There's an empty "left" alignment tag between the third option and "choose wisely". Not sure if that means something or I'm just shadowrunning. Probably just shadowrunning, but I blame you quest authors and your sneaky invisitext for my paranoia

Mystery box? Mystery box. More to the point, if these are all necessary for Homura's golden ending, then it just makes sense to pick the one we know the least about and is deliberately worded to be as vague as possible.

"I'm not sure how much they told you, so this might be review, but I want to make sure you're informed, alright?"
She shrugs, "Alright. Why not? Go ahead."
"Your Soul Gem will be filled with Grief as you expend magic, and when you enter extreme negative emotional states. As it grows closer to capacity, it will begin eating at your sanity, and you will die if it fills completely. Does that sound familiar?"
Ruki nods, "That's basically what Rose said too, but she just said it would be "really, really bad." I guess she though I couldn't handle the idea of dying, but...I mean, come on, I stick my head in turbines regularly. Dying's not exactly a foreign idea."
You nod, relieved to hear that they hadn't explained Witching Out to her--it would be bad, if you got caught pulling an Incubator, "Some girls despair when they find out the truth--that, as you can imagine, makes them build up Grief very quickly. I'm sure she was just watching out for you."
"I'm sure you're right. Rose doesn't seem like the type to keep secrets for no reason. So, is that it, Senpai?"
"Grief Seeds."
"Kill Witches, get Seeds, cleanse Gem. Rinse and repeat."
You nod, "Kyubey?"
"Rose didn't say too much about him. Something about him being a "big jerk" and a liar."
You nod at that, "Kyubey is dangerous. He cannot speak untruths, but he can and will attempt to deceive and manipulate you. He benefits from Magical Girls being created, but he does not have our interests at heart in the long term." You hesitate, "Kyubey has a quota to meet, and it requires our despair. Do not trust him."
She frowns, "...You're doing it too, aren't you, Senpai?"
You glance away, then give a slight nod.
She stares at you for a moment, but eventually nods, eyes closing for a moment, "Alright. I'll trust you, but please try to trust me too. I'm not fragile."
You stare at her for a moment, tempted to pat her head again, but decide that would be a bit much. Instead, you let your silence speak for a moment.
Her blush answers your silence cleanly, "A-alright, Senpai. Umm…so, do you need me to do something right now, or can I get back to the repairs? Poor Yamato still needs a lot of help."
You glance around at the rusted walls and mechanisms, and nod in agreement, "Yes, she still does…how about this? I'll help out for a little while, and we can talk while we work."
She frowns, "No offense, Senpai, but I'm kind of an expert on old ships and how to take care of them. I know you're a very experienced Magical Girl, but…"
You smile, carefully pushing down the urge to take that as a challenge, "Oh, don't you worry about--"
You glance at the turbines, and realize, with rising dread, that you actually don't know how to repair them. You can, in the back of your mind, feel a dozen ways to replace them or modify them to make them work. Those ideas do seem a bit distant, admittedly, but you know that the means to actually restore these components to anything like their original state is absent.
"--that. Ah, actually…maybe it's best I don't try to do anything too complicated. I know machinery, but…not this type."
She smiles, and smugness radiates from her for a moment, "Oh? Guess you'll just have to watch then, huh Senpai?"
You do not grit your teeth in frustration, instead just nodding, "…I suppose so. I will refrain from enchanting the turbines while you are inside of them."
The smugness vanishes behind sudden paleness; you do your best not to preen.
"G-gotcha, Senpai. Umm…" She mutters something faintly under her breath. Moments later, her eyes brighten, "Alright, that'll work. I'm gonna try to fix this turbine up--if you don't mind getting some extra tools from next door, I can walk you through some basic repairs. That way you can help more later, if you want."
You're fine with that--you mostly just want to get to know her better, and working on Yamato with her should help break the ice.
"I will be back in a moment, then."
You walk off, heading to the adjacent engine room--you a sizeable set up in the corner, with some basic machining equipment and some spare tools set out.
There is also a strange, grey box, with a black square on the lid. It almost reminds you of a television set.
