They very much arent.
You're confusing extra-dimensional spaces, like pocket planes, with expanded spaces, like Alec's van, which is bigger inside than outside.
The former, they're dead, yeeted off into non-dimensional space and dying.
The latter, they just get forced into normal dimensions when it collapses, and get shoved out a door, entrance, or through a wall. If they get injured... they REGENERATE. Like in Alec's van's case, they'd get popped out the door in back, along with a lot of excess furniture.
So, they're fine.

Yeah a Hope bringer, someone that reduce problems (in the long term) and a believer in civilization AND (good) authority. with enough plot armor (read this as without the author making them suffer if they not evil enough). Yeah Worm has no way to deal with it :D

Hell, I could see him going all in bluff/diplomacy and getting the communication shard and convincing Zion to be Earth attack dog while eating other (dead) planets. or something equally odd.

xxxxx

Oh Hell/abysm/heaven/other heaven '...what are these OP souls of giant space whales' 'and where we can get more of these newborn like souls?'

Wraith King 34/40:
[snip]
Upgrade! Phantoms now have an SP Pool equal to (25%) of your own and can use Abilities at (25%) strength!
Query: Should those (25%)s not be (34%)s? And should 'phantom' be replaced with 'wraith'?
I feel conflicted about this ending for Bet. They're certainly better off than they would be with shards as a whole,
That is such a low bar to clear. Like, the bar is in Warhammer's Warp, low bar. You have to be actively trying to make the situation worse to not clear that bar when getting rid of the Shards. It is, in fact, probably harder to make the situation worse than it is to get rid of the Shards.

That's not a criticism of superhero worlds. That's saying that Zion and Eden's line of Entities plunge the planets they prey on ever deeper into progressively worse types of hell, until every human on every Earth is a parahuman and also collectively a single, pulsating, self-cannibalizing colony organism, and THEN they explode every iteration of the planet. And when a parahuman dies, an engram of their mind gets stored in their Shard, in stasis, aware, in solitary confinement, not allowed to go insane, for effectively eternity.

Kill the Entities. Even if every Earth parahumans have spread to dies in fire, it will be the most unambiguously good deed you ever do. In ratio, it would be like saving the entire galaxy by sacrificing one person to kill something that has already eaten thousands of other galaxies.

The way Alec did it here? It boggles my mind that some commenters are accusing him of killing more people as collateral than necessary. Excuse you, he went out of his way to minimize both casualties and suffering, and the deaths that did result are less 'drop in the ocean' more 'atom in the nebula'.

Toybox are screwed along with Dragon, some case 53s and edge cases like fliers or breakers who got unlucky with the timing but that's about it.

There is a good case for thinking that Dragon survived. Hear me out:
1) When loaded into a suit, Dragon is using a biological computer base in the cockpit that is more or less an overgrown brain.
2) The Regeneration spell was targeted at the seat of consciousness of the parahuman with enough juice in it to regrow organs and limbs and such.

So, Dragon wakes up, extra points for being a Chibi 5-10 year-old --since she's only been alive since around 2000 right? Armsmaster accused of grooming, film at eleven.

Similarly, all case 53s have some core brain tissue to maintain that aspect of humanity as well as being a base for their Corona and Polenta. Weld for example would crack open and regenerate from a hunk of brain meats into a real boy. Sveta would shuck off the nonhuman bits and regrow from brain to Bratz. Were there any body modifications that did not have a humanoid head of some sort? Even Crawler (had he been alive) would have reformed back in the Mark I human body from the lump of brain matter supported by the mass of alien composite tissue.

I mean with all the boosts to efficiency and power that Al carries, as long as there was a target recognizable brain bit*, and this includes anyone who could trigger but had not, they got a full-scale healing. I would easily argue that if there was a conjoined twin or two out there (cape, whether triggered or not) they would regenerate into two separate bodies.

I wonder how many preserved brain tissue samples were regenerated into full people? I mean you know there were wet Tinkers out there besides Bonesaw --possibly working for various governments.

edit: *to correct contradicting the part about Dragon since her cockpit 'puter doesn't have a Corona and Polenta. Here were virtual.

Great potential ending. Can't believe this actually continued on for so long without being interrupted. I'm amazed. It was beautiful.
Thank you for all the entertaining words!

[Improved Inventory]

Who had this power in BB?

because Terra didn't think that even a dragon would hoard that many ability points.

#FTFY :D

I thought it was only Australians that were crazy enough to make hot chocolate with boiled water instead of milk.

Hey! I represent that remark! And I know I wouldn't be doing it if heating milk wasn't such a right pain in the arse.

