I did make sure to put a Study Bugs option in my plan this turn yeah, that said we're probably only going to get half the info, because I only assigned 2 Fourth Gens to it, and it had bracketed Easy and Hard Research Goals.

Eh its okay, the easy stuff probably has the "How to talk" in it. And/or it may make it easier for the harder bits? Who knows.

Anyone have ideas for Old One relics so far I have an idea for their one.

The Forge of Creation (name pending): a forge of incredible power that was used by the old ones to forge powerful weapons and artifacts. By channeling warp through a crystal of unknown material it can empower metals of the Materium beyond the limited nature.

Tablet of Walls and Channels: A currently mostly unreadable Old One relic similar in nature to the Tablet of Sotek, the Tablet of Walls and Channels describes itself as a means of Warp Fortification. The exact meaning of this is not clear along with the method through which it achieves this "fortification".

This would be a tablet describing how to build fortifications out of Warpstuff. Because yes, I want to Colonize Hell and create Super Reality Breaking Fortifications in it.

That would likely be less colonizing it and more creating a material in the real space from it akin to Warpstone or Wraithbone.

There are a number of them in the army books, the Lustria campaign book, the End Times Thanquol book...

Given it's the Old Ones of all people there are few limits. I trust Xantalos in this matter.

I mean literally forging Warp stuff in the Warp into objects and buildings we can use in the Warp so we can colonize it. No creating stuff in real space intended.

Just personal opinion but I think Colonizing Hell is a horrible idea.
Tis is fine, its me fantasizing about funny Dwarf Fortress memes which might be applicable.

Though that actually does bring a question to mind. Is there any particular problem you'd have with making real space fortifications on our planets which also extend into and are manned in the Warp so that we have extra-dimensional defenses? Since I consider that somewhat different from outright Colonizing Hell.

Dwarves do it all the time in DF, they even manage to beat hell several times...heck there's one story of how they turned their spot of Hell into a Spa-resort or something similar, grass, trees, crops, and water all Algor! including special surface plants and actual sunlight!!!

....If that's possible maybe? I mean assuming we shut all the Warp Storms/Rifts in the galaxy then the Chaos Gods are basically incapable of affecting the Material Plane entirely beyond whispering in mortal ears, so I'd be worried about them just throwing their basically infinite legions of demons at our Warp Defenses until we died.

I don't really have these books as I don't have the money to spend on them and I'm not much of a lore junkie.

Swordthunders managed to completely seal hell off and grow strawberries, but by then the parent civilization was DEAD because of how many bodies had been thrown at it...and then later during a reclaim they wound up flooding the place with Magma. Typical.

There are, unfortunatly several issues with that. The largest being the amount of time it takes us dominate our planet, achieve space travel, and expand enough to actually enounter The Eldar in time before Slannesh is born.

But there are other issues. Some of the biggest being that: The Lizardmen are highly likely to be seriously pissed that The Eldar are THE Strongest Empire in the Galaxy....but are busy fucking, doing drugs, and murdering each other in the streets to actually protect and govern the galaxy as The Old Ones would have wished, and that The Old Ones are as far as they know, Dead, and the Eldar have let their Mutual Creators Killers continue to survive instead of hunting down and exterminating every last Tomb World in Existence.

Not to mention they only did the bare minimum to suppres the orks instead of trying to exterminate THEM either.

Like....if the Eldar NEEDED to stop the War Against Heaven to get their numbers up and prepare for a future offensive, that would be one thing, but they've litterally done fuck all since the end of the war, and are content to descend into the darkest depths of Hedonism instead of crushing their enemies before they full awaken.

Mazdamundi is gunna PISSED once he learns about everything.

And THEN they might very well be solely responsible for fucking Slannesh into existence.

So Yeah. NOT A HAPPY SLANN.

I do believe that his reaction would be something along the lines of this;

But more toad-like in appearance, obviously.

Or like this:

More toad of course.

:V

Exactly, now if the craftworlders stay away from us and let us do our damn job of fixing this damn place up it would be nice, but as it is the eldar empire are pretty much druuchi at this point.

The maiden worlders or exodites as we call them can be left alone or allied with, as long as they don't start doing stuipid shit.

Again. The Craftworlds are not a real thing at this point in time. The craftworlds as we know them don't exist. Those that would *eventually* become them are long term trading vessels whom only have sporadic contact with the Eldar Empire proper. Which is what allowed them to notice the descent of the Eldar Empire into self-destructive hedonism. And they are too few in numbers to avert the fall. A significant number are actually destroyed when the Fall occurs as they were too close to the Eldar worlds (this was when the trading ships were going around trying to save whom still remained sane they can on the Eldar Empire worlds).

The Exodites whole schtick is 'you leave us alone and we leave you alone'. They are Eldar whom went Fuck No to the decadence of the Eldar Empire, and realizing that the biggest cause of the decadence and decline was the way the Eldar are (very acute emotions, feelings, etc) they found a way to not fall into the trap by essentially for the most part abandoning technology that make life easier and living day to day instead of giving themselves true leisure. So pretty much what we have to do is just plop down a geo web on the maiden worlds for anti-Chaos and empowering the Slann and let the exodites go about their lives.

Hell, maiden worlds populated by the Exodites might make prime candidates for web construction due to being psychically active and (eventually) hosting world spirits formed of the exodites souls.

Stop: Why can't I hold all this edge?
If we exterminate them to the last they can't be a problem, assuming they aren't just Tyranid Scout Forms, and I'll say it again. Fuck Off with your Soap Boxing. If you don't like the fact that we ARE going to purge these things then you can either deal with it or leave. Your Choice.
why can't i hold all this edge? This is not civil. You do not control who posts in this thread, and need to make your arguments without attacking other posters. @Nix's Warden has received a 25 point infraction and one week threadban for violation of Rule Three: Be Civil.

Had a question occur to me, but how will we modify our dinosaurs to be useful in space? Or will we use specially made fighters crewed by Saurus?

Who knows?

Perhaps Old One biotech can produce something like that, but even the Orks and Eldar use more inanimate than biological vehicles in the void.
Yeah, probably. Kinda makes me sad, since I had this idea for a Winged Space Dread Saurian, but shooting them at ships we don't like in a boarding torpedo is also fine.

This is where the Jungle Swarms finally make their triumphant return to the world. We just shoot a torpedo filled with endless snakes, perhaps powered by an Ark of Sotek, and then wait for the snakes to kill everybody on-board! Then, once the snakes have taken over the ship, we send in another torpedo, this time filled with Snake-eating birds of Prey, which will in turn eat all the remaining Jungle Swarms. Once they've finally wiped out the remaining Lizards, we then send in another torpedo tube, but this time filled with Bird-hunting giant Gorillas, to cull those numbers down to a more manageable number. Thus, when we finally board the ship, we can simply turn off the ships central heating, thus freezing all the apes to death.

Sounds like wonderful overkill, I love it.

One question tho, wouldn't the cold kill the birds and make birb-sicles for snacking? :V
