@Oshha is Seryn's ability something given to her because of her Traits, or is it something any spirit can do?

If so, can we ask her how she did it?
Having influential mortal followers to delegate to seems pretty useful.

It is something that any spirit can do, but Seryn's set of traits and her large amount of power makes it extraordinarily effective when she does. Aeryn is basically equivalent to a normal spirit and is limited only have how much power that Seryn lets her use. At the moment, Aeryn is granted about 20% of Seryn's power, which means that she could take on Bronwyn with ease and would have a good chance of defeating you while Evatine and Cynfanor would be too tough for her.

Yes and you have done so you already know how to do it.
It is, but you have yet to roll any influential mortal followers apart from Bronwyn.

You make our character sound so pathetically weak, but really it's just that our daughter is stronk.

Yes? I hoped that should have been obvious? Seryn is basically two spirits and a half spirits worth of power with two villages supplying her with worship. At the moment, Seryn is so relatively overpowered that I'm trying to think of new ways to provide challenges for you without breaking any game mechanics for the sake of making things more difficult.

I mean, there doesn't really need to be much external challenge right now, considering how "early" the quest is.

You could maybe throw some spirits at us that aren't immediately going to make Seryn eat them, but who also aren't immediately helpful like Evantine is.
Although I would personally be perfectly fine with a couple of turns of "you build shit while spending time with family and friends"

First Umi-san got his hands on my notes and now it seems you have as well. :p

Agreed but I can't wait for the people to our *rolls a d4* east to invade us in 7-9 turns, though. Or we could always trade with them, really.

We need to figure out this shrine stuff....
.... I should have had us visit our daughter and ask... *facepalms* but it's too late and I want the path finished.

Seryn has two shrines because she took Cynfanor's and Morcivana. Her method of getting additional shrines is to kill a spirit and loot theirs.

So, if this isn't too spoilery, will we learn more about being a spirit and doing spirit things (like building/upgrading Shrines) over time, or do we have to experiment with such things?

Either way works. The former is slower, but more reliable while the latter can provide quicker results, but is more hit and miss.

As for upgrading your existing shrine or building a new one, you have yet to meet the criteria for either, but are getting close.

Is it? Even cristiandom was built on top of previously existing religions... The only problem is that we can't have shrines at the same city :V
Christiandom wasn't a pantheon. (The three are one; saints are prayed to but more on an intercessionary basis.) Having shrines at the same city is a big deal.
Like, I guess that Greece did have cities dedicated to a specific god, but there were still shrines dedicated to the other gods in that city allowing worship to be divided fairly and the influence of each god widened so their expertise could be applied where relevant. If we figure out inter-deity attribute loaning having widespread brick-and-mortar godfronts won't be necessary, but until this virtualization of the faith exchange market takes place, same-municipality locations are a necessity.

:p

Christianity hasn't got a pantheon and doesn't incorporate the deities of local religions into it.

Evatine, Bronwyn and Gwarlon are worshipped by Evalon and Avawyr while Seryn is worshipped in Bedywn and Bedynn. Seryn is starting to receive worship in Evalon and Avawyr due to being your daughter and known in the latter while worship of you, Evatine and Bronwyn is slowly spreading in Bedwyn and Bedynn as Seryn consolidates her hold and you have made yourself known further with your visits.

Actually christiandom does incorporate other pantheons even if there is only a single god, and even more, local rituals and pagan comemorations have been incorporated, christmas existed before the religion, for example, and alot of angel and demon names came from old, now forgotten, gods. So it did exactly that: destroyed what was and took it for itself. Don't take me badly, I'm christian, but the begginings were... Very bloodied...

I would debate this, but it isn't the right thread so I'm going to leave it.

Any questions you want to ask?

Umi, maybe we should evolve the ones we got instead of getting more aspects? =X

I want something that will add more of a proactive capability. Atm our build lends itself toward productivity and leadership which is cool, but the earth needs rain & the odin needs a spear.

I guess we can do earthquakes and raise/incorporate a rain deity and rely on our strongest daughter as a martial projective force & evatine as a diplomatic projective force.
More leadership-based ones are the closest, but they actually aren't that close.
:(

If we get high enough in earth, we can do some really strong bullshit, like turning a disc under a whole city and thus having it buried in seconds, or throw literal mountains at people.
