we need the safety net that the Emergency supplies gives us, so we can properly scramble to all the fires we're putting out

Hmm Yara does seem the most Vital ingiving ambrosia to keep her dad from killing her off and getting control qsaying atlleast.

but hmm I feel like ita its better to open up either Demon Flames or MG.so we. can. see what we can get from the missions they oopen up.

also wee can get ambrosia from r train. But Ibis base iss the only other base we know we can get and bases are just as viyal aas ambrosia to actually have members Of JU

Welcome to the Hero for Hire official message boards!

Damn, of course the forum people bother to use is owned by Powers/Dominion Security. I guess hero identities aren't that huge of a deal in the setting, but still feels bad when you presumably have to hand dox over to an opposing corp just for a verified account. Hell, Earthen Owl is even doing corpo astroturfing either of his own volition or on payroll.

This makes me deeply curious if anyone from Justice Unlimited liked to shitpost as a hobby. Nora seemed the type, what with the whole commissioning an NSFW artist who's asking to post (rather than send) the art posthumously.

Qudrim8054’s Candidate
Alright, so had an idea for a potential candidate, so I'm gonna create one.

Candidate S:
Name: Jason Carpenter
Age: 24
Stats: HIT 2, ESPIONAGE 2, REPUTATION 1, OPERATION 6
Tolerance: 5
Chauser's Notes: A Horizon native who had recently returned after studying abroad, Mr. Carpenter somehow found managed to find our base and came to us with hand-drawn maps of the city down to some of the smallest details, as well as some home-made gadgets. Requesting to join the organization in the hopes of becoming a hero. Apparently he planted the foundations for an entire vigilante career since he was a preteen, but slowly losing confident as time went on. He apparently has a ed belt in Karate, took archery classes and learned how to use handguns while abroad, where he studied engineering and chemistry. He also seems to be rather altruistic, meaning he might have potential as a member, but his nervousness around women is noteworthy.
Lady Leizi: Mr. Carpenter seems capable when it comes to gathering intel, as his hand-drawn maps of the city had some notes that would imply that he went to the streets himself to assess the situation. His combat skills are moderate at best but have some level of versitility and apparently his home-made gadgets seem rather interesting. He also seems to have a desire to help, as he still isn't aware of the program yet wants to help in any way he can. He does seem rather nervous around women, though. That is something needed to be fixed.

So what do you guys think? Should I change some of the stats based on the description I gave or is this solid?

Nah, Nora was the leader. Would have been too unprofessional and not in a "quirky" way.

Now Moon River did some trolling. She's been banned like eight times but always circumvents them. The longest ban was for inserting a virus that automatically changed any instance of "Scarlet Maturity" to "Lil' Johnny Murderer Peepants".

We havent met them and I already love them.

. . . now do I change it to someone made up on the spot to subvert expectations . . . ?
Do whatever makes for a better story. It's impossible to always subvert audience expectations, not without making a completely incoherent/random story. People are sometimes going to guess the big twist ahead of time - and that's often a good thing! Audiences love trying to understand foreshadowing and doing speculation, and done well it makes re-reading/re-watching/re-playing media knowing what's going to happen more enjoyable on the second go around.

Oh yeah, 100%. If someone guesses a future event, you've just done a good job foreshadowing. It can even be better than if the reader ends up totally surprised. I'm still riding high on calling a twist in FMA fifteen years ago.

. . . I'm old.
