@Theravis

What is the state of the Moroccoan army and that of it's southern neighbours? I can see the tech levels at the front page but I can't seem to find any information on the amount of troops each country fields.
Up to you and how much you want to spend, though the Black Guard is a thing that the Alouite dynasty should still have, so you can start with a veteran army if you want.

Oh, are we going to have an RP/story thread? I've got some stuff from last game I should clean up and post.

Templar version of The 13th Warrior needs to happen.

"After the Neanderthals killed the Grand Master, the Templars sailed away forever, impotent bitch tears rolling down their cheeks."

Works for me, IC I don't have anything for Il Papa and his cronies beyond a vague "If the shavepates hate him that much he can't be all bad."

So im a little confused on the tech lvl the tech lvls each country has now on their sheet those are what they start with correct?

Also one more and sorry for all the questions still new to grand strategy RPG and dont want to die early on. How bad is it to be know as a warmonger.

The military tab does not seem to differentiate between leg infantry, motorized, mechanized, or make any reference to cavalry unless I missed it.

True. I'll improve things a bit, probably early tomorrow.

Depends. I can't say for players, but NPC nations will be more likely to want to cut you down to size if you're consistently expansionist and threatening. And I can say last time Austria got absolutely dogpiled for starting WW1 at the end of the first game.

@Theravis

Forgot to ask this earlier but would it be possible to install a puppet government on a NPC country provided that one has conquered it in a war?

Man everyones hating on the germans. And since you just said that they started ww1 last game and im pretty sure some people here are from there im gonna go find a country thats not gonna get me kill real quick. Can i switch my country to the USE i havent heard anything bad about them yet. or did they do some horrible stuff to.

To be fair everyone dogpiled Austria for being communist and scary in general, not for starting WW1

Don't panic. Different timeline.

You can, but I wouldn't suggest it. The USE is the biggest world power, I'd like to give it to a experienced player, no offense. Prussia is probably fine too, given that they've only offended Poland.

Well there goes prussia then. anyone got any suggestions then.
If he comes back he's still been gone long enough that it's not like I'd immediately favor him for the claim.

Honestly you'll probably get Austria.
I actually advise playing a small nation.

The bigger you are, the more people will pay attention to you. Small nations can evade notice and don't have to do much heavy lifting if they get good allies.
This is good advice though. Everyone pays attention to the big nations. You can get away with quite a bit by staying beneath notice.

If you want to warmonger without getting too much in other people's way... I'd suggest one of the West African states.

Built-in casus belli and domestic support for building a West African imperial complex; a few pretty interesting plot hooks; and not too much fighting with the rest of the world.

Europe and North America can be a bit cutthroat in these sorts of games -- worthwhile if you have someone to show you the ropes a bit, but a bit of a challenge and sometimes time-consuming.
