  • [X] Plan: This is Our Land! TROLL LAND!
-[X] FIRST WARNING: "Unidentified Protectorate of Neon Battlegroup, you have entered the space of the Glimmering Federation. Withdraw to the Mandeville Points and return to Brotar, or we will recognize your advance as an act of war." Wait one hour for a response, if hostile or ignored, move to SECOND WARNING, if our borders are respected, great! If they defect... Uh, that probably qualifies as a turn break.
--[X] Send word to Task Force Alpha to commence an emergency redeployment to Itani immediately along with whatever intact SAGs can be mobilized for combat on , mobilize the Itani PDF and SDF, prepare for the possibility of battle by securing civilians and getting to shelters.
-[X] SECOND WARNING: "Unidentified Protectorate of Neon Battlegroup, you have ignored the first warning. Out of a spirit of common humanity, we will grant you a second warning. Withdraw from the Itani System immediately or we will treat this as an act of war. We fought the Orks, we've fought the machinations of the Enemy, and with Emperor and Omnissiah as our witness, we'll fight a jumped up aristocrat too if that's what it takes to preserve our prosperity and independence." Wait one hour for a response, if hostile or ignored, move to FINAL WARNING if our borders are respected, great! If they defect... Uh, that probably qualifies as a turn break.
-[X] FINAL WARNING: "Unidentified Protectorate of Neon Battlegroup, you seem to missed both of our prior warnings, you'll get one more because we're nice guys. This is the Territory of the Glimmering Federation, the sons and daughters of the abandoned. We've been polite so far, we will stop being so very soon if you don't accept our good natured advice. Withdraw to the Mandeville Point and return to Brotar immediately, or you'll see what we're like when we get actually upset. Do you see these two planets here? They saw what happened when we got upset. They're still in traction, do you see any green here? No, we were very thorough. Go home." Wait one hour for a response, if hostile or ignored, move to WELP if our borders are respected, great! If they defect... Uh, that probably qualifies as a turn break.
-[X] WELP: "That's three warnings you ignored, I don't know if it's arrogance, desperation, or if every single one of you has a busted vox, but that's not my business. What is my business is to inform you that a State of War now exists between the Glimmering Federation and the Protectorate of Neon. Be advised that we do accept surrenders, we're not animals, but short of that, you're going to have a very bad time really soon. Seriously, do you think this is all we've got? You people..." (Descends into grumbling as the vox is set down.)
--[X] Engage in Combat Operations to either repulse the attackers from Brotar, or at least deny them the ability to bomb or land forces on Magdab before Task Force Alpha gets in to show them what for. Hopefully use the time gained from the WARNINGS to gather further information and stack the deck further in our favor.

Yep. Now, the dream is that they back the fuck off, but we at least did our due diligence and gave them a fair chance to fuck off, and gave them an out.

The Itani SDF is about to get fucked though, Imperial ships are scary, and even though our SDF forces are also scary and outnumber them... Well, it's gonna get nasty. I just hope we can get some salvage to study.

Of course, if these are shitty, sub-IN ships, that'd be nice, but we can't count on that.

Also fun thing I just realized. My post on the Droman Creed is officially threadmarked. In theory I could literally alter the creed Animal Farm style to always make sure it says whatever I want.

I haven't, but I was going back to look over the Creed, since I wanted to think on how many miliseconds it'd take Neon to declare us Super Heretics deserving of Universal Exterminatus, and I noticed a simple typo and corrected it.

On April 1st, I should have saved the whole post and then replaced it with, "Four Legs Good, Two Legs Better" and so on and see if anyone noticed. :V

Question is, do you expect a Commander that's an Expy of Tanya to back off?

Actually, yes, because while the memes are that Tanya is a psychopath, she's actually mostly that way because she (Apparently rightly so) is worried that anything less than coming off like a psychopath will get her executed. Most of her Peak Insanity moments are forced from literal Divine Intervention, or Actual Perfidy (Like armed forces using civilians as human shields because they figure she won't actually follow through on her warning and want an advantage) that gets glossed over because the entire setting was formed by a seemingly omnipotent god who's insanely insecure despite it.

Whenever people actually play by the rules, she's generally content to respond in kind. It's just that nobody plays by the rules and so she goes "Well fuck you too then I want to live".

not really, they will probably try to figure out a loophole or something to throw at us while proclaiming for the emperor and raging at the "heretics" running the show...if they surrender...then that's a whole new kettle of fish.

or start gunboat diplomacy...

either case we do have a chior...and if shit really gets nasty, it may be prudent to throw a bit of sun-power at them if they start getting really messy and go straight into war-crimes.

yeah, this tends to happen allot, especially since as a mage child in the story she would have been Press-ganged into combat eventually, she just headed it off early on. Problem was she was too effective at her standing orders, and people for SOME REASON kept sending in the tyke-bomb into combat scenerio's. Being-X by my standards is no true god, but most likely a foul excuse of a spirit messing around.

heck even the beginning of the manga/anime/web-novel, the man her first life as a salaryman was firing was given so many chances to change his drug addiction with different resources and ended up losing the job and also killing her...under the influence of that false-spirit.

anyway lets hope they are *reasonable* sort variant of Tanya expie...and who knows, we might be able to on the best case scenario cause them to *doubt* their situation. and with that doubt we can crack open their shells and show them the proper path. And hey if this all happens, then we can thank that Neon for giving us the wonderful gift that was their soldiers, but from the stories they tell and the crimes against humanity itself...we have to step in and fix the mess.

Ehh, we'll see. Despite the name she's not actually Tanya... who admittedly kinda sucks as a person anyways, so far as I can tell? The Principality of Neon isn't going to be a whole plot reference to an anime. She's a noble in a system that empowers her[1] and, uh, does enough atrocities that even just looking at the Scout stuff had the leadership of the Glimmering Federation going, "They're evil and need to go down."

[1] Sure she's exiled, and that sucks, but she's still in charge of a meaningful amount of firepower and people.

so if we can't get tanya to join our side, think we can have Neon soldiers denounce their past alliances and turn to our side?

Rolling for fun to see if the Star Child is with us

eh, not a 55...but is close to nurgle mucking around, so a contested front there.

depends on if thgey really do care for their troops...and if they do, then we can probably get negotiating power. If its all press-ganged with commissars and such? snipe those commissars once they start shooting their own troops and then offer surrender. most imperial guard units would rather stick to their trenches then charge orks in open combat, but commissars will be commissars.

Not impossible, but we'd need to break their fear of reprisal first.

think the lamenators and our fleet will help? because we know this is just the first strike, were going to need to build those destroyer/frigate vessels for the mass transportation of our units soon enough...and hey if we're lucky we can standardize stuff...and if were really lucky we get the 55 roll again for some fun stuff.

so i know our libra did tons of dmg to ork forces but compared to standard imperial force, how would they fair? what made our fighters and bombers effective again (other then space marine level pilots)?