There's a note on top of it:
Fieldset:
Happy Halloween! You should look into this--it will help you save everyone.
-Maria
Glancing around, and finding no one visibly present, you sigh, and speak up, in case she's listening from somewhere, "It isn't Halloween, Maria. It's March. It has been three days since last time."
You have no reason to distrust it, though--Maria sent you here, after all, so you gently remove the lid.
'Azumi? The same one…?'
Shaking your head, you tuck the box, note, and candies into your shield and collect the tools from the table, heading back to Ruki.
"I found them. So, shall we get to work?"
She smiles slightly, "Yeah, follow me."
She climbs inside the turbine, and you follow in after her.
"Alright, so, you see this section here? We'd normally need to replace this entirely, but…"
She summons her wrench, and presses it against the damaged section--a glowing hex-nut appears from nowhere, and she turns it, her wrench glowing more brightly, and the rusted steel shifts, regaining its gleam and straightening out.
".…I can repair the simple damage outright. It's a bit expensive, though, considering the size of the ship, so we'll be machining new components when possible. I've got the equipment down here already. Unfortunately, I don't have much in the way of materials--I have to either salvage broken pieces, or smuggle bits of scrap in after dark. It's not enough, but I can still make a lot of components, that way--with a help from my magic, at least."
"I see. So, did you learn how to do all of this as part of your Wish, or…?"
She shakes her head only slightly, out of consideration to the tight space, "No, my Wish didn't teach me anything at all, as far as I can tell. I learned everything I know from my Dad. He's a really amazing engineer, and he's been teaching me since I was just a little kid."
Your mind drifts to your Grandfather for a moment, "You should make sure to spend time with him, while you can. I'm sure that you'll regret it, if you don't."
She glances at you, looking a little puzzled, and you shake your head, "Just trust me on this one. They leave us far too quickly for us to waste time."
"...maybe I should tell him about Yamato. I just…kinda wanted to surprise him, and the Magical Girl thing is…"
You nod, "I understand, but…well, give it some thought. I'm sure he's worried about you, if you've been sleeping here."
She jerks, banging her head into the side, "Wait, how did you know that!?"
"Crew's quarters. You made your bed."
She sighs, "...of course you'd find that first. Look, I just want to get as much done as I can."
You nod, "Of course. Just, remember--the mission might be the most important thing, but you can't complete it if you break first."
"...well, I mean, that seems like a bit much. I really care about Yamato, but Dad's more important than any "mission.""
She pulls out of the turbine, and begins walking back towards the machining equipment. You follow.
"That's good to hear."
She begins searching the tools, then turns to look at you askance for a moment. She shakes her head, however, and moves on, moving a large, electronic lathe out into the center of the room.
She taps it with her wrench, and it turns on immediately, with only a faint glow, "This will work. We're going to need materials, though--hopefully, we have enough in the storeroom."
She leads halfway across the ship, to a large storeroom--the signage marks it as a provisions room, but you find maybe a dozen large boxes of scrap metal present instead.
"Alright, help me carry these."
"How many boxes, do you think?"
She hums for a moment, "…probably four, I'd say. Two trips, at minimum."
You walk over, and slip them into your shield.
"...Senpai, what did you do with my scrap?"
You smile slightly, "I stored it. Part of my Magic. Let's go back."
She hesitantly accepts that, and you return to the engine room, where you immediately release the boxes of scrap.
"HEEEEEEEE!"
You turn at the squealing sound, to find Ruki staring starry-eyed.
"You really did it! How much can you carry?! We could bring in so much metal this way!"
"There's no real upper limit, that I've seen so far."
She turns and looks at you, eyes wide, "No…upper…limit…?"
You shake your head, and she smiles broadly, "I'll do some research after this--I'm sure there's got to be somewhere we can get some materials from."
"There are. We can raid them later."
She blinks at that, "Raid…them…?"
You roll your eyes, waving your hand at the scrap, "Don't try to tell me you bought all of this?"
She shakes her head, "This kind of scrap is literal garbage, for most people--they'll actually pay you to get rid of it. I do it for free."
