Letting them kill Opale would have started the hot war. In saving her and beating Faust and Scarlet Maturity, you showed that you also have a big stick. Now, you've forced them to be smart.
Oh cool yeh Im even more Determined now to Build a Five of A Kind hand of Potency 13's. As our best play to deal with The Philosophers if Swan is enough to atleast make them play smart 5 P13 should give us a solid chance of VIctory. If we can get a 6th in time for final showdown even better.

To be fair, Apiary's psychic protection blocking Lantern means they're also operating on imperfect information. And Anansi is clearly desperately and in vain trying to put out the PR/infosec problem Moon River is causing.

In the court of public opinion, we're winning.
Yeh for all Stockpile is convinced JU are in the wrong, public opinion is on their side since weve proven JU is still standing strong with taking down named Behemoth and Scarlet Maturity.

Unless they have solid proof and confident tehy can take on JU without losing their own cards they need to be careful since JU past rep means alot of people are willing to side with them. Wulong atleast I'm confident in being a firm ally since Prometheous shows that VS really did knew what she was doing.

Figuring out how powers work afterall and even being able to create someone Black Swan is just too nuts for him to believe that VS was messing with things she didnt know about. Its more likely for him to think that Prevail just read some her and didnt have the skill to really understand what VS was doing and capbable of.

Hell even the Philosophers for all their own Abilities cant even grook the Fact that JU could make heroes. Once we start producing S and A tier Heroes near continously theyd definately figure out something strange is going on. But without solid Proof JU being a Hero factory is too out there for them.

Planning for "5 potency 13 heroes", is not even like counting chickens before they hatch, but more like counting chickens before the dinosaurs even evolved into birds.
Uh not really we have Yara and Noelle mission lines unlock for recruiting them. In Hero Worship and MG's that 2 High candidates and with Tolerance boost we can have them at T10 2 Turn minimum.

The Drug boy is the same so its just a matter of raising a 6 or 7 into a 10 by the time things go hot. Not easy but possible considering our next Big Problem is long term.

Mwehehehehehehehehehe.

Finished the outline. This is gonna be gooooooood.
Oh boy so I'm either totatlly wrong with that read and while masses might prefer them alot of Metahumans actualyl want to take down JU or in the right with my read.

Edit: Since Hero for hire means alot of mercenary metahumans I wouldnt be suprised if Prevail involves slowly buying them up for a big fight against JU.

I don't know if there's enough meat on the bone of his back story for a whole back issue, but there's DEFINITELY some Ibis-centric global actions coming up that are gonna be GREAT.
All Ibis content is good for daedalus
QUICK GORILLA. A literal orangutan named Peaches. The only non-human example of metahuman powers ever observed. Unparalleled speedster, capable of breaking the sound barrier. (OOC info: Not any smarter than the average orangutan.)
Also because I am finding Time to go through the rest of the thread marks and having seen this we must save and recruit peaches

In my mind Gravity Rook and Black Gravity Rook are distinct plans, because a space suit is different from plate armor unless it's for a space knight. If they only differed in colors then I would see them as flavors of the same plan, since colors are the most liable to change for the sake of artistic sensibility. But I can't speak for other voters about that.

This may be a problem because I'm not sure we're smart.
"Some villains think they can outsmart us. Maybe, maybe... but I've yet to meet one who can outsmart light speed Mona."

Though, if I were to go back and assess our smarts objectively:
  • Operations checks, the most glaring failures I can think of with Morpheme and Scarlet Maturity have been more from randomness than being really outclassed in the stat checks.
  • Voter sleuthing skills, we do alright with some bang-on predictions in guessing people's powers. The delay in figuring out the Philosophers' symbolism I would chalk up to people not really looking into them until they became more visible in the story.
  • Voter action plans, Apiary was handled well. Four Seasons there were a couple mistakes. New Dawn was great but half credit for serendipity. Overall, not bad.
  • Individual character stats, yeah I guess it doesn't look so good to have a single 15 year old girl be the only one above average at plotting. Good thing we just recruited Opale as second in command!

We haven't even seen what PREVAIL actually does. I highly doubt its mind control considering Wolong's attending and losing Wolong the turn after we got him from a crit sounds nonsensical.

Like, let's calm down from the doom posting before the fill-in issue is even out. :p

Well, okay, but aside from what we know of normal EXCEED, Stockpile's stage fear/antipathy, and the Vergil comment making me think the Scissors energy blades might turn into an energy katana, all I have to go on is anxiety and that gremlin laugh about us winning the PR war.

Recruiting Chihiro seems more and more urgent now yeh. We need someone who actually likes PR.

It's just one of those things we have to wait and see, and then roll with as things unfold. We have a good hand in the PR war, but we're not the only ones with cards to play.

To that extent, I'm going to continue to advocate for Meet the Rookie and Cenotaph as a must for our next turn.

Agreed we might need to delay Yara's mission depending on what new action to deal with Prevail opens up. But it looks like some sort of PR war is gonna happen before Stockpile and Philosophers make a Move on us.

Mona has more REp than Uirra, but she doesnt have the experience in PR that uirra did so thats something for Chihiro to able to use her rep properly.

Hmm I can see Star, Fish and Sun working with Stockpile to take down JU as the Long term problem. Or Atleast using stockpile to scout us out before making their own move.

Apologies for letting my anxiety get the better of me. This is a silly little interactive game, not the end of the world.
I apologize if I gave you anxiety. The game is supposed to be fun, and you guys have done so well that I'm having fun throwing curveballs at you.

I'm also pleased with the solution to a writing problem I've been bashing my head against, so I hope you enjoy it!
