I'ma hold off on voting until I know how many actions we actually have.

Though so far, The Man Who Showed the world mostly has my vote, but I'd probably swap out Contra War for the PETA Strut to save us money and time down the road, or The Man On Fire because we might get cool supernatural research from that.

Also, for those discussing it last page, The Lord Of Dust is a grey good nanomachine swarm, that can open wormhole's to alternate earths, and has consumed entire versions of said planet before.

If we're gunna fight it, I'd rather it be in a fully repaired Sah then a heavily damaged one, plus it's fixed for when we get to VC land just in case.

I would rather chenged beach party for one of those . In contra war we can help Chico sister and we owe him at least that .

Oooooooh yeah I forgot to ask.

@konamikode what exactly do these Omake Ops do?

Omake Ops 8.1, 8.2, 8.3: Ghost in the Machine *Repeatable*
Mission Difficulty: 1.5k words, High Quality

Reward: A song flows beautifully through the ocean air.
Like, all the other Rewards are straightforwards, more money, increased relationships, ect. This one though, 'A song flows beautifully through the ocean air', I don't understand at all.

Also, ya'll got no fucking idea how hard it is, writting a 2K Omake, about a dude who died twenty years ago, and somehow finagaling it so that Ahab somehow gets 200K down the road for his nuclear disarmament. Like trying to chain the time periods and events together is a bitch and then I somehow have to fill out enough of a will that it totals 2K words.

KILL ME.

Fuck no. We need the relationship ups for Eli and Huey, espessially Huey since The Lord of Dust and World Swap will happen because of his research, and we need the bonus moral because ours is going to go to shit after we get forced to fight a Nanobot swarm Kaiju and end up in another world with no way back.

Here I was planning to get a nice, early start for the day at 7am, get all the omakes in by 8ish and have everything set to go by the time votes opened.

Kind of a mess right now. Apologies but I'm extending the moratorium to 3PM PST to make this easier on everyone involved. Dice Coupons to be handed out shortly.

If this is about the Sokolov Omake Op, link it to Cipher. Sokolov didn't want to create WMDs, he made it clear to Zero that if he defected he wasn't going to do for the U.S. what he did for the Soviets. Zero took a very small cut from the Philosopher's Legacy to take care of Sokolov's family, and what's left gets sent to Venom because he is unknowingly achieving what Sokolov hoped for after his defection.

[] Doing One's Best to reach Tomorrow.
-[] Main Ops 3: Recover the Man on Fire
-[] Main Ops 5: Denuclearization 3 "A Glimpse of Today"
-[] Side Ops 12: An Interview with the World
-[] Main Ops 4: The Trial

The main on fire action insures all the easy routes for governments to research paranormal powers are removed from the board. The action, and interview to give the people of the world a glimpse of tomorrow. To be perfectly honest I really wanted to take the Kurdish action for thematic reasons, but the Huey action is something that needs to be done, and might serve as a useful capstone for the prologue.

Also I would advise against making plans with more action than we have due it making it difficult to discuss action prioritization, and synergy should we not earn the optimal amount of action dice.

Because Amanda is named character and with Paz already being taken this turn she might join as a Hero unit as well on top of Kaz waking up to the world.
That possibility is an attractive argument for Contra Wars... I was thinking why not that Kurdish thing, since we already stepped in for it at least once.

I really don't think touching the Contra War is a good idea, even if it is a favor. It's the definition of a No Good Side conflict, and getting the DD stuck in with that slog will just distract people from our mission, even if it's just for one turn. If we want to do a mission this turn other than Denuke, one of the Kurdish or peacekeeping missions is probably the best idea. The latter is easy good guy points, and while the former will just make the governments more pissed off (somehow), at least the moral situation is more clear cut.

We need to help Amanda she is Chico sister . We couldn't save him then at least we can save her .

And if we get the actions
-[] PMC Ops 5: Kurdish Turnaround
-[] R&D 2: Repairing Sahelanthropus

....Okay that is Creepy As Fuck. Why would we WANT that to happen?
that's not ominous at all. not in the slightest. nor is it creepy.

Edit: don't mind me I'm just using this Rocket launcher for purely recreational uses

It probably helps fix the damage done during peacewalker…. maybe

Have an insightful for an astute observation. Huey and Strangelove have an interesting chat about Peace Walker when she chooses to drown herself to stop nuclear catastrophe.

Well, we ARE a mercenary group. Don't forget that either. We have bills to pay adn we sure won'T say no to extra manpower.

Especially since more manpower means more actions too in the long run.
Then do one of the other PMC missions. Congo Peacekeeping, for instance, gives us plenty of money. Kurdish support gives us more than the Contras. The PETA strut gives us 100,000 and a free strut.

We need to help Amanda she is Chico sister . We couldn't save him then at least we can save her .

Amanda can look after herself. The Sandinstas came to an agreement to hold free elections after the Cold War and were voted out. Then they got voted back in with Daniel Ortega now making himself a quasi-dictator, again, and killing like 500 student protestors and leaving his country on the verge of civil war, again.

But anyway, basically siding with an authoritarian Soviet client-state against an American-backed popular revolt has bad synergy with Ahab's actions to date and has no chance of leaving any kind of positive legacy. Backing the Kurdish Revolution on the other hand is more straightforwardly heroic and moral and (with the prior Afghan operations) presents Diamond Dogs fighting against the superpowers on the side of the oppressed rather than being caught up in their Third World manipulations.
