I know there's the urge to save it, but the Gloriana-class ship feels pretty perfect for the chapter.

Between the mission of being highly mobile pirate hunters, the free Expanded Fleet trait, and the Swift Currents (Void), it feels like it would take a lot of luck to get a Chapter that could use the ship nearly as well as this one can.

20 kilometer ship named the Rocinante roaming around, filled to the brim with death-hungry thrill-seekers is a huge deterrent. Also a huge symbol for the Navy and citizens to rally around, especially with the charisma traits.
My issue is we would be handing it to a chapter that's always going to be under strength. Leaves it a bit too vulnerable to being lost in a boarding action for my taste.

I know the death rate is gonna be pretty high, but I also feel like recruitment will be almost as high with the honor and glory obsessed planet ready to refill everytime.

Depending on how successful the fleet is at becoming heroes, it could be seen as a lifelong dream to many citizens to become Space Marines.

I think Night Lord gene-seed is pretty stable?

One of the traits specifically says that the Chapter will NEVER get beyond half strength without extraordinary measures.

So we just have to take extreme measures at all times, ez.

That's so cheeks, Expanded Reliquary it is. I can't believe the Doom Prophet blindsided us with a trait like that.

[ ] Plan: Echo for Eternity

I like this plan, but I think someone else should get the big ship.

[ ] Plan: Echo for Eternity - LOOK AT OUR LOOT
-[ ] Something Better: Man is flesh and blood and so much less. The capacity for dreams might be it's only transcendent aspect. You will not take it from them. (Gain Trait: The Impossible Dream).
-[ ] Chapter Name: The Forever Knights
-[ ] Symbol: A sword pointed down, bisecting an infinity symbol
-[ ] Colors: White and Gold
-[ ] Chapter Creed: "Our deeds will live forever!", Battle Cry: "I have seen my death, and it is not today!"
-[ ] Apprenticeships: Each Battle Brother of this Chapter is expected to oversee the training of one or more initiates that catch their eye. Such measures will reinforce specialization within the chapter, for better and worse.
-[ ] Expanded Reliquary: The Chapter will be granted enough relics to equip it's greatest champions along with the facilities to hold and maintain many more.

This plan has my vote. The name and the thematics are great and the combination of The Impossible Dream, Appenticeships and Expended Reliquary is perfect. Tragic knights who strive for heroism is the vibe this chapter should have.

-[ ] Additional Bikes: This chapter has a large contingent of Combat Bikes. Ideal for Hit and Run strikes, it will be very difficult to pin down such a force.

True plus Knights and Squires are classic hell its a big thing in the Novel too.

Reliquary means a Knight passes on his Relics to his Squire which the squire uses for his own Heroic upon knighthood. Apart from skill it should build build solid bonds too.

I think we should give them the original text on Don Quixote, and their battle cries should be "Only fools and madman dream for greater tomorrow" Second part, more common: "And so we cry: For La Mancha!"

Anyone else want to save the Glorianna for a crusade fleet chapter? Maybe give it to the Dark Angels, since they have a history of getting to have the fun toys.

There may be another way for us to improve our numbers and that would be through dreads. After all we will have lots of dead heroes to put in them.

I like this plan.

My only problem is the "sword pointed down" which implies defense. A "none shall pass" or "come at me bro" kind of symbol.
Glorious knights charging off to be doomed heroes strikes me more as a "sword pointed up" kind of chapter. Aggressive and outgoing.

For big chungus ship, I say put it towards a Crusader-fleet Salamander Chapter, going after the Nurgle/Tyranid threat with maximum flamers.
