It is not in precisely in the same way that you or I relate to Death, but that does not mean that Death means little to them. To us, Death is the cessation of the individual. The loss of connection, the terrible dark unknown into which we go alone and lonely. So we build stories of afterlives in which our loved ones also come, where the things we did in life have meaning and give reward even if they did not when our hearts beat, where pains cease and the safety is assured. We fill our afterlives with the things we perpetually lack in life.

Ahhhh, all of that response to a necesity in our psyque, a sort of intistic fear for death and all that entails, that part is what feed the warp because more than a real of feeling or imagination, the warp is a realm of deep instinting, the colective id of the material space)in fact there was a passing motion that the cold mind of the old ones allow them to use the warp with little pasing), necromancy as whole work exactly because of this mentality(as we need to remember than magic depend of a mental state) of fear or death and reversing it, some race have deeper than other: the eldar are living in near total extintion sociaty and it show in everything they do, no surprising they are creating a god of death, while the ork barely get the concept, to the point they are not afected by the nightbringer curse.

Which it bring me to.....

Death is different for the Lizardmen. It is still the cessation of the individual. But it is also, sometimes, the necessary price paid for a higher purpose. A purpose which no Lizardmen ever doubts or questions. They have no need for surety or reward. No expectation or want of safety. Perhaps they love others as we do, or perhaps not, that is still too much up in the air at this point to say; for certain they at least value and form connections with things like mounts that last until death. So what stories are the Lizardmen likely to build their afterlives from? Purposes fulfilled. A chance at rebirth. New avenues of duty. Prices paid. Guardianship. Horizons uncharted. Depths unexplored.

This is the thing: do they really care or thing about it?.

I guess is the core of the whole arguement, death happing is a thing, death being acknowledge as a thing is another, as whole I dont see the lizardman being terrible concern with them to matter something in their worldview, they are strong, nearly unkillable and biological inmortal, with imprinting in their head meaning they have a mission in life that is beyond them, I dont know if those narrative can be ensure or something with barely any streess, angst or worry about death.

now I wonder, it is posible to conect the godseed to the geomantic web?.

@Xantalos
If we complete both Secrets of the Fungus and The WAAAGH! Field, will we find clues as to why the Orks on Mallus are so different from those of 40k, even though they are supposed to be the same species?

*snorts*

by then in the 41st millenia our Slann will have found a way to resleeve themselves...and frankly im insulted there wasn't geomantic rituals being fired off all the time, smooth out the terrain so it is completely flat...(as in SMASH AND LIFTED FLAT) resulting in all fortifications being either crushed or raised back to neutral level. Of course turn it into obsidian rock as well!

this will result in the battlefield becoming a neutral zone where only fang and claw and steel and armor will win the day.

of course we could always turn the continent into a sea of magma. See how long they can survive in molten rock, with a second ritual to throw a ocean at them :D.
Permanantly killing a Slann is a tall order-there are certain members of the Assassins who could maybe do it, and the Grey Knights probably can pull off something close, but for most Space Marines and all the Guardsmen, sending it packing is the best that can be hoped for-Even Commissar Cain, HERO OF THE IMPERIUM, only force the vile toad-man to run away. (Though Cain claims that it was Jurgen's BO and Blank status that scared the Slann off in his private memoirs.) Omegon (or maybe Alpharius) managed it, using special sorcery-empowered weapons constructed by Magnus the Red, but that's two (or three?) Primarchs working together to kill a single Slann. The act of getting resleeved is still one that is only taken by the slann who has lost a fight, and pretty baddly if none of their normal escape options or their bodyguards were able to stop it.

Oh, and of course:

also by then im expecting us to be totting some ridiculously power weaponry and magi-tech to make the imperium think twice on attacking us....and if they do so anyway? Astronomic web...shame if a sun suddenly sent a solar ejection in that particular fleets direction...or if a sun suddenly went super-nova as a fleet entered the system and the remnants were attacked by a sudden and overwhelming powerful force that not only boarded them, but grabbed all peoples of importance and then teleported them into stone cells to be interrogated for their information.

I also predict us hitting forge-worlds to cut off industrial capacity from entire sectors using astronomic rituals to hit the planets hard enough to crack them into pieces until the imperium sign's a accord with us.

Yeah, uh, I don't think it's going to go that far. Sun-bursting might be possible but it's a weapon of final sanction, and it might only be possible within the thin and very limited Astronomic Web. Without Temple Worlds near a target to provide a gateway to manipulate stellar energies, it gets harder. Don't get me wrong, there's stronk lizards out there, but outside their Temple Worlds, they actually have to, ya know, fight people, instead of tele-sniping them from the other side of the galaxy. Don't get me wrong-I portrayed the Lizardmen as having both Saurus and Cold Ones in full power armor, with jump jets for the beasts, and ranged weapons for them as well, because dinosaurs with lasers are even better than sharks with lasers. I'm just a little less optomistic that our numbers will be that awesome and unstoppable, sweeping all before us, and forcing a notoriously xenophobic and trecharous empire to sign a treaty worth less than the human-skin parchment it is written on. The imperium of man provided that parchment, btw, it was a byproduct of Corpse Starch ration production.

What can we do to contact the guys that went off to see the universe? Can we get updates from them ? Maybe information or technology they found on their travels.

The interlude you guys got can be considered IC information. Interaction with them as far as them giving you little missions to help them accomplish and stuff will have to wait until we get off Mochantia.

Mass pings like this tend to annoy people. I would recommend not doing this in the future. Also, your very insistent and strident arguing in this vote has pushed the line a good bit. Take it back a notch before it reaches rulebreaking levels. Which are very close to what you were doing.
Really? Harassing people over their votes, lying about my plan, and now mass pinging my voters to switch? What's your next trick going to be, making sockpuppets?
You mass pinged people yourself here, just 4 pages earlier. And the rest of this post is making serious accusations that are not very in keeping with Rule 3. You've been infracted on this before, several times. But the last one was a while ago, so it merits only a Staff Notice-
@EVA-Saiyajin has lied about my plan, harrassed people who vote for my plan, mass pinged my voters to try to split the vote, and constantly sniped about how my plan will doom us all forever, but one post going the other way is being a dick? Nice.
-until you doubled down and went right into sniping. 25 points and 5 days threadban.

How do you get that red border? It looks pretty nifty.

Person who posted it is a Moderator.
A Yellow post means to pay attention. Red posts mean someone broke the rules and/or that the thread in question may get locked, depending explicitly on the content of the Red Post.
Check out the stuff under the Rules heading for the details on that.
So anyone else want the emperor and primarchs reactions to the slann over on ifewtts extra
ifewtts?
But yes, I think we're all hyped to see the inevitable wtf humanity will have if we can finish cleaning house and develop into a proper space-faring society before the whole cosmic-un-abortion that was/will be Slaanesh's birth.

Not really. Those who would in my experience would just want to see how awesome we are, a reactionary post. And those are boring and just self-wanking.

I understand. I will try and be better.

I dunno.

TTS!Emperor would probably be all like:

"Plus ten points for being ceaselessly devoted to the obliteration of Choas, minus several thousand for being a bunch of fucking automata puppeted around by a bunch of absentee space grandpas who are probably dead."

Then TTS!Magnus would be all like:

"Oh, you mean just like your loyalist Astartes!?"

Then TTS!Emperor would be all like:

"Shut up, you."

...

Also Lord Kroak and the Emperor would secretly be playing poker on the astral plane or something.
