I personally more interested in Interaction with Emperor. Maybe we will get our hands on one of Primarch? I love to get our hands on Magnus or Curze.
True that would be interesting, although I am not sure what IC justification there would be to allow that to happen. But personally I want to focus on the Fall of the Eldar and the Birth of Slaanesh since any damage we can do to that chain of events would be rather useful.

Oh yeah, screw you chaos.:D

Well I just caught up with this and wanted to say Deliverance was amazing to read.

[X] Mazdamundi - The lord of Hexoatl, and the oldest of the second generation of slaan. Mazdamundi is the most active of his kin, and is incredibly skilled at manipulating the geomantic web to use in geomancy, and boasts a well-rounded mastery of every aspect of magic, as could be expected from the personal student of Lord Kroak. He commands the loyalty of the ancient saurus Kroq-Gar, and will take the oldblood with him if he does not remain.
You know if we are pre-Slaanesh Birth then that means we could potentially save one of the Eldar gods from being eaten or at the very least we can try to make it so Khaine deals a bit more damage during the fight.
That would be nice but I feel like it might already be on the clock. On the other hand if we can help humans before the age of strife? and stick with them maybe the Emperor won't be so distrustful of all xeno's. Cause it how that started, all the supposed allies just ran or took advantage. Course IC is a bit hard to sell....

[X] Kroak - The spirit of the firstborn slaan was rejuvenated by the Deliverance - not enough to personally act on the scale of the other senior slaan, but his true strength lies in his knowledge. He retains a wealth of knowledge of the lost might the lizardmen possessed once, and will be able to restore this knowledge now that he is capable of communication once more. He is still bound to his corpse, however, and thus he relies much on his Oracle Ten-zlati, who wields potent powers through his mystical connection to the ancient slaan, as well as acting as Kroak's eyes and ears when need be. If a way to revive dead slaan is ever found, it is no doubt Kroak will be the first brought back, for his resurgent might would be a great boon to the lizardmen indeed.
[X] Huintenuchli - Once lord of Chaqua, Huintenuchli was left without purpose when the skaven destroyed the city. On the rare occasions when he rose from his slumber, his thoughts were occupied by musings of technology and mechanical research, which is his passion. His magical speciality lends itself well to this line of thought, for he is talented in the construction of magitek devices, enhancing armor and weapons to be more effective, and destroying the devices of his enemies - breaking walls, crushing soldiers in their armor, and causing machines to behave however he wishes. On one occasion he was beset in his sleep by a Norscan Chaos Lord, and was saved by the intervention of the mythical kroxigor Nakai, who he has formed an affinity with in the time since.

[X] Adohi-Tegha - The lord of Tlaxtlan, Adohi-Tegha is one of the best slaan at reading and interpreting the web of fate, and possesses a potent affinity at wielding magic related to manipulating the physical world - telekinesis, weather control, conjuring bolts of energy and teleportation are but examples of areas he holds a speciality in. In his service is the powerful skink priest Tiktaq'to, who will accompany his master wherever his path takes him.
    [x] Mazdamundi
[X] Zaqunda - Steward of Itza, Zaqunda is one of the primary reasons Itza's walls were never breached in all the years since the Great Catastrophe. Spending much of his time amongst the Relic Priests has attuned his essence to theirs, and he is more easily able to elicit their aid, and perhaps even consider a way to restore their bodies. He was chosen to be the first city's steward for a reason - he is unparalleled in defensive magic of all kinds, capable of shielding against physical and psychic attacks on a large and small scale. The great albino saurus Gor-Rok is sworn to him, and will obey any command he gives.

I think the best way to affect positive change is to somehow get the Eldar to be less assholish in their schemes, I mean how many problems could have been avoided if the Eldar just sent a message going "So hey there is bad stuff here and it's coming your way, want to help us blow it up?"

Maybe we can use Emperor Creation ritual to restore Boss Toad? I mean most of the First Generations are spirits clinging to their skeleton. They should throw away their individuality to reincarnate Boss Toad.

