*DEEP BREATH* BOY!!!
Ok.... its sad but true, we cant save everyone....so... who do we help?
Also for personal im interested in Mona interfiring(?) With her parent (appearent?) Love life.
Madeline is netween power testing and the adopt a child free for all.
Rhys is power testing and talkimg with the folks.

The dreaded turn 2 is here. We can't save everyone, so now's the time to pick who we help and who we leave alone.

New Dawn is a lock for me. Absolutely need their help against Wonderland thugs like the Prince, who we definitely want dead.

That leaves Global Justice and 4 Seasons. Sorry Chaucer, but much as I want to save Hiverr and learn Scarlet Maturity's powers, keeping Powers from expanding to the Foot where our base in the Ladder is located, is just too strategically important.

We need to keep Powers from establishing a foothold in the Foot and the OID to prevent whatever it is they're planning.

Just checking, but Scarlet Maturity isn't actually part of Four Seasons, is he?
Nope, he leads Powers, a superhero team sponsored by a security megacorp. They've been on a metahuman recruiting spree lately, and 4 Seasons seems to be their latest acquisition.

Wider than a Mile (AP 4, HIT 45, ESPIONAGE 36, REPUTATION 39, OPERATIONS 38)

you were not kidding jesus christ we're gonna need to train and recruit a shitton to reach that.

I suppose that "Gain Intel on Scarlet Maturity's Power" in a meeting where Four Seasons is apparently setting a trap for us is telling, huh?

Did he just go "Fuck that, I'll do it for free" for them? Or did they have enough cash in the piggy bank to pay out his fees?

We know he wants access to Nora's stuff, and the Apiary's still locked up. But if he takes us out early, he can take his time cracking open the base with no resistance.

Beach Episode! (AP 0): Everyone has been pushed to the bring, and even you could use some time to relax. The Elysium Station on top of Jacob's Ladder is the most luxurious vacation destination in the world and you have a contact who can smuggle you and the rest of Justice Unlimited in. Go. Do it. You've all earned it.
(Intel about an Unfortunate Truth of this World)

...Can't we just have a nice day out without confronting terrible realities? I mean, yes, Horizon has been burning yesterday, today, and tomorrow, but can't we just have some unmitigated down time? No? Fine then.

Gwen does blame Justice Unlimited for her little sister's death, and we know she's deathly afraid of becoming poor again now that her team's star player is dead, so I'm guessing Powers offered her money and a chance to get revenge in exchange for letting the famously control-freak Gwen to come under Scarlet Maturity's command.

This does make me think that walking into the trap and surviving means we cut off this avenue of expansion for Powers since if Gwen can't have her revenge, the deal probably won't go through. Powers has been on a recruitment spree lately, and I'm guessing it's because they want to take over the City now that the other superhero groups are poorly positioned to stop them.

ayup hmm ete sucks but Chaucer is a core member and its clear he cares alot about Hiver for old times sake if nothing else.

[[ Plan: Heart & Numbers
-[] [MISSION 1] The Dragon of the New Dawn AP 2, ESPIONAGE 4, REPUTATION 5, OPERATIONS 3

-[] [MISSION 3] Drove Through Ghosts to Get Here AP 1, HIT 9, ESPIONAGE 7, REPUTATION 5, OPERATIONS 11
-[] Total AP & Hero: 5 AP, 15 Hit, Espionage 25, Reputation 14, Operations 14
-[] Personal Actions:

-[] Lady Leizi A Face that Toils So Close to Stones is Already Stone Itself Reputation
-[] Black Swan You're Not My Real Dad!
-[] Menagerie Witch Madeline-Bowl LVIII
-[] Handyman Who Doesn't Love a Power Testing Scene?
-[] A Spoonful of Sugar
Alright heres my plan Rescuing Hiver gives us another immediate recruit which gives 6 Ap immediately once once we get another Metahuman. Letting the Villains get coordinated withuot cutting them down is too much of danger, so meeting Wulong so we can start culling them next turn.
Lastly taking back the apiary to gain all the benefits of other base and doing heroics by rescuing people trapped there and getting an alliance with one of the only metahuman healers in Horizon.

Failing Stockpile sucks but the investment needed to recruit him and the risk of Project Prometheus being revelaed to america is too high for me to take. Espeically as with they pointed out they could still just force Stockpile to burn out into rebound even if we help him. So yeh sorry kid and Justicar.

As for personal actions Leizi needs to up her Rep prefferebly to 5 but 4 atleast puts her rep on par of Radiant Silver Girl who could intimidate people pared with her hit 9. The funny events with swan and Menageri mainly cause we really shouldnt slack on making sure Maddie has a guardian. Lastly boosting Rhys Hit to 7 and giving him an Idea of how to really fight with his powers.

Handyman

Water-Cooler Talk (AP 0): Menagerie Witch is still getting comfortable in her role with Justice Unlimited. Maybe she should get to know the people around her. (Choose to talk to Joelle Chaucer or Dr. Mammoth Ibis) (Chance of Intel depend on who is chosen)
Copy-paste typo here, unless we mean to have Handyman disguise as Menagerie Witch just for water cooler chats :V

I get the feeling voters will gather around the New Dawn and Global Justice missions. I am a bit concerned about leaving Hiver to his fate and letting Chaucer down like that though.

Does this quest allow approval voting (i.e. a single person can vote for multiple plans freely)?

I'm with Lucid for being in favor of New Dawn/Global Justice.

Which leaves our last group AP and the personal stuff.

I want Maddie to get adopted, I think Rhys and Mona should do more training, which, also, confirm that it's +1 to a stat and then it's gone, either permanently or just until we do all four. Leizi... tracking down Petit Prince is my call but I'm also flexible.

As for what to do, meeting the reporter for the interview is tempting for the action boost for eventually getting her, as is just bum-rushing the Apiary. Demon Flamez would also let us start getting OID control up.

Moratorium's still up, bud.

2 Hour Moratorium! We can draft plans, but no voting yet.

That ssaid, I'm in agreement with your plan here. Getting the Apiary back and making sure our part of Catch-22 is still contained is absolutely a massive priority.
woops missed that. And thanks yeh I'm sure Stockpile would be worth it and foot definately gonna give lots of income. But we need to cull the villains and narratively I dont want to fail chaucer by not rescuing Hiver.

I feel really bad for Chaucer, I knew he was gonna pitch for rescuing Hiver, but :(

Looks at all the vote options. Starts frothing.

I….want to pick so much.

I've personally speculated that it's possible that Powers had leverage over Gwen enough that she's forced to cooperate with them and set Justice Unlimited up to a trap, but I'll admit that's a charitable read. Very much possible that she just became desperate and go with Powers willingly, not to mention her grudge over JU for getting Ophelie killed (not really).
