Spyro's Kingdom (Legend of Spyro Crossover)

I know, it was in my original plan, but I remembered how we need to know more about the cheetah's leaders, and I want to recruit Fulmen as soon as we can so we can train him. I just couldn't find room for it.

I just hope that assigning Timor to it helps make up for it somewhat. He is higher then average in stewardship and learning.

We can just research Perseus next turn, building the Education District has been long overdue and it'll give so many benefits. Like we'll finally have a Library, and formal education would really help out Galena. Plus a smarter population is a safer population.

I was just about to suggest osha compliance and medicine, and you said it much better .

Otherwise, I would want someone keeping an eye on Volteer when he does "research". We don't want another dead guardian, at least while they still have many good years and things to teach.

I say we don't bother with dragon armor until either the likely-hood of conflicts increase or Spyro or Cynder attain the ability to make their master-craft armor.
Dragon-Armor is increased by magnitudes in ability if it is built and worn by a single person exclusively.

Feel free to suggest new actions by the way. I think I'll include an action to give each Guardian a personal guard next turn.

Alright, I made some changes.

I switched researching Perseus to coordinate with the Moles, and changed the either action from dragon armor to spending time with Volteer.

Is this better?

The Advanced Sympathetic Enchantment project doesn't look like it will go any higher any time soon. Between that and what the portal enchantment difficulty will be, I estimate 7 years minimum for the Advanced Enchantment Project and Thinking With Portals Part 1 to complete if nothing changes and we do not get lucky rolls.
Part Two of the portal project seems to be tremendously easier if we use Spyro and Cynders personal time, so, if we manage our time correctly we are likely to complete that part of the project first.

[X] Plan: Let's get that bread

[X] Remove the suppression and wake her up.

That reminds me, did Spyro ever regain Dragon Time? If not, that'll be a great option for future turns. Though that does beg the question: if there's no Time Elemental Nexus and no presence of a Time Element otherwise, what exactly is Dragon Time? Like, raw magical power or Aether shenanigans?

Besides that, doing research into Spyro and Cynder themselves would be a good option. Like, learning to create purple dragons or artificially induce the state would do wonders for the population's safety.

That, and it'll make things easier on our researchers & crafters if they have access to all the Elements they need. So many projects clearly require the involvement of multiple Elements, which means taking time to recruit the people you need.

Oh, actually... maybe we could try introducing our Elements to other worlds? Hmm, oh! What about creating artificial Elemental Nexuses? Sure it'll unbalance things if they're too powerful, but imagine!

We could create miniature Nexuses to serve as power sources, like we could use miniature Water Nexuses so villages & cities always have access to clean water. Whereas I'm sure magical blacksmiths could make special stuff with Fire Nexuses in their forges.

