With Cynfanor and Morcaviana defeated, Caradawg and his followers gone and Bedywn and Bedynn under the control of Seryn, life goes back to a relative normal. You and Bronwyn go back to leading Avawyr while Evatine remains secluded in Evalon though you have been making more of an effort to visit him this cycle.
You and Bronwyn focus on healing your followers and bolstering the crops of this cycle's harvest when it comes to your spiritual duties. Oh, you still bless and inspire, but those are secondary compared to healing and the harvest.
While you are lacklustre at healing, Bronwyn proves to be very effective at it and while she does poorly at the harvest, you are able to produce a decent extra haul out of it.
Otherwise, the two of you work on the Ava Cove Passage together with your followers assisting you when they are able. While it falls to you to do most of the heavy lifting, between the lot of you, you are able to make steady progress on the project.
In fact, if things keep us this good, you will able to finish the passage by the end of the Long Cycle.
Of course, that is not all that you do. While Bronwyn stays home and focuses on running Avawyr and sorting out the various and fortunately minor problems caused by the fighting with Cynfanor and Bedywn, you set off to visit your family who do not live in Avawyr.
You make several visits to Evatine and Seryn, often linking them together as you will take a boat to Evalon before going to Bedynn to see Seryn and then visiting Evatine again on your way back to Avawyr.
The trips are interesting. Evatine is busy as usual. While he does more than a usual amount of healing to help with lingering war wounds, he otherwise attempts to inspire his followers to greatness. Alas, it is not to be and there is no sparks of insight or creativity amongst the Evalonish.
Nonetheless, great works are to be found on Eva Isle. Throughout the cycle, Evatine has had his avatar work on spears forged from the metal that he now wields, turning the special rocks that your followers trade to him into powerful weapons of hunting and war.
In gratitude of Avawyr's friendship and trade, Evalon grants you a dozen of his metal spears, a full quarter of what he had spent the cycle making.
And it isn't only Evatine who is busy in Evalon as his mortal followers go about constructing walls of carved wood around the village. With knowledge of the destruction that Bedwyn and Bedynn have suffered at the hands of invading warriors, Evatine and the villagers of Evalon seek to avoid the same happening to Evalon in the future
With Evatine's energy invigorating their minds and bodies, the Evalonish are able to build a sturdy set of thick wooden walls around Evalon. Securing the village against any surprise attacks, Evatine has warriors patrol and guard the walls and equips them with the three dozen metal spears.
In fact, that wooden wall gives you an idea of your own.
As for Seryn, your daughter is settling in nicely as the Spirit of Bedywn and Bedynn. Just as they call you the Great One, Evatine the Noble One and Bronwyn the Beautiful One, Seryn is becoming known as the Mighty One.
And you cannot deny that she more than worth of such a title, easily surpassing anyone else that you know of. Seryn could crush you and Bronwyn with ease while even Cynfanor never reached the level of power that your daughter has. Even Evatine would not stand a chance against her unless he was defending Evalon with an army of his followers backing him up.
Whilst technically the strongest with unmatched spiritual power and two villages answering to her, Seryn has been running damage control on Bedwyn and Bedynn as both have taken heavy damage and losses in the last few cycles.
While Bedynn has suffered worse damage, it is Bedwyn that has taken more losses as between Cynfanor's conquest of Bedynn, the Conquest of Bedwyn and the defection of the Cynfanor loyalists, Bedwyn has suffered losses that are equal to double the population of Evalon and Avawyr combined.
As result, Seryn spends most of the cycle repairing the damage that her new villages have suffered whilst establishing her rule.
She has yet to face much resistance of her new rule. Those who would remain loyal to Seryn have either died in battle or fled with Caradawg while Bedynn is still reeling from being ransacked twice in the last few cycles and the loss of their original spirit.
With little opposition, Seryn has been establishing Bedwyn as her main village as its large potential population and the martial traditions started by Cynfanor appeal to her. While has a shrine at Bedynn and does irregularly visit the village with her avatar, Seryn has delegated the running of Bedynn to one of her old friends from Avawyr.
A young girl of ten and four cycles, Aeryn has travelled from her old home in Avawyr to serve her newly ascended friend.
What is of particular interest to you is how Seryn has blessed Aeryn. Having witnessed how Caradawg had been imbued with Cynfanor's power, your daughter had attempted to so the same with Aeryn and has proven successful.
Different to what you or Evatine had done in the past with your mortal followers, Aeryn has been permanently blessed with the power Seryn, acting as a vessel for some of Seryn's power. Like some sort of pseudo-avatar with independent thought and action.
Beyond having a cut back version of Seryn's spirit abilities that is limited by what energy that Seryn provides her with, Aeryn has taken some physical changes like Seryn has, making her more alike the spirit that she serves.
While she still retains her brown hair and eyes, Aeryn's body has been influenced by Seryn's stronger aspects. A strong muscular body, but intertwined with great beauty including cat ears and eyes, but no fangs or tail.
You pity the Aeryn somewhat as the Chosen of Seryn is rather embarrassed by her changes, especially the full set of curves that are the opposite of what she possessed before.
Still, Aeryn is doing good and adjusting quickly to her new station along with its responsibilities and perks. Seryn had chosen wisely when she picked Aeryn.
You consider doing that for one of your own followers, but none particularly stick out as being worthy of such an honour. The only one who would have done so is Bronwyn and your wife is now a fellow spirit.
Life goes on and this cycle has given you plenty to think about as the Cold Season comes once again.
