I will note you're not calculating the, admittedly we slightly botched it one time and had to recover quickly (see the Traitor's Reward thing), fact that it also has narrative-mechanical effects in recruiting Hereteks on the planets we liberate/etc.
Sure but I can't measure something we didn't even see. Like it could have been amazing but we fucked it up a tad so...unknown data but based on known data...it's not looking great. Also we need to fight the Imperium remnant states more for that and no one wants to fight them cause Chaos is right here and I don't think Heretek's procs...probably

I will say that as cool as it is, I am a bit skeptical about a mobile monument, just because of the fact that accidents happen. I don't think HeroCooky would do that, but it does make me feel uncertain.
How about an immaterial monument?

Like they burned themselves out for the good of the federation, let their love burn one last time:
Cremate Teeln and Bnuy.
The flame are treated as a sacred artifact.
Carried away by torches lit from the pyre.
From those torches light a fire in every church/staffed building of worship, to be kept alive by the priest.
Light all candles used in the church from that, maybe have a holiday where public fires are lit from it where everyone can light lanters to take the holy light home.
Maybe also have some saint martin style lantern parades. (nigbttime parade with young kids carrying lanterns)

It has the "close to the worshippers" advantage of a mobile monument without the "if something goes wrong we loose Teeln&Bnuys body" disadvantage.
A flame might go out, but we'd have such massive redundancy that it seems impossible for the flame to be lost (unless we lose the quest completely).

Symbolically, the flame would be infinetly shareable without the original losing anything from sharing.

If the idea of starting a pilgrimmage thing is important to you, we could use the ashes from the pyre to fertilize a garden dedicated to Teeln&Bnuys.
With every Glimmerling hoping to See the fruits of their love at least once.

@HeroCooky I don't suppose we could get a free action to rename the Chamleon to Chameleon? Honestly not sure how autocorrect didn't catch that one.
No, it funni. : >
But making the Mausoleum mobile is just begging Chaos to snipe it on transit. Especially if you mean for it to travel through the warp.
Well, if people are actually thinking about doing that, I will say that you would be basically making this a mobile Holy Place, radiating Faith in the Warp. Unless something got really fucky, the ship wouldn't get lost in the Warp, because if Chaos could just do something so specifically targeted, Blue Man Solo Act would've been yeeted into the galactic core by now.

We would basically have to dedicate a fleet to defending it while it moves around though.

While a planetary/system Shrine would benefit from the defense forces and infrastructure.

Though I guess it is tempting to go for the mobile Shrine provided that we can keep adding to it and eventually make it into something like the Phalanx in terms of toughness and protective ability.

You say that like we wouldn't deck out a giant Holy ship with guns. And it's not like we'd be having it go anywhere near the front lines of any war

[X] Yes, we are making the Isle of Avalon
-[X] It took decades of debates, but in the end, it was decided that the Mausoleum of the first saint should acknowledge the realities of the future. It was decided that it needed to be able to survive the traffic of future pilgrims, be defensible in case vile Chaos tries to desecrate it, that First Hymnal Bnuy will also be buried with Teeln and present that despite his great achievements and sainthood, Prophet Teeln was still a man.
-[X] In the end, it was decided that Droma III would be a resting place of First Hymnal Bnuy and Prophet Teeln. The project was ambitious, and yet it was humble. People of the federation raised the new island from the planet's ocean and shaped it in the shape of the 5-armed star.
-[X] The paths were built with stones from every world of the federation, the Magos biologists gathered the most breathtaking plants that wouldn't endanger the local ecosystem, the military built a hidden bunker network that blended with the created landscape, and the name chaplets and resting spots were scattered around the island.
-[X] The pilgrims could spend five weeks walking around marvelling at a national park that held the Mausoleum within it; many of them brought flying lanterns to light in honour of the saint at the foot of the building itself or earlier if they found a place that they felt was right
-[X] Said building was impressive in comparison; it was nestled in an artificial valley constructed in such a way as to scatter the flying lanterns over the skies above the island; five-sided Pavilion of stained glass, which focused the light on the one double sarcophagus of Teeln and Bnuy with the light of the stained glass illuminating the words "Teeln loved Bnuy, and Bnuy loved Teeln."
--[X] The stained glass of the Pavilion itself presented a gathering of 55555 people, who all held candles (made of more transparent glass)

