As far as the inventory in this setting would go, I was thinking of the inventory from Neverwinter Nights, using a grid that mapped to Strength. Five blocks down, ten blocks across with a new page opening up with each point of strength. Larger items and equipment would eat larger amounts of space while small items like consumables or bullets would stack up to fifty. With some reasonably small but significant items maybe taking up two blocks and stacking up to ten times instead.
This way it's not just a bottomless pit that everything gets lost in. Again -_-
So technically he could stack up fifty molotovs, shrapnel bombs, and even stink bombs? That would mess with a bunch of people, enhanced senses would be hell with that.
Now for people not Al, it could be interesting...
Is there a grace period that protects them from people like Contessa? Giving them time to build up?
I mean what would be available for people in this system? For example is there a power that slowly increases what you work on, like for example after exercising hard for a day, and going to sleep you would wake up better than yesterday?
Maybe a different version of Dauntless's power that can be upgraded, like maybe getting more charges as you invest in the power?
Maybe a breaker/shaker power that allows you to refine scrap and junk into its basic elements, that can be recycled into raw assets that can be used for various things like tinkering...
There was actually a manga where these people were facing a zombie apocalypse, some people actually gained abilities like this one guy who keeps getting stronger every day, and the effects are enhanced if he exercises everyday. So basically he got stronger, faster, and tougher by exercising or even just passing a day.
Another guy could reinforce/upgrade things by fulfilling conditions, like getting so and so much steel, stealing a lollipop from a little girl, and a half smoked cigarrette. Which he did to enhance his RV which could drive through other cars like it was a tank, take missile strikes, and was just ridiculously tough. For the tires he had to take the tires around ten times, basically spinning it around his arm like a hula hoop ten or so times. For each arm.
Finally was an old man who had a kind of telekinesis, he could touch a piece of technology, and take it apart... Allowing him to see how it is made, unlock the ability to use said tech, and it even allows him to have inspiration on other things he could make based off the tech/item.
