That was incredible. I am so happy.

Get wrecked White Hawk. (I almost feel sorry for Seraph, then I remember what she's done.)

as for the vote... I'm leaning... lunch?

God what a sick update.

Ellie popping off. With a boost from Nora? (Have to try to decode those ?s… is there any world it was the Lady in Blue? Probably not, right.)

LL delivering some righteous justice and an incredibly powerful speech.

And then the pining! The pining!!!

Poor Mona, she doesn't have it easy.

Failed OPS rolls and lingering lore clues, name a more iconic duo. I was thinking VJ was powered by the local subconsciouses! And do we think that's where the drawing power from the leviathan comes in?

Oh SHIT is that what Jacob's Ladder's true purpose is???

Oh and Elysium lets you live in it. Damn. Can definitely see how it's climbing the mountain without earning it, too.

That...was WORTH the wait. My gad...that was beautiful just... *chef kiss*. Chihiro is a BEAST and freaking Hilarious! Also Lady Leizi nuance? Her words? The reveal that she was engaged? Oohhh the masses will eat that up. And she continues to prove that she is a sccaaaaaarrryyy woman, and we love her for it. As for White Hawk? Not manu outward reactions.... but the little tip bits? HE DESPISES US! And. I. Love. It.
Also yay Ellie got approve by Monas Mom! (Viva la shovel talk). And oh? That was a interesting little Luck check...

Anyways... as for our plan of attack? Shield generators for Rhys, Lady Leizi and Chatelet? (Wait we have 4...)Healing Symbiote for Menagerie witch? So she can use Echidna?

And as for our plan of talkijg to Yara... I say either approach this as Lunch or as a recruitment pitch... preferally the former. Its probably better to make an attempt to know her before trying to recruit her. Trust will go a very far way me thinks....

You have no idea how fucking happy I am at reading this update and shutting down White Hawk like that.

Also god, Fear has cometh once again for this upcoming arc.

There's no shot that the psionic siphon isn't the Ladder. Goddammit. Valkyrie was right, I guess? Still, we've gotten close enough with rolls that I wouldn't be surprised if we figure it out at the next roll.

...How do we wanna approach Yara? My gut feeling is that we shouldn't go for the extraction route because any rash movements might result in SB being rash herself. So that just leaves either recruitment or lunch, in my eyes.

Sandra Rhodes: Justice Unlimited Matchmaker is something I did not know I wanted until now.

Good on Chihiro for calling out a gross goatee. And BLESS Rhys for that incredible playing dumb act.

Stockpile has doubt. Remains to be seen if he sees the light or doubles down, but if nothing else, White Hawk and Starlight Knight will have to make their moves more subtle going forward. That's a good start.

@TheGrape this is your fault.

I have no idea what I did, but I claim all responsibility. I'm no coward.

"I don't hate you! I have a curse! The turbo-fumble! I'm cursed with the turbo-fuuuuuuuuumble!"

"Right."

"Noooooo, believe me, please!

I see we have moved on from the Hostile Lesbians Arc to the Oblivious Gays Arc. You better not take away Mona's curse; the BlackGold/ValiantSwan ship would not be complete without her incessantly, unintentionally stabbing Ellie in the heart every time she opens her mouth.

*Answers the phone*
Incidentally, another of my theories: Jacob's Ladder is a giant psychic amplifier and/or condensor, either intentionally on Osanyins part for some unknown purpose or through other parties secretly altering it for their own goals. That's why Valkyrie was so much stronger then anyone thought: it's completion allowed her power to reach new heights.

Relatedly, Elysium isn't just an ultra-exclusive place far away from the plebs and the Horae Guard aren't just strong Metahumans recruited and lucky Elysium natives. Being up there slowly strengthens Metahumans, and being born up there enhances both the odds of being born a Metahuman and the strength of their power if they are. It's the rich of the world slowly trying to become the most powerful, militarily as well.
I FUCKING CALLED IT!

Yeh Lunch and hope to god we gain enough trust so we can offer to recruit her even of kt means giving concession

Edit: Also this trio may not have the best rep but man were they Stacked in espionage and it showed.

Handyman you Magnificent bastard playing ignorant is amazing play.

Honestly if that's the case, then it's kinda hilarious? Because even as a new technology, this new route is... significantly and obviously better? But it's one you can't actually use while stuck up in a Space Ladder.

There's no shot that the psionic siphon isn't the Ladder. Goddammit. Valkyrie was right,

That is an idea, find, question and (potentialy) recuit Valkryie. She escaped Wonderland alongside everyone else in that place but nobody knows where she is. It's worth thinking about at the very least.

So, as foe what to do, I agree that we should probably try just talking with Yara first. Her family life's an absolute trainwreck, a mysterious metahuman has been attacking her for unknown reasons, and now she's being approached by her dead sister's teammate and her allies. I think that trying to reassure her is the best bet.

Stupid bastard-thief Stockpile. How did he power his armor when not in combat? The answer had seemed so obvious for a moment, but it had slipped away like water cupped in your hands. What was it?!
So I think I've figured this out.

It's powered a lot like how EXCEED-BEYOND is powered. Only it isn't voluntary. Crusade has meta humans locked up somewhere being siphoned to feed the armor when it isn't in use. This is a much nastier process than it is for Ellie, because they don't have powers perfectly custom designed to fuel the suit.

This is also why crusade want princess so badly - it isn't about Monarch. It's because they can use her to fuel a second suit.

(Also I agree that the space elevator is totally a psionic siphon pulling from the leviathan. The real reason Elysium will never be finished is because they can't figure out how to complete it without ruining the effect. So they keep having to rip out what they just did and start over, with minimal explanation because they aren't exactly going to explain that it turns out if they finish the spaceport it turns elysium into a psionic faraday cage, which is the opposite of what they need.)

Also how suprising that stockpile is building a Metahuman prison.

Most likeyl with defenses to make it completely opague like wonderland.

1) Having a bunch of captured meta-humans seems like a little much, but it's possible. I guess you could blame it on America (or look at the Philosopher's clearly-mentally-not-all-there captives). EDIT: Or the prison, good point.
2) Wait, I thought Ellie was sorta lying? Does her suit not draw power from the Stage?
17 + 0 + 5 (???????-????) = 23. Critical Success! Major Success!
As a fun* game to play while we wait for the Moratorium to end, what do people think the ? stand for?

7-4... Phantom-Nora? Specter-Nora? Ghostly-Nora? VALIANT-BLUE? :V