You tilt your head, never having considered such a method, "Oh."
"Do you literally just steal things when you need them, Senpai?"
You nod, "The Yakuza, mostly."
"...Senpai…" She looks pale, but you don't humor her any further.
"So, how do you process this?"
"Eh, I'll need to recast it--some into ingots and sheets, for machining, but some will be cast straight into components. I'll show you how--it's pretty simple."
You're familiar with the basics of such, but you suspect her definition of "simple" might be a bit off.
Still, as she begins setting up more equipment, you feel like you understand her a bit better, and you know you'll learn something from working with her.

The two of you work on the turbine for two hours. More accurately, Ruki works and you try to keep up. She seems to know exactly what she's doing, referencing blueprints and taking careful measurements as she works, using the various tools on hand with precision gained from long years of practice…but things keep going wrong, for some reason.
First it's a fresh blade which is slightly oversized, then it's a bearing that's too small. As minor mistakes continue to pile up, you can tell Ruki is growing increasingly frustrated--exasperated sighs are replaced by a blush, and that blush becomes a snarl of rage as she grasps her wrench in a death grip, orange eyes burning with fury.
It only gets worse every time she glances at you.
"I can do this! I promise you I can do this Senpai! I don't know why it just. Won't. Line. UP!"
The fourth blade she's had come out wrong snaps in half as she attempts to force it into place, and she lets out a veritable howl, "AAAAAARRRRRHHHHHHH! STOP IT!!! JUST STOP IT, RUKI!!!!"
You step up behind her and place a hand on her shoulder--if she's anything like you were, then that should help her calm down.
Your suspicion proves true, as the rage fades, the girl blushing brightly as she turns around to face you, eyes downcast, "I'm sorry, Senpai. I really wanted to show you, but I just…it just…"
You pat her head, "It's alright. I'm sure you were just nervous. Besides, I still learned a lot from watching you. You're clearly very experienced with this sort of thing."

With the work done, for now, you turn to other topics--first among them, the military girls. You need to determine what their agenda is here in Mitakihara, and whether or not they can be allies against Walpurgisnacht.
The two of you are resting--needless, really, but Ruki still lets herself feel pain and tiredness, from what you can see--when you broach the topic, "So, what can you tell me about this "Rose?""
Ruki lies on her bunk, her bright orange, chain-trimmed jacket set aside, leaving her in only a sleeveless black shirt. She glances over at your words, shrugging as she answers, "There's not too much to tell. She likes battleships, and is really enthusiastic once you get her to loosen up. She's older than us, based on her looks." She pauses, "Umm…actually, how old are you really, anyway?"
"Old enough. What about her group? Do they have a name?"
She sits up, focusing her attention again, "She wouldn't say--every time I asked about that, she would evade the question. At first, she just said she was from the military base. Then she said they were working with the military. I think they might be with a PMC."
"JSDF?"
She shakes her head, "I doubt it. She was American, I think, based on her accent."
That's a bit reassuring, you reflect--if they're part of the military, then red tape will be an issue, but you might have better luck with them if they're mercenaries.
"Can you introduce me?"
She hums thoughtfully, "…I should be able to, I think. Rose gave me "guest authorization," so I should at least be able to go in and ask them to let you in. Hopefully, they will."
"Good. I can introduce you to my friends, afterwards--I think they'll like you, and they can help you learn the ropes."
She straightens at that, smiling, "Really?!"
"Of course. Mami always enjoys helping new Magi, and Kyouko…" You pause, "…she's rough around the edges, but she's a very kind person, at the end of the day. Sayaka and Madoka aren't Magi, but I'm sure they'll be happy to make a new friend."
She hops to her feet, fist-pumping, "Alright then! Should we go right away, Senpai?" Her expression falters, "Or would you like to wait? I can meet your friends--and introduce you to Rose, of course--sometime later, if you want to hold off. I have Yamato, after all."
Staring at her deject expression, you find yourself wanting to introduce her to the others, whether you go to the Military Base or not, but…well, you do have other things to do. You could always come pick her up later.