Though that is a good suggestion. *goes to make a nice mug of Hot Chocolate and then comes back*

similar to how there was just more and more Harry Potter fanfiction following the fifth book.

And it was almost universally better written than the 'official' versions. I read a fanfic version of book 5 that was vastly better than Joanne's tripe, (not least because it lacked Joanne's constant 'In this scene, Harry acts angry for no mentioned, explained or even hinted at reason), even with the rampant Harry/Hermione 'shipping and all the sex the kids were getting up to.

Don't you just love how Wildbow bends over backwards to justify his misanthropy?

[snark]Oh yeah, it's the BEST![/snark] :rolleyes2::mad2:

A comparatively recent example of an individual going out and touching many lives far beyond their little town/country as Wildbow likes to harp about there, is another Teresa.

If this was a relic of the tyopmonster and intended to be praise Mother Teresa, then um, yeah, about that...

I'll agree that she did touch many lives, but I really don't think it was generally to positive effect on those poor and suffering people she built her fame on top of.

Does Plot Armor make a Saving Throw?

No, it just automatically passes. :D

In which Hell did he send Scion to?

Well, I can't see either the Hell of the Upside-Down Sinners being much of a problem for golden boy, though the Hell of Being Cut To Pieces might be a novel experience for him.

Did you get explicitly stated enthusiastic consent from Hope first, Taylor? Remember, consent can't come after you do!

Thant was a beautiful chapter. Now I've got mist in my eyes.

Blasted onion-cutting ninjas get in everywhere, dratted things!:p

Chapter 101: Epilogue
Alec: Get Fucked.
Terra: rude.

But not at all unjustified, Terra!

A fine send off, for what seems to be the end of the line.

Roy Orbison had SUCH a voice, and left us far too soon.:cry::cry:

You had me tapping on that thing like a madwoman thinking it's a hyperlink

Glad I'm not the only one that thought it was a link.:rolleyes:

I Forsee Terra-tan grumbling a lot from headaches.

Be careful what you ask for, Terra-tan, Al is not only aware of the concept of malicious compliance, he's fond of it. AND you've given him plenty of reasons to employ that tactic too.

There really isn't that much difference in effort between using a kettle and pouring milk into a mug and putting it in the microwave for a minute or two and the results of the milk are far superior (just remember to fish the skin thing out).

The problem is that is Terra is capable of automating her own malicious compliance ,and that is in fact the threat that she leveled at Alchemist when this whole Adventure started: he could go along with the Worm Adventure, or Terra would make his life a living hell by way of making his system and indeed his existence that much more annoying without any effort on her part.

At this point, I think trying to escalate against Alchemist would be MUCH worse for her than the other way around. He punches upward better than any Gamer ever has, I think.

punching upward doesnt cure a curse to stub your pinkie toe every five minutes, as an example.
He could do the same to her, while accessorizing with a ring of exquisite pain (from 3e's Book of Vile Darkness) to turn pain into pleasure.

And if she gets too uppity, he can take her down after doing such to Zeus. Maybe suck her oversoul into a magic 8 ball like he wanted to do to Ziz.

Or he could take a leaf from Praes and bind her soul into a chamber pot.

I think you are letting Alchemist's victory over an Entity get to your heads, because the Terra you know is explicitly stated in story as a direct-line avatar of a much, much, much bigger existence than the entities, and Terra absolutely can choose to no-sell anything Alchemist does at his current level of power.

Zeus is easy for Alchemist to handle, as he is a fully individuated existence from the rest of his godhead. Terra is not. Zeus is playing by Exalted RPG rules. Terra is playing by Nobilis RPG rules.

Alchemists current lever over Terra is stated to be malicious compliance, because that is the only lever that can even work against Terra.

If Alchemist wants to actually get one over Terra for real, he needs to manage to operate on the same playing field as "Wisher, Theurgist, Fatalist, And The Weaver Of Their Fates RPG".

Wasn't Zeus the one that imprisoned Gaia? If he best her, and Al can best Zeus, then Al should be able to best Gaia.

Turn that on its head. Alchemist would have to be able to affect the oversoul to be capable of affecting every single avatar, and he's totally incapable of doing that.
He can affect everything connected magically, psychically, physically, and metaphysically to anything he targets with a spell or other such effect via chaining them. He absolutely can affect every instance of a being throughout the omniverse, else he couldn't have affected all of those beings through Constantine, including other versions of Constantine.

Gods aren't immune to that.

Al can totally affect gods with his magic. He's done it before, up to and including killing them.
