You could always take Al back to his original world for a bit -- id est, this Earth. Are there any games that canonically take place here?

Thanks for the chapter, great work wrapping up Worm!
So, how's Zion been doing in Hell? Meet anyone interesting down there, like one of DC's Head Demons? Etrigan?
Was that the Emotional Spectrum coming to Worm? Oh boy, that would have interesting implications about the leakage between the 2 universes.
And can someone remind me of what magic books Alec uploaded to the web?

Side note - Looks like Dragon is still alive and kicking! Great. That means she's probably the most powerful on the planet, considering she still has all of her Non-Parahuman abilities and is an AI. She could probably still make Bots and Non-Tinker Suits just off the things she was able to reverse engineer.

If chapter 100 is the final chapter will you be returning to the OG story or will you continue with some other spinoffs?

Also are the Spinoffs canon (in the sense that another alchemist got isekai'd again but not the main alchemist)

Lots of games take place "on a normal Earth", but the fact that the game is taking place means they are technically not "here" Earth. Lots of racing games take place on Normal Earth. There are also a lot of dating simulators. Find-the-object games have a habit of being set in a normal Earth when they aren't in a paranormal Earth. Hell, D&D canonically has Solspace, which is our universe, and is visited by various high-level Wizards. Specifically, they visit Ed Greenwood's farm to play D&D.

Taylor felt Hope.

You had me tapping on that thing like a madwoman thinking it's a hyperlink 🤣

I feel conflicted about this ending for Bet. They're certainly better off than they would be with shards as a whole, but they also will never really have a chance to do better than us as a whole or on an individual level. Which is really depressing if you're aware of the state of the world here.

Well at least quite a lot of students will each be as smart as the smartest in class, then going on to university... Lots of really smart people, learnt in just about every field of study there is, coming up in the following years.

So they do have a chance for a golden age of discovery and recuperation.

I get you I understand superpowers, conspiracies and world ending threats are exciting and I was once envious of these type of worlds when I was a teenager. then I realized this world we live in is a paradise to the people of those worlds because we only have to deal with other humans that is not magical or eldritch abominations like in the SCP universe.

It depends on how you weight being in a world not worth saving versus having no singular threats it needs to be saved from, I suppose. Bet is at least developing the start of magic thanks to Al, and has a wave of new talent in Taylor's and Danny's generations with however many students and cops/hospital workers/tradesmen/etc. he managed to hit with learning buffs.

I'm going to take a few days, maybe a week or so as I just re-read my own work, then get back to the main story.

Being honest? Reading the first few chapters? I barely recognize where I started at this point.

Yeah I get that feel. The latest few chapters feels like a pressure point of a whole bunch of stuff popping off without a proper relaxation.
I do wish you luck on getting back to the other story.

What I have learned about Worm through this Fic:

Worm is weird and kinda bad. It makes everything kinda bad it touches but hey it can be a fun bad sometimes! It can even be good if someone skilled can work it!

Mouse Protector is a pretty cool character.

Yeah worm is a grimdark or grimderp setting Wildbow made by taking a bunch of stuff from other settings then heavily nerfing it because he wanted a low power superhero setting with no speedsters or telepaths. It can be pretty good for fics because the whole setting is basically full of problems and bad people to be fixed or stomped. However, on the other hand it does have serious issues in that wildbow gave a ton of numbers on endbringer durability in the main story without running them or understanding what they meant and when someone worked out which property he did mean and what it meant creating a huge gap between street tier and them and then later another huge one between them and Scion.

It also began his nah uh my stuff is the bestest and strongest eva streak where he started buffing the threats and reversing statements like the justice league beats endbringers to some versions the justice league might be able to beat them at a high cost. Plus there's the issue of all the high lv villainous precogs running around along with statements like as long as a parahuman is on the opposing team Jack Slash wins even when it goes against canon.

For Mouse Protector tho I'd warn you she's basically an oc here because the only time we actually see her and not the monster Bonesaw made out of her corpse is when the first wards team got together and to put it bluntly she's pretty much a jerk and the type of class clown that does things like say a guy wants to sleep with a girl just because he's talking to her or loudly says words they think are funny before laughing at them.

I almost always enjoy iterations on Scion, The Endbringers, and Cauldron getting dunked on. This was no exception. Not a HFY stomp but more empathizing with Al as he just gets across the line.

I especially liked that even though I think he could have fought Scion he didn't need to. Very fitting for the characters involved and approach Al took. Also leaving the world with some small skills, talents, and magic was a nice touch. Humanity now faces challenges of rehab and remediation for tons of land and now Ziz-bomb-free people. The population, trade, and infrastructure should all start trending up. Tons of projects people can focus on for the betterment of people now that potential doers aren't having any hope ruthlessly strangled every 3 months.

Congrats on the completed arc! Wading characters you like through the setting is rough, even a speedrun means facing so much grimness. Thanks for writing it, completing it, and sharing it. I'm excited to see where your muse takes us next.

After that hundred chapter sidereal into Worm, thanks for finishing that btw, I foresee 2 things happening. Terra-chan is a lot more careful about suddenly yeeting Alec into new game systems on hellworlds given the fact that he's probably might annoyed with her right now and Alec will hopefully realize that things aren't as dire on DC Earth as he thought in comparison, especially with his new abilities to help him really stick it to Zeus.

Closest I know of is a Yellow Ring QAylor written by... Ryuugi? It only got a few chapters in before dying, sadly, but it was a wild ride while it went.

Edit: Yep, found it. Fear by Ryuugi over on Spacebattles. Thread is locked since it's, like, seven years old.
That story has like, the best emotional release avaliable. The story about the Hope Corgi helping Taylor gets me every time.
