What should your focus for the rest of the Quest be?

quintura diablo still hasn't been fully secured btw everyone. Also herocooky just tbc is the map correct that Brigach has no forces guarding it?

FLOWERING THORN was intended to clear the void lanes up to Kriegar. So far, they've succeeded, what we're Concerned about is the fact that they didn't react to us yet. But FLOWERING THORN is still in effect until the end of this turn, as they're about to get reinforced by the first tranche of Super Cruxes.

I'm hoping we can get to Automechanical Augmentations at some point, since that was unlocked by us choosing Mechanized as our focus for Military Industry V, and I think it would be nice to advance that. There's a whole bunch of really useful looking research options, though.

I'd like it too, but it won't be rolled out to support FLOWERING THORN. Upgrades only apply to operations that aren't actively on the go.

Yep. Although that applies to most things that we could get done this turn, of course.
Yeah, the idea here is that I want to get the Leo prototype fielded before a counterattack can be mustered, hopefully squeezing in Boarding research while we're at it.

Neon probably shouldn't have the slack at this point to be able to instantly pivot to counter us, but they're doing something if they haven't reacted to what we did yet.

I really don't think that's a great build for the Scorpio.... Let me revisit it and I'll get back to you

We didn't lose any infra let's go!!!

We haven't conquered the system yet. Could still happen.

I truly hope next turn we can spend 2 DP on the sanctifications and study of imperial designs.

I feel this in my soul, I really do. But at this very moment, the chapter is deciding it's future. I would like that future to be alongside us - so we should help them out.

Militarily the 2nd part of Flowering Thorn should see us through, I want to see those new Crux's on the battlefield.

Reasons: Upgrading Medical Services to 5 to get the perk and colonising Sira in order to make progress on increasing our ship construction speed.
If we're going to do colonization, I feel it would be better to colonize Silista X over Sira. I'm not entirely clear on what the Imperium is doing over there on Voxx Primus (waiting for an Ork attack that isn't coming, I believe?), but if they ever decide to start scouting out, it would be better to be two jumps away from them than just one. As long as we have options, we shouldn't colonize the system literally right next door.

Something like this should be fairly solid. The incredible acceleration and agility we get from this build allows this ship to go danger close, be reasonably capable of surviving it, and mitigate the flaws of the Prow Lance by having the agility to bring it to bear on command. Lances are the premier anti-armor weapon in 40K, and with plenty of dakka to suppress shields and the Lance to exploit shield breaches, this design should have excellent DPS at an economical price. Decent armor and shields on top of this should make it reasonably hard to kill.

The Bomber Hangar works by way of being "If your strike craft just need to hop next door to get the milk, they can be back before the tea cools off". Might actually be worth replacing the Autoloaders with Handpicked Pilots come to think of it... The question is if another 2 Medium Macrocannons worth of firepower is worth that extra bit of Performance in the bomber wing.

Anyone else noticed we're running out of [Faith] options?

I know that is probably because of the religion being almost complete since nothing that required modifications happened but it may be a good idea to finish them(but all V takes priority). Especially now that there is territory with more people who could fall to Chaos without the Star Child(and who can become followers of course).

Also the Millenium is almost at 500, I don't remember if there was a specific deadline for Emps death but the Child's sacred number could be it. It could also happen at the turn of the M43 but it may be good to keep an eye out for that regardless.

Hmm, so at current time Neon only has about 3 Fleets equal to ours, and even with what we gained from surrendered Neon vessels we're only about back up to when we fought the pirates. They really should have another fleet or two by now.

I'm wondering if Neon is reinforcing the Forge World, not to fend us off, but because they're losing control of the local Mechanicus Faction. We do have that sweet, sweet, Heretek converter perk.

Looks decent, but I still personally prefer my version since a Torpedo barrage can be really darn powerful and it complements the Crux Frigates well enough while also being more suited for getting in the thick of it.

Get the Lamenters involved.

Seriously the massive hinting of their presence in the update is what tipped the ex Neonites into this current position.

They can be powerful, but they still have to contend with armor plating, and even the fastest Light Cruiser will struggle to line up a salvo on a soft spot, while a Medium Prow Lance is hitscan and--to at least a degree--armor piercing at the cost of having a low rate of fire and not having a wide firing arc.

Having a Light Cruiser with a strong prow lance is a good niche, there's a reason why it's one of the major Dauntless versions (Along with, yes, the Torpedo Boat version--but our Scorpio as designed here is significantly faster than a Dauntless)

Upon consideration, these two get The Laurent seal of approval, though none of the plans are bad.

it sounds like Neon might be starting to have major internal issues, which makes sense a lot of the levers of oppression and control are just gone with the wider imperial structure.

Do they? I had the understanding that they damage the hull directly. And while yes, Torpedoes can be intercepted, that's why it's meant to be paired with a pair Crux Frigates who will also start taxing enemy ships with their own torpedoes and missiles. Plus I also think having some boarding craft for the first time would be nice