So looking at things I think we can all agree that the Lizardmen will pretty much never be a high-tech faction, we just don't have the technological base to do much. However I also think we can agree that while we aren't a high-tech faction, we are most certainly a top tier magic faction with an entire armory of magical bullshit.

As such when we are going about upgrading our forces we are almost certainly going to do it from a magical direction, like giving our Sauros Warriors amulets that resist enemy ranged attacks or enchanting their weapons to be a lot more effective.

I just love this "I was dead then I decided that I am not and reality obeyed" toad.

Yes and no. We will certainly be capable of Magic-heavy research and development thanks to the the Slann, but we have a trove of magitech to expand upon from the Old Ones.

I wonder how our Saurus compare to the average space marine because while our lizards are pretty high quality in fantasy I don't know if that holds up in 40k.

Well, while you won't operate purely off of technology like Tau and humans tend to do, since your inborn attributes of your various breeds are too potent an advantage to discard, you will have a heavy use of magitech once you get rolling and become a proper space empire. A big thing that held the lizardmen back in WHFB was that they'd forgotten how to use/build all the magitek Old Ones bullshit they originally had, and eventually became reduced to mostly cavemen levels of tech, aside from some outliers. Getting that magitek back will greatly increase your efficacy as a faction, so that you don't have to charge naked Saurus straight into gunfire or other such things.

But yeah, you're not a tech-focused faction as such.

On the plus side we have the pure refined magical bullshit that is the Slaan who if I had to guess would be considered Alpha level Psykers by most factions, with the Second gen and up being Alpha Plus level.

In terms of slaan gimmicks/specialities/their unique stuffs:
Mazdamundi's encourages and rewards infrastructure-heavy play because the geomantic web basically gets stronger the more territory you have and the more developed that territory is, encouraging both tall and wide building basically. He benefits off of that a bunch.

Chaacalot is basically your intrigue guy - his magic speciality is illusions and mind control, his mist unique thing is something he can eventually cast to do bullshit like hide whole fleets of ships he's in from detection or possibly whole planets later on in the game once you have the Web up to a level that can support something like that.

Adohi-Tegha (who I'd have named Talezkop if he didn't have a canon name) is basically your DPS slaan. He does 'I throw asteroids' level telekinesis on the regular (once you get to space at least), summons firestorms, zaps everything with lightning, caster-type shit. He can also pull a pseudo-Eldar by looking into the future or looking through the warp for specific shit, which is useful if you can figure out the missing context.

Zaqunda is the tank. He can block shit like nobody's business, eventually get to rezzing relic priests a lot earlier than the others, and also do some other stuff relating to ressurection and healing and shielding and shit. You get the idea.

Huintenuchli is basically a steady boost to tech growth through the whole game, good at inventing new shit to deal with unexpected situations, and can do cool technomancy shit like take control of enemy guns so they stop working and only shoot when pointed at their own side.

Kroak is a bit lopsided in comparison - he's a boost to early game and late game, with a bit of a lack in the middle, since he remembers a bunch of Old Ones shit that gives you a boost in the beginning tech and faction-wise, but nothing much for the middle game. Late game is when you're able to ressurect him, which has obvious benefits, and he'd also be the one to consult when trying to make new slaan (which is possible for everyone, he just makes it slightly easier).

Hopefully that clears up stuff for anyone who was confused. I sleep now.

Well by the time 40k hits we will probably be quite technologically sophisticated....

My one true hope is that we can claim the black stone fortresses.

He seems to be a much greater force multiplier than the others, since the lizardmen's lack of innovation and technology is one of their larger weaknesses, and if we want to be able to meaningfully act on the scale of 40k we are going to need to grow and advance significantly, and develop proper spaceships. Also, I just love magitech.

This sounds fun. Kroak also sounds fun, so I don't really mind who wins.

Prefer Lord Kroak.

Also, I'd think Kroak's knowledge may help with screwing with forming warp entities. Like say, Slaanesh pre-birth and either delay it to buy time to murder the Dark Muses or other stuff.
