The only other contenders I'd consider instead of Apprenticeships would be Deep Striking for Dynamic Entry, or Apothecarian to try and mittigate the losses they'll be taking. Other than that it looks good.

I think on some level he'd admire it, since they're burdened with the same visions as him but they don't let that destroy them. He'd think they're wrong and their actions are in vain, but he sure as fuck didn't like being what he was.

Look curze would have done way better if fought like that. Say what you want Curze had charisma but focused on fear to much and ignored other emotions.
