Sacred sites is undoubtedly delightful. But have you misinterpreted what he said? It's not automatically incorporated into new cities.
Ah not districts, welp so much for that, still something to grab and setup on at least our key cities. Hmm I do hope we unlock more district ideas as getting those early as we are still building cities will save us a lot of actions down the line.

Sacred Sites are basically those random points of interest that are all over official lizardmen maps of lustria and such. They're not actually within the cities, but they're also not really ever too far from the city they protect.

Okay, so with that cleared up, and since we've been talking plans already, how does this look for Turn 5?

[] Plan Manifest Destiny
-Found New City/Improve City/Sniff Them Out: 2 Itza Actions, 2 Xlanhuapec Actions, 2 Tlaxtlan Actions, Chakax, Tiqtak'to.
-Purge The Parasite Hexoatl/Xlanhuapec: 2 Hexoatl Actions, Kroq-Gar, small group of Slann, XXX amount of Lizardmen and dinos.
-Remove The Mind Fog-Almost All The Slann
-Perform Geomatic Ritual-Remove The Mind Fog: Mazdamundi
-Examine Tablets of The Old Ones, Forging Districts: Teninhuan, Awanabil'tat, smallish group of Slann.

Now this is a rough draft, and libel to change if any shenanigans happen, or the local bugs surge in numbers, or we get FUCKED in Slann Numbers, or whatever.

But as an IDEA how's it look?

Xantalos did say behind the regular Forging Districts there is a Forging Districts for Magical Stuff so that can be done next.

But aren't those...oooh, that's clever. A lot of those things have applications that aren't explicitly meant for defense of cities, but if utilized could definitely fit the role. Like those vision pools for divination, or the Emerald Pools that provide rejuvenation, the fire tower... Fluff effects easily incorporated into a blanket city defense boost.

Weren't you interested in putting most of the Slann on this, or did I misread something at some point.
Yeah kinda.
-Remove The Mind Fog-Almost All The Slann
-Perform Geomatic Ritual Remove The Mind Fog: Mazdamundi
Besides Forging Districts and maybe some help Purging Bugs, everything goes on removing the Mind Fog one way, while the Geomantic Ritual is done by Mazdamundi to attack it in Round 2.

As an idea...pretty solid actually. I assume you want to improve the new city instead of our last unimproved one because the latter we know how many bugs are around and it's at least already constructed, while the latter is going into new territory and being built from the ground up? So if we get a major hostile reaction, we have the defenses in place to help see it off?

Beyond that...there's absolutely nothing wrong with Forging Districts.

I would put 2 5th gen Slann on sniffing them out for the new city as that seemed to work well last time in addition to the heroes assigned to it but otherwise as a concept it looks solid.

Pretty much, and if shit goes down Turn 5, Xlanhuapec is still surrounded by our other three starting cities, including Kroq-Gar and a large amount of active lizardmen/dinosaurs.

@Xantalos

Out of curiosity, given what city actions are, do they have any use in research?
Only on a very few projects that I'll generally label to make it clear. Stuff like figuring out certain gear designs and such, stuff that doesn't need slann magical expertise to complete. Some projects, like starships once you get to that point, can be helped with a certain amount of standard actions but need slann assignment to be completed.

Lizardmen in space...truly an utterly magnificent image.

Especially with Mazdamundi our leader.

Hey, does that and his schtick account for non-sapient psychic creatures? I think the Ayacmanik's thing is a bit far out there unless something can be reverse engineered from the phenomenon of the Sublime Communion, but like, animals.
Oh, forgot to answer this. There are a few things you can do with the Ayacmanik's abilities, but they'll have to wait until later when a few conditions have been fulfilled.

Mmm, would getting/researching Forging Districts up in the same turn a new city goes up get it automatically applied, or does the new city need to have it applied manually?

Well that's good to know. That frees Awanabil'tat a turn early. He can help build Cities once we get to Turn 9.

*has a sudden thought*

Hey @Xantalos, could Awannabil'tat help with building space craft once we get to that point?

Production facilities? Forges?

Bah, what they really need to do is crack the system of the spawning pools so that the principals can be used for inanimate creation. Magical 3D printers hooked up to the Geomantic Web so that each new Saurus is equipped with top-tier gear the minute he drys off from emergence.

I believe our best gear is obstinite right now, which has some sort of magical property to it. *Shrugs* I guess we'll find out if that'll be an option down the line.
... >_>

How long has this been the name?
Welcome to lizardmen names.
Itzi-Bitzi

I wonder if theres a skink named spie-dehr or whatever floating around....:p
