It means you must put in 1 Action for them to tick over.
Gotcha. So we lose the 3 actions that new dawn did. Unfortunate.

That changes the math on getting all-X, that extra 3 actions means it'll take an extra turn now.

Specifically we can still get food X and one of the other three to X in one turn, but the others will each take a turn apiece, with a few (two?) actions left over each turn.

1. Imagine a world where militaries, at best, make use of singular artillery pieces. And then some fucker comes along with an integrated artillery park. That's the sword situation with the Lamenters and other Space Marines.
2. Don't know, you can look that up on the wiki's.
1. oh.... OH. holy shit its THAT much? So anywhere from under five artillery pieces and never used together as a whole since they can't replace it or to risk it all in battle. and there's the one with integrated artillery support companies in every single brigrade that use them in mass and together as they use them as intended and can replace them. Holy fuck, I didn't realize it was THAT much of a powerful weapon and game changer.... which now makes a LOT of sense why Chyron was so flabbergasted that Alpha, Beta, Gamma, and Delta each had four power swords when he woke up and another twenty made and ready for future Lamenters. in the early quest... that was such a big deal that each of them and the next twenty would have that instead of having to rely on normal swords. And why that along with Force Swords as standard equipment and maybe the safer Melta guns are big game changers... These Lamenters are among the more deadly of Space Marines, all they need is some centuries to train up proper Librarians and build them Dreadnaughts and they should be fully kitted up in the ways Space Marines are.... except for Terminator armor, that's something that's going to be missing for a good while if we ever get it.
2. fair enough.

Less "Mass-produced" and more "expected of every Hymnal to create before they go into active duty."
So a lot about preparation and making sure they have all they need to fight before they first go into combat. Just the minimal amount of care and preparation, amazing how much that can pay off. I do wonder how Round 2 with the Dutchy will be if we ever Do go to war with them considering we're pushing advancements so hard. a lot more songs, melodies, and psychic equipment to boost it, Lamenters will have Librarians and maybe dreadnaughts, the Knight orders now have Questoris and later Errants, Gallants, and something else. Its like... yah.

The Great Advance Of Family Grown Enthusiastically
Cloud Their Ways Seen
Oh those are interesting songs.... maybe that's a population boosting song? I mean considering the worlds we've settled and the raito of baseline humans to pyskers.... I mean it might be good to sing that Song and see the effects considerings we could grow the pysker ratio more.

They are pretty much adjusted by now. Everyone who is currently alive only knows the world with a Federation and wider galaxy after all.
Oh okay, so we should good overall and they are nearing the time to start building stuff in space and the like. should be fun seeing them in the Federation. Oh and I think someone was asking can we Consecrate Mothome and that it won't mess up or conflict with those 11 eleven spirits the moths worships.

Paths are generally...paths. Definitions apply here. But Creativity can be used to narrow it down.
After considering your words assuming you wrote "But creativity can be used to narrow it down" only to realize Creativity is capitalized in your response and deleting what i wrote...

Is the c in creativity capitalized on purpose?

I.e. "use melody Creativity to narrow Paths down to paths through the warp"
("Path Creativity Protection" for protecting warp routes/warp route travel/whatever exact thing protecting warp paths would be interpreted as)

Or is it just a typo and you meant to tell me "yeah, possible, but you gotta figure out yourself how"?

And there's our new ship components!

Okay, looks like Rotary Plasmas suffer an additional size and cost penalty on top of the regular kind. So Heavy Rotary Plasmas are Grand Cruiser as a minimum hull size. A little sad, unless...

@HeroCooky, would Medium Rotary Plasma Macrocannons be stronger than Heavy Rotaries? They cost another DP, but if it's enough of an improvement, that could be worth it.

Oh, there's also "Combat-viable Regenerating Armor", which is going to be fantastic on ships that are expected to take a lot of fire. It's nowhere near Necrodermis level, but it's still combat-viable naval regen.

101.M43 - Blazing it
With the Federation embarking upon a new chapter in its approach to automated machines, as cautiously as it can, the most prominent question regarding the research does not come from any reasonable corners.

Not even the Thules; their desire for a dozen automated wing-mates to control during flight operations has basically turned an entire forest into paperwork at this point.

No, it has come from a Yeeni called Dawn Spring, high as a fucking kite, blazing it with a minor member of the research team.

"Yeah, that's great and all...but how will they look like?"

AN: Bonus points for people that can give me some picture for each, as it is too late here, and I am eepy. Night!

Crusader gets rid of doctrine bonuses and lets you mount guns on ships a size up. So... Maybe not a problem?

Yeah, but 15 DP on guns is pretty fucking steep. It's not beyond what we can afford, but it's steep nonetheless.

EDIT: It's worse actually, it's 18 DP for a set of three Heavy Rotary Plasmas, 15 would be the base price for Medium Rotary Plasmas, but that would qualify for the weapon discount, which cuts it down to 8 I think.

So, is it time to put together all the ship designs? We need:
-design action gives 20 fp
-- leo is 8
-- scorpio is 4
-- andromeda is 4
-- crux is 2
-- scout is 1 (finally orrerey?)
-- lupus is 1 (burner mines & plasma macro?)