[X] Remove the suppression and wake her up.
    [X] Keep her suppressed
[X] Remove the suppression and wake her up.
-[X] 1st Avalar Army (1/2): At the recent conference to decide the fate of the government, it was decided to raise an army to defend Avalar. This army will be a combined arms force consisting of 10% of each group's total population. It would be best to focus on creating this army first. Note: The army does not currently exist.
    --[X] Clarity
-[X] Internal Ties (4/10): The many peoples of Avalar are as of yet not used to working together on such a large scale. Focus on binding the many peoples of Avalar closer together. Note: The kingdom is currently not unified.
    --[X] Ventis
-[X] Study Tactics and Equipment (Bandosians) Clarity recommends studying how other peoples and nations conduct war in order to broaden your own knowledge on the subject. While studying the moles, cheetah, centaurs, or humans will allow an easier blending of the 1st Army of Avalar, the study of an enemy's tactics and methods will allow her to plan around fighting them.
    --[X] Pyra
-[X] Coordinate with the Moles (Rebuilding the City (Education)): The moles have agreed to coordinate on construction projects around the city. They are eager to rebuild the city and have expressed worries about the lack of walls.
    --[X] Cyril
-[X] Diplomatic Negotiations (Reliquia and recruiting Fulmen as a Seer and possibly Volteer's new apprentice): Ventis has offered to enter talks with one of the other races or groups. Several of the known races have knowledge or services that dragons do not and the Wind dragon is willing to see if he can negotiate a deal of some kind. There are many groups that could be negotiated with, though not all would be easy. Ventis would also like to see if he can negotiate the admittance of other peoples into the kingdom, both on and off of Avalar.
    --[X] Zephyr
-[X] Scouting Hyrule: With the more immediate issues taken care of, Umbra believes that it would be a good time to scout Hyrule and find out what possible allies and enemies can be found in this new land. He would prefer to do this as soon as possible in order to not be blindsided; there may be things worse than the already encountered monsters and the spy would like to know what he needs to prepare for. Umbra does believe it likely that the natives are for the most part friendly, but you have likely not encountered all of the different races that call Hyrule home.
    --[X] Umbra
-[X] Monitor the Kingdom: With the knowledge that there is a powerful race of shapeshifters and the potential for similar threats, Umbra would like to do a sweep of the kingdom in order to be sure that you have not been infiltrated by subversive elements. While this will hopefully ensure that there are no threats to the kingdom already inside your borders, the other settlements may not appreciate Umbra's Shadows sulking around investigating every little thing.
    --[X] Phydra
-[X] Expanding the Fish Farms: Glacies and Phydra believe that the population of fish has replenished enough to begin expanding the fish farms. While as right now Warfang has a small surplus, this will not last as the population continues to grow. Glacies would like to preempt any kind of food situation by starting it and claims that the extra food will convince more dragons that it is a good time to start a family.
    --[X] Glacies
-[X] Rebuilding the City (Education): The new school is a good first step toward ensuring the best possible education, but Glacies and Therris would like to take it even further. They have plans to create buildings designed to assist in the training of all major specialties including healers, enchanters, diplomats, and construction among others. With assistance from the other advisers, they will be able to have talented dragons trained and directed their way.
    --[X] Timor
-[X] Advanced Sympathetic Enchantments: Now that Therris has discovered how sympathetic enchantments works, he has discovered that there is far more to the subject than he had first thought. From portals, to the pool of visions, to even the disease that killed Terrador. All of these things and more used the same concepts and Therris thinks that he can figure out the underlying principles. This will enable the use of the enchantments on a far wider range of things, such as connection distant locations, the Fire of a volcano to a place far away, and other such things.
    --[X] Volteer
-[X] Training New Guardians Part Two Elemental: With five new Guardian Initiates and the Fire Guardian Apprentice Pyra found alive, it is time to resume training. The first step in this training would be to instill what the Guardians consider the basics. This would consist of patching the holes in the initiates' education. As a Guardian, they are expected to be polite, knowledgeable, capable leaders, and able to take care of themselves in combat.
-[X] Research Religion (Armadyleanism): Now that Armadyleanism has spread to Avalar and is thus far the only accepted religion of it's kind, Cyril thinks it a good idea to research it in depth. Studies into how worship of the gods impact their worshipers could prove to be most enlightening. Though he suggests studying Armadyleanism first, there are a wide number of religions on Gielinor that could also be studied.
    --[X] Therris
-[X] Spyro - Mastering the Elements (Wind): While Spyro can be considered an expert in using the elements, he could go further and begin the process of mastering an element. This would require dedicating his time to one element; with the temple restored and the new initiates trained, it will be considerably easier to train the elements.
-[X] Cynder - Spend Time with (Galena): There are many significant individuals in Warfang, both dragon and non-dragon. Spend some time with one of them and you may learn something. (May choose a character or leave it up to QM)
-[X] Either - Spend Time with (Volteer): There are many significant individuals in Warfang, both dragon and non-dragon. Spend some time with one of them and you may learn something. (May choose a character or leave it up to QM)

I think one of the producers of the The Legend of Spyro trilogy said that the Chronicler taught the Dragon Time ability to Spyro for the sole purpose of allowing him to survive the collapse of the Mountain of Malefor. He more or less lost the power after he made that crystal to survive the end of The Eternal Night.

Then again, that could just be their way of writing out that ability so that they don't have to incorporate it in the next game, so i'll just leave it up to Nianque if we still have that power or not.

Spyro did in fact lose dragon time. According to him it felt similar to aether, but more... raw. He believes that he could recreate the skill with a higher mastery of aether.

Imitating purple dragons will require either grandmaster with aether or paragon piety (breaking mortal limits by doing something epic and nearly impossible). Creating purple dragons? Not something you will be doing without being a paragon of aether.

Introducing elements to other worlds is definitely possible, but not something you want to attempt until you understand the current elemental state of the world. And there are some worlds that doing this to is apocolyptically bad.

As for creating minature nexuses you would need either a paragon with that element or grandmastery with aether and at least mastery in the element you want. There are other ways, but I won't be revealing those at this time.

Oh boy. Spyro has the likes of Godhood ahead of him.
All the more reason for us to grind elements as well.
Speaking of, is it only the "base" elements research that give a bonus to Aether research (Earth, Fire, Lightning, Ice) or are the "derivative" elements viable for bonus to Aether rolls as well? (Air, Water, Shadow, Poison, Fear, Blood, Smoke, etc).

