[X] Plan: Heart & Numbers
-[X] [MISSION 1] The Dragon of the New Dawn AP 2, ESPIONAGE 4, REPUTATION 5, OPERATIONS 3
-[X] [MISSION 2] Who's Left Behind AP 2, HIT 6, ESPIONAGE 5, REPUTATION 4
-[X] [MISSION 3] Drove Through Ghosts to Get Here AP 1, HIT 9, ESPIONAGE 7, REPUTATION 5, OPERATIONS 11
-[X] Total AP & Hero: 5 AP, 15 Hit, Espionage 25, Reputation 14, Operations 14
-[X] Personal Actions:

-[X] Lady Leizi A Face that Toils So Close to Stones is Already Stone Itself (Reputation)
-[X] Black Swan You're Not My Real Dad!
-[X] Menagerie Witch Madeline-Bowl LVIII
-[X] Handyman Who Doesn't Love a Power Testing Scene?
-[X] A Spoonful of Sugar (John Henry)

I wonder if there is a possibility of staunching the bleeding in some of these orgs without fully committing to their alliance missions? This would help a bit to free up AP constraints until the team can be expanded.

Like for The Dragon of the New Dawn (AP 2), if New Dawn is endangered by Wonderland escapees, then could taking Seid ihr das Essen? Nein, wir sind der Jäger (AP 1) to contain those threats forestall the collapse? Though that contradicts the theme of unavoidable major consequences, and we may end up with a broken window anyway, just with a few less pieces to pick up afterwards.
Thats actually a good point and worth asking

Seid ihr das Essen? Nein, wir sind der Jäger (AP 1, HIT 5, ESPIONAGE 4): Wonderland was home to some of the worst, most dangerous metahumans in Horizon. And some less-monstrous metahumans who were more politically expedient to make disappear. Its extralegal nature always offended Justice Unlimited, but, now that it's fallen, some monsters are on the streets. Find them and stop them.
Lady Leizi: See my notes concerning New Dawn. The situation in the Uni District is . . . deeply concerning.
(Chance of new metahuman DNA, Chance of global +1 to HIT, Income +1000, Intel on current state of Horizon, Chance to unlock mission Long Shadows of Night, Chance to unlock mission The Air in the Valley, Chance to unlock mission Grand Theft Person)

The Dragon of the New Dawn (AP 2, ESPIONAGE 4, REPUTATION 5, OPERATIONS 3): New Dawn was the original, and largest, hero team in Horizon, and the bitter rivals of Justice Unlimited. Like you, they suffered heavy losses stopping the Leviathan from awakening. Now, they're under new management, by Wolong, a.k.a Gabriel Qwan, a metahuman who is a potent force multiplier but individually weak. He now proposes an alliance to keep the city from burning. You could at least hear him out.
Lady Leizi: Wolong has done very, very well hiding how desperate the situation is for New Dawn. No doubt he's worked himself to the bone. Initial estimates put their manpower at between 10-15 metahumans. This is a clever bit of misdirection—he's been mixing up team compositions and listing the names of dead metahumans on reports. New Dawn has five active metahumans including himself. Baba Yaga is fully retired, and Arc hasn't been seen in public since the Movement. On top of that, it seems like nearly every prisoner from Wonderland has converged on their territory—I've gotten reports of Shroud, Third Person, and Abarimon in the Uni District alone. New Dawn is about to collapse, and, given his tone, I think Wolong believes we are in a similar situation and is hoping to recruit us. We may have unexpected leverage.
(Unlocks mission Long Shadows of Night, Unlocks mission The Air in the Valley, Unlocks mission Grand Theft Person, Chance of New metahuman DNA, Intel about potential location for a new Wonderland, Chance of Eventual Income, Unlocks University District as potential territory for Justice Unlimited) [1 Turns Until Expiration]

Both of this unlocks the same type of mission. So I think a possibility is that Seid could help New Dawn out and maybe extend the timer for New Dawn?
Id be a gamble though.

At the very least if we do one of the missions next turn we might stop dawn from falling and the Universty getting ran by villains.

[X] Plan: Grand Alliance
-[X] Mission 1: Drove Through Ghosts to Get Here (HIT 9, ESP 7, REP 5, OP 11)
-[X] Mission 2: The Dragon of the New Dawn (ESP 4, REP 5, OP 3)
-[X] Mission 3: Olympus Has Fallen (ESP 4, REP 6, OP 4)
-[X] Lady Leizi: A Face that Toils So Close to Stones is Already Stone Itself (REPUTATION)
-[X] Black Swan: Water-Cooler Talk (Chaucer)
-[X] Menagerie Witch: Madeline-Bowl LVIII
-[X] Handyman: Who Doesn't Love a Power Testing Scene?
-[X] Global: A Spoonful of Sugar (John Henry Rhodes)
-[X] Total AP: 5
-[X] Total HERO: HIT 9, ESP 15, REP 16, OP 18

After some more thinking, I decided that stopping the Wonderland escapees from organizing and beating New Dawn is just too big a fire to ignore. We'll just have to apologize to Chaucer later on, but between stopping Powers from recruiting 4 Seasons or stopping them from potentially moving into the Foot, the latter is much more dangerous for us at the moment.

We'll make it up to Chaucer somehow, someday.

I'm going to say not in the way you think. You guys have a rough idea of what will happen if you don't take an organization's mission. No way of avoiding that.

Seid ihr das Essen? Nein, wir sind der Jäger is there so you can go after the Wonderland folks if you don't do/fail the New Dawn mission, should you choose.

Lucid, I altered your plan slightly in just having Mona's water cooler talk specify Chaucer, since it requires that we specify between him and Ibis. Might wanna put that in brackets.

hmm no alliance but could we save new dawn members atleast? Id be vulture like though but taking down the villains immediately after new dawn falls is a bit scummy but lets us stop the villains from making university people suffer.

[X] Plan: Grand Alliance

You know what I'm most excited about? Fighting a Named Behemoth. Monster Hunter's always been one of my favorite games.

Oh, and Medicant is very interesting to me.

Alright, I've decided

[X] Plan: Scarlet Fraud
-[X] Mission 1: Drove Through Ghosts to Get Here
-[X] Mission 2: Who's Left Behind
-[X] Mission 3: Olympus Has Fallen
-[X] Lady Leizi: A Face that Toils So Close to Stones is Already Stone Itself (REPUTATION)
-[X] Black Swan: Water-Cooler Talk (Chaucer)
-[X] Menagerie Witch: Madeline-Bowl LVIII
-[X] Handyman: Who Doesn't Love a Power Testing Scene?
-[X] Global: A Spoonful of Sugar (John Henry Rhodes)
-[X] Total AP: 5
-[X] Total HERO: HIT 15, ESP 16, REP 15, OP 15

I'm all in on 'fuck Dominion in particular'. Letting Wonderland go is gonna be a huge pain, but the more I think of future AP, the more I feel cross-eyed. Poaching Hiver will help with that immensely. Also feel bad for Chaucer.

There's no guarantee. You'll have to take that risk if you go that route.
Alright then Lets ball.

This new Plan has meet both 4 seasons and Global Justice stopping Scarlet maturity. But it also has us take the mission to stop wonderland which next turn opens the same type of missions meeting Wolong thus just without an alliance.
Now like Qm said its risky but If we focus on Uni villains next turn we can kneecap the alliance early from making the university people suffer and maybe save new dawn heroes if not save the organizaiton itself.

I know full well part of being a Hero is just not being able to save everyone. That said having a plan to save those affected by our failure or choices early is just being a good hero.

[X] Plan: Heroism
-[X] [MISSION 1] Olympus has Fallen (AP 2, ESPIONAGE 4, REPUTATION 6, OPERATIONS 4)
-[X] [MISSION 2] Who's Left Behind AP 2, HIT 6, ESPIONAGE 5, REPUTATION 4
-[X] [MISSION 3] Seid ihr das Essen? Nein, wir sind der Jäger (AP 1, HIT 5, ESPIONAGE 4)
-[X] Total AP & Hero: 5 AP, 11 Hit, Espionage 13, Reputation 10, Operations 8
-[X] Personal Actions:

-[X] Lady Leizi A Face that Toils So Close to Stones is Already Stone Itself (Reputation)
-[X] Black Swan You're Not My Real Dad!
-[X] Menagerie Witch Madeline-Bowl LVIII
-[X] Handyman Who Doesn't Love a Power Testing Scene?
-[X] A Spoonful of Sugar (John Henry)

[X] Plan: Heart & Numbers

Gonna vote for this again. While I still think Heroism is good if we dont meet wulong.

