We're a rwby protagonist, not a Fairy Tale protagonist!Isn't whatever Guild you pick the protagonist Guild by default?![]()
Beauty and the Beast would like a word.
Uh, are artifices really blue or are you assuming so based on it being the tech color?
At any rate, getting even a basic understanding would be useful, so I advocate we take the test regardless of guild choice.
I don't think Blake is going to get bonds with more than her close friends even if she joins a bigger guild.
I'd argue that specialized guilds with enriched history are more likely to have power and resources to tap on. AE is still new, would take time to grow, and we'd have to involve ourselves with helping that out. More tasks I don't feel we need to add to ourselves.PLOT and power tend to go hand in hand, and we're likely to only be able to bring a couple elites anyway, either due to limitations of summoning or just because the more people we tell, the more risk we're at. And this group is the only one with a trustworthy teacher for our primary focus.
Secrecy on what, though? I don't see much we'd need to hide besides planeswalking and maybe the black voice (depending on what we learn). Even planeswalking can be just explained as being from a far place, something we'd have to deal with anyway. But we can't become close-knit friends with the entire guild. Being able to have a solid read on every other member is invaluable when it comes to secrecy.
Talking among themselves, passing papers to each other, and (mostly) ignoring you.I'm just curious, what were the other three people doing during this entire conversation with Valter and Giuseppe?
Agreed, I'll also add that the other plane we have access to is Nanoha, which we know IC that it has-Sylph Symphony has the most immediately obvious benefit in and of itself in terms of Artificing, as we've already seen multiple artifacts having Color affinities.
But the more I think about Liquid Horizon the more I think it might be the real long term winner for Blake.
Not because of their specific magics, but because they are magic archaeologists. Blake desperately needs that skill and insight if she's going to survive Planeswalking to dead planes where there might be real ancient treasures and wonders.
So basically I guess this boils down to: do we want a kingdom-building playthrough or a roguelike adventure?
-but it also has tech. SS has the potential benefit of giving us the know-how to work with tech across both planes, potentially even getting experts to work with us on exotic tech, but LH can also teach us how to explore both our magic and ruins, and will likely also be interested in potential stuff from Nanoha, if for the magic and history than raw tech.
Liquid Horizon has some ludicrously powerful Wizards, and their knowledge-for-knowledge policy makes them much less attached to their secrets than you'd often expect.
-so I don't think we need to be concerned that we're only 1/4 Blue. In fact, if blue does help (it probably does) the fact that we do have some affinity for it would in fact be a point towards jointing SS.Artifice [Rank 0]: You have a very vague idea of the very basics of constructing magical items, and a few examples to work from if you dedicate enough time toward thinking about recurring trends. You'll need far more practice and knowledge before you can actually build anything.
Wrong voting type. If you only care about Angel's Eye and are equally attached to the other three, then you could do this:

Depending on the interpretation, your delicious tears could belong to any one of the five colors!...Curse you Alivaril, giving us all these hard choices to make![]()
[X][1] First Choice
[X][2] Second Choice
[X][3] Third Choice
[X][4] Fourth Choice
Since when is this?@Alivaril, be advised that the proper syntax for preferential voting is:
Not including the x beforehand means the tally program won't recognize it, and you'll need to count everything by hand. (tbf, you might be used to doing that anyway.)
. . . I really wish you'd told me that half an hour ago lol. At least it's good to know going forward, I suppose.@Alivaril, be advised that the proper syntax for preferential voting is:
