I don't think that how it works once we reach x level in infra we get those benefits indefinitely unless we drop below -1 and even then we get it back once we go back into the postive.

But your levels still reflect the abilities of your systems. Less Void means worse SDFs, less Food means less food. :V

So yeah, we don't want our VI to dip too low. So we should make good our losses when we can. Fortunately, I do believe we only need to settle one planet per system in order to flip it to our color. So we only need to pay that price once, and we should strive to maintain VI 7 as a minimum for the immediate future, as our navy is our best defense.

Hmm this makes me think the relic will be good at our borders as a sort of buff to Fortress Worlds that act as a 'door' to the rest of our stuff. Well that or maybe acting as a beacon for other Star Child worshipers or sympathetic humans to naturally follow to us aka some sort of migration bonus?

Also note Mort's special gun is called Lantern too apparently. Would be funny if we somehow pulled a Blood Ravens and got a Chaos Primarch weapon lol

Thinking on it, as much as I'd like the mystery box Lantern, I think we do need some hiring up of our religious doctrine or tech.

Edit: Honestly, I think all of the options will be great so I won't be upset with any of the options winning.
