What I have learned about Worm through this Fic:

Worm is weird and kinda bad. It makes everything kinda bad it touches but hey it can be a fun bad sometimes! It can even be good if someone skilled can work it!

Mouse Protector is a pretty cool character. Makes me wish for her to get a chance for Alec to explain things in full and maybe become friends? I think Alec needs less family and more friends anyways. More people who understand him but aren't familial close. Someone that could invite him out to dinner and Alec would actually think to go. They have a cool chemistry. (I wrote this part right before the update- guess she did kinda get that Alec is just a bit anti-social... does that mean they did become friends if she understood how he was?)

And that in the end, you Mister Ficser are pretty good a making a story I will fall in love with, no matter what weird setting you wander into next!
Oh wait, that isn't about Worm but about you! Oops-

Thank you for writing this 100 chapter long adventure, and I look forward to the next story you write!

How to Beat Fried Worms

Disclaimer: Worm is owned by Wildbow because nobody was willing to abuse themselves with it.

Chapter 101: Epilogue
Alec: Get Fucked.
Terra: rude.

The Blue Lanterns are invading! Run for your lives!
Don't even joke about that. She would quickly get to the point where her power would be fed by the hopes and prayers of her enemies to be overlooked, or at least receive a swift and painless death. She would turn hope itself into a weapon.

I really like that Eidolon's ending was as pathetic as the one in canon. Instead of "You needed worthy opponents.", an offscreen suicide is suitably ignoble.

Ooh, that was a beautiful ending. Tlor will probably have a much better life now. Longer, for sure. xD

Thanks for the chapter, author!
Can't wait to see where you'll take us next time!

It was a fun run. Thank you for the good times and congratulations on completing the story (assuming it is indeed complete).

I see Alec's modus of introducing basic magic to people is continuing. Earth Bet is going to be in an interesting place. The real question now is about the fate of the other Earths. Do they get magic too or is that it?
Did Terra secretly send him here to get rid of the local Gaia's parasite problem?
Did she actually remember to bring him home?
Did she forget all about this while watching intergalactic telenovellas for the past two years?

Oh hey taylor seems fine so thats nice, tho whatever consequences came from the whole shard sent to hell stuff were definetly ignored and waved away for the most part it seems. Magic may be a thing now? Hopefully that doesnt end badly, since WB did also make a story with magic....

Cauldron got bashed to death as per usual, that eidolon stuff was absolute shit and I hated it, it makes sense but it just really feels like pissing in a dead horse that you beat to death. Like fuck, you might aswell just have killed all of them at the end bringer fight.

Id say this story was pretty fun from start and started to spiral into pretty meh in the end.

Wonder how that reunion with terra went tho.

Also Toad statues are always the right option 100% of the time always.

Hmmm you know, he really should have spent all of those points before sending all the shards to hell... Now what the heck was Alec supposed to do with those?

Decimation 140/40: Imbue your weapons with an effect that increases the severity of wounds and causes additional damage! Duration: 30 Seconds per level. Cost: 10 SP

140/40...typo?

Also, I don't look at all of the character sheets, so apologies if I missed in a past post, but the abilities that are crossed out, are they because Alec doesn't want them/intentionally deleted, or something else?

I'd guess they were removed with the rest of the paragamer system after Alec leaves Worm, since they didn't get over 20 and thus weren't mastered and embedded within his soul.

They did not reach the level 20 threshold to be carried over and become permanent parts of Alchemist rather than just tools of the Paragamer System.

Eidolon was Wildbow's version of Captain America, except more extreme.

Before being given a vial by Cauldron, David was a crippled man in a wheelchair that desperately wanted to be useful, to save people in any way that he could. If I recall correctly, he went so far as to offer himself as a test subject to the military, which turned him down.

David was desperate to be useful. And he was, after Cauldron got to him.

He wasn't just useful, though. David was strong. He reached heights that no other parahuman could easily catch up to, not even Glaistig Uaine was technically as versatile.

And then it was gone. He wasn't strong, any more. He wasn't useful, any more. And some traumas, some issues, are just deeper than what a year of instant therapy can fix.

With his support network being Legend and Alexandria, people that were both damaged in their own ways?

David falling apart is... sadly easy to see.

Also. Imp'd by WinterPhoenix ;)

I feel conflicted about this ending for Bet. They're certainly better off than they would be with shards as a whole, but they also will never really have a chance to do better than us as a whole or on an individual level. Which is really depressing if you're aware of the state of the world here.
