Huh. As interesting as the update itself is, there's one particularly worrying thing about Ellie's new character block I noticed.

Name: ????, Noelle "Ellie" Han
Power: The EXCEED-BEYOND Armor
Side Effect: Extreme Psychic Field Sensitivity
Faction: Justice Unlimited
Potency: 13
Stats: HIT 8, ESPIONAGE 4, REPUTATION 6, OPERATIONS 9
Notes: Ellie wields the EXCEED-BEYOND armor, which has four modules with different power sets. Modules must be selected for a scene and may be changed between scenes. Using any power in blue will disable the module until the end of a combat encounter. Using module "dynamite" will disable the EXCEED-BEYOND armor until the end of the mission.
Always Active: Anti-gravity, Energy Shielding, Mental Manipulation Immunity
Module "Paper": Pyrokinesis, Energy Blaster, Drones, Targeting Suite, Railgun
Module "Scissors": Psychic Energy Blades, Agility Suite, Telekinesis, Pilebunker
Module "Rock": Enhanced Strength, Advanced Energy Shielding, Power Nullification
Module "Dynamite": O̵̺͓̊͌͊p̵̞͕̔̚ē̵͔͜ņ̵͍͎̊ ̸͎̌̄̌ẗ̶̖͘h̶̝̮͐̋ë̵̺̺́ ̷̺͊S̵͍̊̈̕t̷̮̎͝ą̶̩̞̄g̶̮͘e̶̦̲̟͌
Why is Power Nullification a different color than the other two Modules' ultimate powers?

Yeah, we also got some very troubling implications that Rebound isn't just Super Dementia, it's straight up Malicious in what it makes you forget. The fact that Nora's Masterpiece that she went into Rebound on? That someone who cared as much about people as she did started forgetting people? That she had so much to say about care and maintenence but it was specifically the safety measures to keep the wearer from exploding when you first did it that were replaced and she didn't realize it at any point reviewing it? Despite knowing how important it was?

Whatever's tailoring this though isn't omniscient fortunately, they don't have Perfect Information. They apparently didn't know that Nora was going to somehow have her psychic pattern preserved, which gave a chance for whoever took up EXCEED-BEYOND to survive long enough to get into the armor and fix the damage. But it does suggest a lot of troubling things about how Algernons work, and implies they're very much intended as a poisoned chalice.

Name is bitter for the man on top of the mountain.

This sounds like someone attacking King, someone with pretty much every power. Good thing King had backup covering his vulnerability to mental assault.

That aside, this was an amazing update. Justice Unlimited Reborn is truly shaking up to be a team that will live up to the legacy of their predecessors, in both power and ideals.

Hunh.
Yanno, I thought the constant swearing was a reaction to the Rebound, and that Valiant Silver was a more serious type.
Now I understand, Nora just swears like a sailor and because she's ending up with a block of Swiss cheese where her brain should be.

Also, that was a look into King's mind apparently, at some point. Is his power "I have Every Power?" Or something? Emotional Manipulation isn't something that should logically fit in with everything else. But it does tell me that apparently Scarlet Maturity's invincibility also extends to psychic attacks evidently.
No, it's the opposite. The emotional manipulation was being used on King. To amplify his guilt about leaving during the Movement.

Also, I think your wrong about Algernon types. At the end there, Nora seems to have realized why the Rebound happens: the power is supposed to be shared somehow.

Jesus Christ. Imagine what Yara or Homer would have gone through if we had decided to wait and give it to them. Especially Nora seeing the love of her life's younger sister take up her mantle.

This is your fault.

Well, not entirely your fault. Theodore was the fool who went ahead with the experiment without proper testing. Kyoko enabled him. Now he's dead and she's unresponsive.

Oscar is gone. Run away, as always. Like a child hiding his soiled sheets under the bed. He's used your device and gone so far, you doubt he'll ever come back.

Yemọja has rallied the metahumans in the city—even Novalight's remnants of New Dawn—but they will make no difference. It's just a fragment, but even a fragment of a god is a god.

It's your fault. All of your faults. You were not just Icarus flying too close to the sun—you all were flying into the sun. And you—the mother of psychic technology—built the machine that let them.

Perhaps Oscar had the right idea. Perhaps . . . you should run away too.
Also, I think poor Stockpile might have accessed whoevers memory this is/was when messing around with the EXCEED pieces.

[]Plan Battalizer
-[] Name: Valiant Gold
-[] Color Scheme: Gold Armor, Red Bodysuit & Green Scarf
-[] Emblem: A Silver Moon shining with 4 Points

Okay heres my plan. I went with Red Bodysuit as Homage to Valiant Red since E-B being Nora's creation is enough of a connection to her. Green Scarf for Heavenly Astrogian and of Course Gold in Armor Parts fitting of the name.

I envision this similar to how a Red Ranger with GoldBattleizer looks and Hey Nora homage KR lets have Noelle homage the Rangers ;v

As for Symbol the moon is fitting with how BS shines like the sun, also good reason to go for a silver Emblem in homage to Nora as well being a Celestial object astrologist actually looks at. Lastly 4 Points to denote E-B 4 modes.

You have a point. If we were looking at this, without Nora's...echo? Presence? Whatever term is best for her current state being here to clarify that this isn't her, then I'd consider it fairly good evidence that she had a hand in the Leviathan stirring.

Of course, that raises an important question: if this isn't Nora, who is it? Nora is the only person known to have invented psitech, after all.

Honestly considering Prevail was created from Exceed and should be equal to E-B as the Vergil. I'm wondering how Silvio is using it safely or is he killing himself like Nora Originally did with Exceed?

Hopefully using his Algernon to Reverse Engineer Exceed atleas let him find a way to safely use it.

Also Man it sucks Noelle didnt hear how Algernon powers should be properly used. If we learned how to safely used Algernon Powers we can help Dr. Ibis massively and actually gives us the option of using Vulcans DNA.

Cause Man are ALgernons bullshit enough that 2 Dedicated Heroes being needed to safely use it would be so worth it.

". . . using it doesn't hurt? How . . .?"

". . . can think so clearly . . . I was fucked up . . ."

". . . Oh. Two. . . power always meant for two . . ."

". . . too much for one. Need two . . . so obvious . . ."

". . . kid. Too late for me, but thanks . . . love . . . "
Like I'm not the only one reading this and getting Pacific Rim Flashbacks right?

Piloting a Jaeger alone is too much for the brain for anything but short burst. Properly Using A Jaeger or Algernon Power needs 2 People somehow managing to share load between 2 Brains so no Rebound.

. . . I was so mad at that luck check, you have no idea.

You point to Chihiro. "She found me before I could go through with it and got me to the hospital. Is she part of the cycle?"

You point to Kelso. "He anonymously paid for my medical bills and thinks I don't know. Is he a parasite?"
VS, I love you but you just demonstrated a laughable lack of understanding of systemic issues.

Although it seems she might have helped inspire the Defiance Unit's attack on Elysium with her words ?
"Because that's how you find the will to live." She pins you with her gaze. "You take a piece of their hearts and give them all of yours."
Cries

Huh.
This is the events leading up to the Susurration, probably.