Mean, since Aether is more-or-less the Reality Element, it makes sense that obtaining more Elements (aka methods of manipulating reality) would make mastering Aether easier.

Yeah, but it'd be good to clarify if it's not the case. I don't want us unlocking derivative elements for us to lower Aether scores until we find out later "Only base elements affect Aether bonus".

The nine elements currently part of Avalar will give a bonus to 'Shaping Reality'. Additionally another bonus will be added if Spyro already has the element that he is trying to add to reality. Obviously the more skilled he is qith the element in question, the easier it is to add.

Don't expect to snowball the bonuses just because Spyro knows 15 elements that are all a part of Avalar or something. It will be harder to add elements if there are already a bunch.

Is there a difference between "Reshaping Reality" and creating Artificial Nexuses? Like Blood sounds a lot more useful and unique to add, compared to Smoke. Still, having access to Smoke Nexuses is sure to have their uses.

Sorry OP, that's not what I meant, I meant training Aether skills.

If we ever gain access to electrical technologies, the Lightning Nexus will likely supply us with unlimited electrical power.
Fire, we can heat our homes and our other stuff with it.
Earth... um, we can strengthen our structures?
Ice, we can cool stuff off with as an oversized A/C.
Wind, we can make forcefields out of air?
Water, we can direct water currents, purify water, as well as an unlimited source of water.
Fear, we can scare livestock into submission and set up our walls to terrify any invading armies.
Poison, well, poisons and toxins have inumerable mundane uses IRL, as well as applying passive damage to any invading armies, making them drop dead as they march.
Shadow, we can hide ourselves in plain sight, the shadow of our buildings wrapping around Warfang to make us invisible.

On some element wheels, Earth is split into Wood and Metal.

The way they are related is interesting, and I don't know if each of those could be separate elements here, as I am sure a skilled Earth dragon could understand both aspects well.

Metal definitely falls under earth. Wood is... very, very broadly affected and is more of a 'Earth+Water' kind of thing. A plant/wood/nature element would fit in quite nicely.

Ah. Yeah more skill with more elements makes that easier, but the four pillar elements are much more significant when it comes to aether. In fact aether is locked behind them in canon, Spyro only got access after learning all four.

Oh, so would Fire/Earth/Electricity/Ice Grandmastery contribute significantly then to Aether training? Actually getting Grandmaster for them would take, what, 40 Turns minimum?

... Oh, there's an idea for future actions. Maybe we could have Actions focusing on improving Elemental Learning progress? It took the Guardian Recruits about a decade to reach their current standing, and about another 10 Turns until they're all Grandmasters.

Plus, with Fulmen... Yeah, we clearly need some method for accelerating Elemental progress. Good thing we're getting the Education District built finally, so hopefully that'll unlock some "Improve Elemental Training" actions or something?

Remember that grandmasters were never supposed to be easy to train. There are a grand total of four at the moment and all four are Guardians who dedicated a significant portion of time toward utterly mastering every facet of their element. The number of non-Guardian/Purple Dragons who reach grandmaster can be counted in the single digits over the course of known history. Though to be fair... Known history does not go back very far and past five hundred years it descends into myths and legends.

As for actions related towards improving that? What do you think that new action for temples at the nexuses is for? Once you get portals unlocked and can ferry people through them, the proposed temples will have a massive effect on current training rates. ...After you figure out nine different sets of materials and methods for building at the most elementally volatile places in the world.

Finding the path is an important step towards walking the path.
We'll likely not bother training elements past Master until we have portals to their Nexus.

Hey, having Master Rank in all nine of Avalar's Elements would still significantly improve our current odds with Aether training. Plus, "Thinking with Portals Part 2 Aether" is already 30/50% just the way Spyro & Cynder currently are.

So figuring out Portals actually shouldn't be too far off if we just keep improving their Elemental abilities some more. Which, admittedly, does bring up a question...

@Nianque: If Spyro and Cynder train the same Element at the same time, would there be a bonus to their learning? If so, what affects that bonus? Like, since neither have Water yet, would joint training in Water give less of a bonus? Compared to, say, Spyro & Cynder training in Fire or Shadow for example.

Don't forget we'll have to find more nexuses and build more temples when we make more new elements.

On a side note, when we start studying elements, one of the first ones I want to look into is Fear. Unlike all the other elements that are natural aspects of the universe, Fear is an emotion. That is a weird outlier that I think is worth looking into.
