[X] Plan: Admiral K-531 sighed as they unsheathe their E-Tool.

You know, in the next turn or so I think we should build another Andromeda or design and commission its upgrade. (Yes, I know its in the plan to do so near the end of phase 1, but still!) Because this is the third(?) time we've been caught out wishing we had a spare to ferry our troops about due to an unexpected complication/windfall to avoid slowing down our offensive tempo.

Now that we can build 2 Light Cruisers a turn, now it's a painful choice between building 2 Andromedas and gaining 20 capacity increase or Designing a new, significantly improved Andromeda.

Well, how much better is a new and improved one? Can someone draw one up? If it's new capacity is 30 or something along those lines than there is no point in not designing a new one.

I think Alectai has a plan, but the difference is between a DP of 13 and a DP of 23. Though to note, there's basically no way to increase capacity, that's linked to a 10 DP piece of equipment.

If we wanted to improve on it we'd probably want to try to take the Psykana to do a V2 on the Navigator Psykana, and also to research Psytech...

Ooof. Ok so capacity won't change… I'd still like to see that plan however. Someone got a link/quote?

It would take a total of eight actions to get Bound to the Stars II and A Web of Song II, so it's something that we'd have to commit to and then follow relatively consistently... but it would definitely have some great impacts, and the individual Melodies that make it up are also just useful in their own right.

I forgot to ask, but does having a higher population give us more AP or not? What about our alien allies and the Lamenters? Do they have their own pool of AP? How do the space marines feel about the two xenos species?

edit: never mind I checked the Q&A.

The QM has repeatedly stated that we will not get any additional permanent AP. What will happen is the scale of the actions will increase as we build up. This is most visible in the amount of ships we can build now per AP.

Nope. But each AP will do more - or effect more people at least. I don't think it's fully reasonable to think of the Lamenters as having 'AP' per say as just agency.
Both the Lamenters and the Kil'drabi appears to effectively have AP of their own. Hence how the Kil'drabi built 8 frigates and a battlecolony in their own initiative.

I honestly want to throw some random Songs together and see what comes out. It's kind of sad that we only have three so far.

What can I say, I like the plan name.

very bad idea, we cannot overextend ourselves too much or we end up like Imperium (at least in the standard of living) and starting a possible uprising without a way to reinforce them is a cruel thing to do (also without our help they will probably fall to chaos when they grew desperate)
That we gain a capability doesn't means we have to use it on every Planet we theoretically could at the same time.
It doesn't work instantly.
It can also be used at revolting planets to try to spread revolt and make life for our troops and the revolutionaries easier.

We can be selective and we can pace the propaganda efforts to only have planets we are willing and able to take even if the propaganda doesn't take as long as expected.

I do want to emphasize I badly want a flagship with

Enhanced Strategium - While FleetSim, or Programm F733t, has been an unexpected development, its implementation as a training tool within a ship will improve the ability of Senior Officers to control the vessel, especially if that training is augmented with a multitude of other training tools and mandatory drills.

But it's hard to justify fitting into a heavy cruiser design (which seems like the choice for a flagship) without more idea of what it does. @HeroCooky can we have a hint?

Does anyone have ideas for write-in actions that could help mitigate the way expansion (and the subsequent penalties) crushes our action economy?
