, his skin was pink from recent healing and he was now bald but I saw no burn scar, he could breathe without mechanical assistance and his heartbeat was strong.
I didn't dare lift his eyelids to check his eyes but the nurse informed me that they were indeed damaged but to what extent wasn't yet clear. That worried me a little but hopefully, Panacea could help with that.
Now that I was reassured about Velocity's condition it was time for me to go on my morning patrol. I could only hope it would go well but knowing what happened during the previous ones I was having some doubts.