I made an andromeda suggestion that has the carronade & the orrery if it's a good starting point.

Ooh, I like that but I kind of want s reference for visual gothic.

Hmm...

Limited Self-Meding Armor Coating - Insights gleaned into self-mending alloys by the Green-Black Ships have allowed our native research to rapidly achieve several breakthroughs, leading to this coating. Though quite costly, it is capable of repairing most damage to itself. Provided there is either time or the damage is minimal. Nonetheless, the time-frame and speed are still relevant in combat and may allow a brawler to survive that last critical hit it otherwise couldn't.

@HeroCooky, would Medium Rotary Plasma Macrocannons be stronger than Heavy Rotaries? They cost another DP, but if it's enough of an improvement, that could be worth it.
Since it is Medium and not Heavy...no? Unless you mean Normal Heavies to Plasma Mediums. Then depends. Plasma Macros are more accurate and fly farther. That's why they are used.

But really. Night.

Light Contagion Bomb - A miniature version of the most commonly used "contagions" (read: all manner of biological weapons ranging from plants to mushrooms) by Irritan warships, these are not fast-acting, but they will continuously degrade enemy ships once hit.
Medium Contagion Bomb - A Federation-native version of the most commonly used "contagions" (read: all manner of biological weapons ranging from plants to mushrooms) by Irritan warships, these are not fast-acting, but they will continuously degrade enemy ships once hit.
Huh, so similar to that one omake where it was used against the pirates. and these Contagion bombs are slow acting bombs that will degrade the ships they hit... not exactly sure how but I'm guessing it infests the inside and does Last of Us style zombies or the like, making it hell and death for the crew or growing over and into the parts of the ship that damage it in a way.

Notice! Due to their size, these weapons cannot be mounted on anything smaller than Grand Cruisers.
Heavy Rotary Plasma-Macro Cannons - These Heavy Rotary Plasma-Macro Cannons use plasma-based propulsion to deliver their massive munitions faster, over longer distances, and more accurately, at dizzying speeds.
Oh holy shit this is now only for Grand Cruisers.... just a reminder we ARE only 1 Development level away from Grand Cruisers. Just saying.

The Starlance - Though named after the weapon that annihilated twenty-two Light Cruisers in its first showing against the Federation, the weapon is projected to be far weaker than its namesake, and, far more importantly, will not need a billion sapient souls to fire, nor the weird black stones used as amplyfiers. Situated in the prow of a ship and operated by a Choir, the Starlance projects a beam of psychic might against the enemy in a continuous stream at short ranges, with its destructive potential enhanced if a ship accelerates against its targeted foe. (Requires a Choir to operate.)
shit its a 7 DP weapon? and still requires a Choir to operate and needs prolonged contact in order to deal damage.... I do think we need speed on this ship high and with some maneuverability since it works best with jousting attacks.

Notice! Due to their size, these weapons cannot be mounted on anything smaller than Battleships.
Heavy Contagion Bomb - An awe-inspiring Federation-native version of the most commonly used "contagions" (read: all manner of biological weapons ranging from plants to mushrooms) by Irritan warships, these are not fast-acting, but they will continuously degrade enemy ships once hit.
Oh wow this went a size or two up. So Heavy Contagion bomb are Battleship only ones. I pity whatever gets hit with THAT.

I mean of course the Thules would want to be a solo pilot with more automated wing mates so they can pull off things that only need them to worry about themselves and the other crazy ideas.

Dawn spring who is high as a kite.... yah this checks out for who would be in charge or thinking of the design we would submit.

In general, a solid colour with painted details made by the people, with mask-like faces with some playing dress up with them with old clothes or people who make clothes that name I forgot tailors making a prototype or for fun to clothe them.

Edit/More fluff: I want to include the human common involvement of our people with machines but turn it into something more sophisticated as time and our civilisation progress. The hand-painting remains but people now incorporate them into more complex designs, be their plants, constellations or even common geometric shapes. People live prosperous lives and can afford hobbies like making costumes/clothes for automata, and tech-priests/people who will be doing the conservations let them donate them as long as they aren't in the way of their work.
We aren't imperium (gothic style), we aren't our ancient ancestors (Clean Lines) and not all of us are Thule (Animalistic); we're the followers of Starchild who saw the grim ever-present darkness of the 40k universe and told it "No. There is still hope."

Also, I really like how porcelain dolls look like

The Animalistic reminds the Thule of their preferred lovers (be it Yeeni or Lizardpeople), raising her excitement allowing higher levels of performance!

Oh shit that's pretty cool actually. Not sure if we want to go too human but what are the sauce for these?

I made an andromeda suggestion that has the carronade & the orrery if it's a good starting point.
Looking at it, I don't think we should have the Micro-Warp Jump engine on this since it needs 30 seconds to fire up and if it feels the need to jump it's probably going to be too late. If we want something that can be used in an emergency, might as well but Shield Overload on it and an Flak Turret or Two on so it can protect itself and just leave the Celestial Orrey for the Scout Sloops.

Now give me a sec to come up with some designs.
Alright, good to know then, thanks, sleep well!
With that in mind, I think it might be best to stick with Heavy Rotaries. After all, this is meant to be a close-range brawler.
