I love the fact the LM are going the way of "any significantly advanced magic is indistinguishable from technology!" Shtick going on. Reminds me of the Draenai, with space ships made of magic. I can't wait till we hit that point, btw, starships made void capable via Magics.

That's how most Craftworld Eldar tech works, when you get down to it. It's soul or warp powered magitech.

Ya know, our assault rifles are pretty much a much a magical version of ME guns. Both take blocks of material shave a sliver off and then proceeds to fire it at incredible speeds.

@Xantalos
Is it possible to know how many research actions is VEIST going to unlock?
Unfortunately I quite literally can't say for certain until I actually write the action up - my thought processes often make intuitive connections when I'm in that zone that I wouldn't have beforehand. At minimum it'll allow your gear to manifest active magical effects in a widespread and sustained way - lighting swords on fire, further your research towards magic laser guns, etc.

Keep in mind that for most purposes real life velocities are *plenty* functional. Bolters are dangerous not because of their muzzle velocity, but because of their size and explosive payload.

I mean, at a certain point kinetic weapons just become plasma casters. Because there is a limit of just how fast a physical object can go in atmosphere, before it changes states. This is not the case in a vacuum. That can scale pretty bloody high. I wonder if the Orks will gestate more weirdboys to deal with the stupid we threw at them or if they will just continue as is?

If either boss does well enough this turn, they're likely to level up and gain a subordinate. I roll a d5 to see what type of underling they are - mek, kommando, warphead, runtherd/dok, or underboss. So there's a chance, but it's slim.

I can't remember if this is being done or not, but are Lizardmen creating new tablets with each successful research we are doing. I mean I don't expect every research gets a tablet, like spells, but I guess our new artillery cannons and sacred sites got written down.

We do not yet know how to manufacture our own golden tablets, last I knew.

That would require studying the tablets more in depth. As I recall, the tablets are still able to hide knowledge from us.

I mean.

We're not creating Old One-tier artifact golden tablets, sure.

But I imagine we're archiving information about our discoveries somewhere, and knowing the lizardmen, gold tablets in the more literal sense of "this is a largely mundane tablet, made of gold" seem likely.

I can't wait for the moment when we discover space flight which I hope is the Slann turning on the temple cities flight functions. Mostly because I want the slann to have a moment where they go "WTF, these things could fly! How could we forget they could fly!"

I kind of want us to start a mini-empire once we figure out space flight.

After all, we'll need to build up so that we don't just get wiped out by Emps when the Crusade shows up. . .
