Renascence: A Homura Quest

Honorifics or Western-style Titles? I've used both before, which is bothersomely inconsistent

  • Japanese Honorifics (-san, -sama, -dono, -chan, -kun, -senpai, etcetera)

    Votes: 12 33.3%
  • Western Titles (Mister, Miss, job titles, Lord, Lady, etcetera)

    Votes: 0 0.0%
  • Use whichever works better for a given sentence.

Hmm. So in addition to the lack of emotions, there's something more concrete that makes them unable to Contract.....

Incubators do not have souls.

Hmm...I guess I'll try one.

The Incubator hivemind can be connected to something close enough to the proper anatomy needed to make a contract.

BB codes are done in RGB, where the first two numbers are red, the next two are green, and the last two are blue. Numbers are represented in hexadecimal, which is 0 - F instead of 0-9. Blue is #0000FF, where FF represents blue. If you want a lighter shade of blue, use numbers other than zeroes for the red and green equivalents. For example, #AAAAFF is this.

I just used "color=blue".

Well, as long as we're making silly blue theories about Incubators:

(Edit: joke deleted due to later advice)

And that blue hurts my eyes so damn much.
It's pretty much completely unreadable on Flexile Dark. The same issue with the blue font came up ago many months ago (back in October of last year), and people were convinced to use a more readable color, but I guess new people need to go through it again.

For the record, I recommend column 9, row 3 of the color picker (this color), or explicit value color: #0080ff.

You're also free to use any named HTML color (with [color=name]). For example, CornflowerBlue, RoyalBlue, SlateBlue, SteelBlue, CadetBlue, or DarkCyan (though the last two are more green than blue). Of those, I'd be partial towards CornflowerBlue, but RoyalBlue and SteelBlue are both decent as well. CornflowerBlue is a little on the light side when used with the Default style.

I thought you guys said it wasn't a good idea to spam Blue facts.
Are there negative consequences? I was just doing mine as a joke; if it's a problem I'll just delete it.

There are and there aren't. If a blue garners a response, it narrows the possibilities. Too many or badly worded blues on serious subjects will corner the players as much as it uncovers truths; they're a double edged sword, in many ways. It becomes impossible to influence the truth through good Omake, good discussion, and voted actions. Badly worded blues also allow the GM to create confusion and ambiguity.

There's nothing wrong with blue spam in itself, other than being a little annoying. I personally use the color=royalblue

The challenge is trying to remember the names of those shades of blue.

It'll be another day. I'm just not satisfied with it yet.

Getting in Homura's head well enough to write this properly...it's tough. She's had so many experiences and so many phases of development...I want to make sure I properly convey where she's at mentally, right now, but the line between writing this and forcing it is thin enough to make that hard.

I'll answer your blues once I wake up. Throwing Reds around casually is a bad idea when discussing the Incubators...they're a complex piece of lore.

On the topic of red and blue statements, to this day I'm still confused by that metaphysics discussion that happened a while back. The one that contained stuff like
Multiverse¹ is defined as the collection of all universes that Akemi Homura has ever visited, or may potentially visit, along with all universes that have or may ever interact with a universe that she occupies while she occupies it.

Multiverse² is defined as the subset of Multiverse¹ with which Akemi Homura has interacted (or had the universe she was in interact with in such a way as to affect Akemi Homura) up to this point in (subjective) time.

The "Law of Cycles²" has not (from a subjective temporal viewpoint) come into existence within the Multiverse².

You shouldn't worry about it too much. I was trying to create a properly narrowed set of statements written in place of the maddeningly muddied versions that had been proposed prior to that, but those statements still leave ambiguities in them that leave them only mildly helpful.

It wasn't a question that I felt was worth pursuing, anyway, given the stringency requirements, and how Madokami and Homucifer interact with time.

Timetravel is easy to understand though?
Entropy Judge's understanding of Time Travel:
1) Establish timestamp.
2) Close eyes and take three breaths.
3) Open eyes and check time:
If time has been altered from 1, then time travel.
If time has not been altered from 1, then no time travel.

Also, why did you change your avatar from the girl with a red scarf to a girl wearing a Pikachu hat?