I made a plan while we wait for Laurent, it is basically the convention going "fuck, Teeln wouldn't want a overbuild church, we make a simpler resting place for him and put a ton of our gratitude in the surrounding park (it expanded from normal park to the national park)"

[X] The Butua-Class Grace of Their Hands
This 7km long, 1km wide, and 550m high ship serves as the last and mobile resting place of Teeln, Prophet of the Star Child, and First Hymnal Bnuy, both of which rest in the heart of the vessel side-by-side in a closed church that is only opened by trusted and specially tasked members of the clergy to maintain and clean the interior. Said church is surrounded by enough space for mourners and the faithful to pray, light candles, leave approved offerings, and meditate on the teachings of the two most influential figures of the Glimmering Federation. Aboard the ship is more than enough space for pilgrims to make their homes, either to join the endless journey of the vessel permanently or to leave at the next port. Likewise, enough internal space exists to allow the Butua-Class to ferry priests and aid to whatever planet they visit; the appearance of this holy ship inspires the faithful in more than the spiritual sense as material aid descends upon the planets to help those not yet aided.

I'm voting for the example b/c I think it's pretty cool and in a way even in death Teeln would still be bringing the light of the Star-Child across the stars and helping people.

Oh, that? Yeah, that allows you to actually take advantage of your Military Doctrine. Because, Fun Fact; you are using the utterly basic Mechanized Vehicles of humanity, rather than anything your own. Meaning that you are using Chimeras and Salamanders. And that's it.
so we aren't even using Tauroxs? damn.... I don't actually know any other vehicles besdies those three that wouldn't just be Tanks, Walkers, or the like. We really should do some research and double check what we are working with other options.

Like we know our Infantry is already equipped like the Solar Auxilia so what upgrades to the armor could be done to that at that point? same with weapons for the infantry since I think we already have Hot Shot Lasguns, and I think they already have plasma grenades.
And it was a time when the navy realized they had named their newest ship class the "Chamleon" instead of "Chameleon."
Whooops! that was embarrassing. I vote we keep it and roll with it much like how it ends up in RL.

-[X] In the end, it was decided that Dorma III would be a resting place of First Hymnal Bnuy and Prophet Teeln. The project was ambitious, and yet it was humble. People of the federation raised the new island from the planet's ocean and shaped it in the shape of the 5-armed star.

It's Droma, not Dorma.

[X] Plan: Sharing the prophets light
-[X] After long discussions, a consensus emerged that the memorial must fit the life of Teeln&Bnuy. And while they deserve every bit of opulence the systems of the federation could muster up for a grand memorial, that is not who they were.
-[X] They were humble, taking no luxury not available to the general members in the federation, they were guiding, and warming, and protecting.
-[X] So it was decided, that they should be cremated. --[X] The flames from the pyre would be considered blessed and taken with torches to every system, every planet, to be spread to every church, who would keep the flame alive and from it light their candles and lanterns. The flames would also be kept by every choir, remembering that they exist because of first Hymnal Bnuys guidance. The flames spread through the whole federation so they could always be close to those they worked so tirelessly for.
--[X] The ashes from the pyre would be used to fertilize a a garden where it all started, where they we're at home when not traveling: Candlekeeperstation. The garden is to include planets from all over the federation, represinting the blooming federation, the success of what they started.

So, anyone else have any other plans or votes? I'd make a plan but I don't have the mental energy right now to do so right now.
Got something for a distributed memorial.
(The flames being the main memorial)

I'm going to again advocate for a mobile Holy Place. We have the capability to make it a tough cookie to crack if that's what people are worried about and we already have confirmation that its very presence will calm the Warp. Making it mobile with an attached Choir will also make it so they're final resting place will truly be accessible to all while also helping ferrying priests and supplies to the worlds that need it.

I just think that making our saint basically a mobile religious attraction is a bit tacky.
