[X] So... SO much to do

It's good enough. Probably can be improved, but I don't know how.

Focus:
-[X] Expanding the Portal Network
Any particular reason for this? We already get one portal per year, and there aren't that many places in Avalar we need to connect:
According to the King, portals will be gradually produced, focusing on first connecting the most populated areas to Warfang and then to each other.
Reward: Portal Network expands by 1 each year. Increasing benefits based on the number of portals.
The main advantage of choosing it as a focus would be that the requirements are lowered from a grandmaster (i.e. Volteer) to a 'mere' master enchanter. Sure, if we want to build villages or temples at the nexuses ASAP it'll help, but otherwise the slow expansion by 1 portal/year seems sufficient.

Also, personally I'd want to add some sort of IFF feature (or heavily defended portal plaza) before creating a wide-spanning portal system that allows armies and infiltrators easy access into the heart of Warfang if they manage to reach any of the other portals. What use are Tier 3 fortifications if an enemy can circumvent them?

Write-ins for this would be awesome as I don't have many ideas.

Maybe a difficult action to prevent anyone of races/individuals from using them, but I'd have to make that an incredibly hard roll to figure out.

There is, getting Fulmen into enchanting. When everything is said an done, I needed something for him to do. I could switch portal network to education or research, but I don't think I can do anything else without extensive changes to the plan.

Just as an FYI, Fulmen will have his own special actions soon. In fact after the Pool of Visions is recreated he will have some very useful things only he can do.

Did we chose a name for the son yet?

I am tempted to name them Chrimson, as there is a chance they will be king (obvious jojo reference, I know) , but I want to be a little more serious in choosing a name.

Just so eveyone knows, I've switched Cynder's Personal Attention from looking into the apes to looking into Hunter. We need more intrigue heroes.

Let's hope one of those things is giving us better background rolls.

This reminds me, does my vote for Marrow still count despite doing it before this turn, or do I have to do it again?

By the way, can we set up a portal to the Strange Glade? You know, to keep the rats away?

No, you'll have to add your name vote to your current vote.

That's an option. You'll want to return to the glade first however. With how strange things might have changed down there.

Spyro gains trait Blood Novice (Can use Blood, +1P, +5 to Blood rolls): Spyro has learned the basics of the dark element Blood in spite of his own noble nature.
We could add this to the character sheet, @Nianque .

Depending on the way aether is counted, blood is either the seventh or eighth element. And seven can be a !magic! number.

Plus both parents having wind and blood lets them understand their children better, I am guessing.

Name vote:
[X] Sanguis

Write-ins for this would be awesome

Portal Plaza
: Umbra raised concerns that an extended portal network would allow enemies to attack or infiltrate the heart of Warfang through the other, far less defended towns. While Volteer hypothesizes that access could be restricted to certain races and individuals, such an enchantment would be a daunting prospect even for said Guardian. An alternative solution was proposed by the architect Pirro of house Baselt. A central dome reminiscent of a trillant-cut gem with Warfang's portal arches slotting into its facets, surrounded by a grand plaza that serves as a transport and trading hub... while hiding safety measures worthy of a fortress.

For the description in the results segment once we undertake the action, I would propose the following defenses:
A simple enchantment that generates a gentle chime and flash of light whenever something passes through is surprisingly effective against infiltrators. The guards at each portal are more a distraction from the unseen contingent of Umbra's shadows looking down from an upper level of the dome. If an army should try to force their way through, the floor in front of each portal can be collapsed into a pit trap, with burning oil spewing down from seemingly decorative statues. The colonnade and buildings surrounding the plaza are styled to generate a regal atmosphere, but upon closer inspection one would notice that their outer walls are built to the same standard as Warfang's city walls, while several of the buildings hold hidden ballistae.

Cost: 1425 gold. Time: 2 years. Reward: Portals fortified with Tier 3 defenses.

Surprised nobody wants to do Deeper Ties (Fear Dragons), should combo nicely with the efforts for dealing with the Dark Stygian. Granted, the more antagonistic half of the organization probably wouldn't be pleased, but eh.

@Nianque: Right, I never did get around to writing that second Blackout omake... Hmm, basically the idea was him chatting a bit with Screamsaver (showing he means no harm) and establishing that Blackout's fears of the Waking World is more the fear of being helpless there & of permanently changing how he interacts with the Dreamscape.

Though, I am curious... regarding Cyril's apprentice, when exactly did he recruit her and how much do the others know about her? I could probably write up an omake for Rorrim, especially since a new Ice Guardian-in-Training would be a big deal to him.

Sounds good.

He's had his eye on her for a while and spent a good portion of last year scoping her potential out. The biggest thing is that Pruina is a noble that reminds Cyril of himself to a large degree. On the spiritual side of things, she's shown a natural aptitude for the mirror-like properties of Ice.

I have a few things I'm writing for a handful of characters, one of which will be an introduction to Pruina among others. No idea when I'll finish them though :p

It's a good idea, but I'm saving it for the same turn we do Deeper Ties (Dark Stygian), and I wanted to do Examine (Dark Stygian) with Timor first. Also, I wanted to put our foot in with Hyrule factions that our intelligence network isn't likely to reach. And I recall some time ago that a challenger to Elder Adrian wanted to leave the dragons, so I think Croesus is the most likely to leave us.

Also, assuming things go well in Umbra's interrogation, all of our diplomacy and intrigue options will be open after this turn, so I'm thinking when that comes to use most of those actions on Persons of Interest for the rest of the Kingdom's leaders. Should be handy when we complete Internal Ties soon. Anyone think that's a good idea?

I don't recall there being a challenger to Adrian, could find where I stated that please?

Perhaps he's referring to five years ago, in the turn 13 rumor mill? See here:
Elder Adrian Shows Young Warriors How it is Done: Many of the younger warriors still resent Elder Adrian's choice to submit to the strange foreign dragons that they have found themselves next to. This year the more hothead among them challenged the Elder to a duel in an attempt to take over the town. In a shocking display of skill, Elder Adrian shows why he has lived so long by thoroughly trouncing his challenger with axe that he wears so proudly. He then proceeded to explain to the entire town the benefits of his decision to join the fledgling kingdom and by the end of the year there are none left who doubt his leadership.