My old plan is also great for getting Wulong boost Ambrosia in the future while also making sure JU doesnt have jnternal problems which letting hiver die eill definately result in.

chickenbullion’s Candidate and Recruit
CANDIDATE J
Name: Lily Parker
Age: 30
Stats: HIT 1, ESPIONAGE 2, REPUTATION 4, OPERATIONS 2
Tolerance: 7
Chaucer's Notes:
Lily originates from the Worker's Mitt, and seems to have lived a relatively normal life. She doesn't have any violations on her record, and lives with her elderly mother in their own apartment. She admits to being a massive fan of Justice Unlimited back in the heyday, but some of her expectations might be.. difficult to deal with.
Lady Leizi: She possesses the desire to do good that is essential for a good hero, but I fear that the pressure of being a hero might be too much for her. Lily means well, but at the end of the day, her idealism can be a hindrance. She believes that she can save everyone, and possesses frankly unrealistic expectations for her heroes; she'll have to shed that to be a true addition to Justice Unlimited.

METAHUMAN INSECTA
Name: Franz Marshall
Age: 39
Codename: Hive
Stats: HIT 7, ESPIONAGE 3, REPUTATION 1, OPERATIONS 5
Powers:
Franz's body hosts a swarm of flesh eating insects that he may expel from the holes on his body. They are loyal towards him, but indiscriminately hostile towards every being in sight. The swarm actively replicates after they devour organic matter, and can chew through seemingly anything. The insects in his body are too deformed to bear any similarities to any known species, but they vaguely resemble locusts. He may also disperse his body and reform it to avoid damage.

Franz's power actively demands that he devour matter to expand and grow, and it has actively taken a toll on his sanity, turning him into a raving lunatic. If he allows himself to starve, the insects will turn on him and begin devouring him from the inside out.

Origin: Franz was by all means, an ordinary businessman. All those who knew him described him as a meek, solitary figure. He kept to himself and never bothered anyone, and it was not known if he had any family. His apartment was always empty, and all his lights were off when he was at work.

One day, his neighbors complained of hearing an odd sound from his apartment, and Franz himself hasn't been seen in weeks. Worried, they broke open the door, only for a veritable swarm to shatter the door and begin attacking everything in sight. In the resulting chaos, he escaped.

Now, the neighborhood hears rumors of a disheveled man wandering around, leaving a trail of half devoured animal carcasses in his wake.

Franz does not wish to hurt anyone, but the insanity caused by his powers may result in him being a danger to everyone in his wake, despite this, he still holds an impossible wish, a desire to be a hero. A wish to do good. It is the one thing his feverish mind has held on to even after all this time.

A/N: New ambrosia candidate!! And a metahuman too.. MrKermie inspired me with his Jun sheet.. anyway here's Franz! He's an old OC of mine. Also I'm not good at planning, so take this for my apology for such a dry reply.

My hunch is that it will surely doom New Dawn as an org. The members may live if Wonderland is dealt with promptly, and ironically that might be in line with a selfish strategy where we let the org collapse and save the members to get at their base. I'm guessing it hinges on the success of the Seid ihr das Essen? Nein, wir sind der Jäger mission, as it only has a chance of unlocking what are probably the Wonderland questline missions compared to the guaranteed unlocks from The Dragon of the New Dawn.

@EternalObserver May want to revise your plan to select Ibis or Chaucer for the Water-Cooler action.

It costs 1K per turn and gives us a 1 time infusion of 4K. We currently have a income of 1K per turn, so the Apiary will drain our income per turn until we get new territory to increase it.
I was talking more in-world lore, and Bitterman just answer that, but that's also a good point. Stockpile will also get us some cash, but we definitely need some long-term passive income to cover that cost if we're getting the Apiary back this turn.

Yep, hence -1000 income per turn. On the bright side, should we succeed in subduing Floating Venom Morpheme, we'd get 4000

@Bitterman Question: I'm aware of an alliance's narrative impact for this story, but I need to ask: How would an alliance with say, New Dawn or Medicant reflect in terms of mechanics?
Mendicant will sell you their healing symbiotes, which they usually won't do under any circumstances.

New Dawn will give you new missions, a boost to taking control of any of their territory, and will send their metahumans to help you on their quest lines.

Wolong's power will help you find Ambrosia synergies, and Arc I'll keep secret for now.

BTW do we know whats Hiver power, is also update today?
Forgot to answer this earlier: from what Lady Leizi knows, he creates pillars of light that act as forcefields to keep things in the pillars or out. They can be oriented in any direction—vertical, horizontal, diagonal, etc. He can control the direction of gravity inside the force field.
