Honestly the thing I'm more concerned about with Shrine maiden is that the light was coming for us? Like they would be there within that timeline?
Were we honestly meant to have a chance of fending them off?
Because by the sound of it all, trying to shrine maiden in spite of that would have just got us captured by the Light unless I am vastly overestimating their capabilities...
Which I somehow doubt.
1 week old magical girl vs. Ancient mysterious cabal with enough power to maintain a barrier around this entire dimension to keep out the demons is not exactly the fairest of fights.
So the shrine maiden never going to happen now? We really had no idea what to ask with what we got in return, there wasn't much to go on unless you want to tell us now?
Hm. Well, I guess we are going to have to start somewhere to try to prepare the world against the demon invasion in the future since the Light's barrier is breaking down bit by bit IIRC anyways.
I don't think this clocktower arrangement will be permanent. There's a lot to do imo. I'd like to go back to Forest Bro sooner or later.
The masquerade has to end sooner rather than later so that humanity can prepare. More magical girls will likely start popping up as the world deteriorates and demons start seeping in through the cracks bit by bit and Gaia prepares the ground to punt the demons back without having to act herself.
Why did Forest Bro like us enough to speak with us? Is it just the Magical Girls' connection to Gaia showing through there? Morgan made mention of the fact "they" have been trying for a while now, and never got a response.

Since I listed it as a possible route, yes, you could have done it.
It's not like they sent everything they have at you.
Just a Scout. (You could have Waifu'd her)

It's still a possibility.
But at this point I don't really see Cerys settling down to be a Shrine Maiden.
Perhaps in a few years and a dozen dead friends or so.
Even forest Bro said we should get going as fast as possible, the entire narrative then felt like nothing but run as fast as you can.... this feels like another misunderstanding which we've now lost out on big time.

Yeah that too... @Rukia you had the forest itself tell us that what was coming was bad news. Even if our own innate paranoia wouldn't have made us run that little tidbit sure as hell did.

The Shrine Maiden route was the risk taker route, so I really didn't expect you guys to actually do it.
I'm just mourning chibi little Shrine Maiden Una.
Eh I don't really regret the route we chose. Quests, especially ones like these, are quite open ended, and there's no point in dwelling too much on what would have happened if we chose another route.
Right now, we're safe, we have contacts and people (actual characters!) to talk to, and we can get an education and a place to train while being able to go all out where we don't have to worry about people chasing us down. All things considered I like the path we went down.

This Quest is completely open ended, I stated so on the first post.
If you guys eventually just give up on the way, you can retire and found a bakery to live in for the rest of your days.
The story will either end there or I'll jump to a (!SCIENCE!) Kid you had and continue from there.
Or Una, less likely.
Or, you could join the Darkness.
Or create your own faction entirely.
Or just say 'Fuck It' and go Neutral and be a Merc that fights for both sides, hang out with your Dragon Bro's.

I see no issue here.
"Does that mean best forest is wifu material?"
"Yes"
What I'm saying is that there was no counter balance to stay, no incentive to make us feel like staying would have resulted in anything else but the light coming down on us hard. Like there wasn't much of a choice but to run because that seemed like the only option to take.
Sorry for still going on about this, just... damn it.

Sadly not tonight. Maybe not tomorrow but I want to try for it.
Most of the time that I set aside for it gets either hit with an update and thus analysis of a different kind, or being asked to do something 5 minutes in.
And I am doing a read through the whole thread for it
So I wake up and you go to sleep... okay.
Let me just do the usual and leave a vote I partly stole from elsewhere
[X] Explore the base
-[X] Hang out with Morgan while you do that; maybe she can give you a tour and introduce you to whoever else is there?
--[X] Also, have breakfast once you get the chance
--[X] Apologise for making Morgan uncomfortable; you well noticed how unexpected your change in behaviour was for her during the... negotiation with Karen
--[X] Talk some magic with her; how do normal mages go about their craft? Any curriculum they teach which might help you?
[X] Go find Samantha
-[X] You actually do not have any legal documentation anymore; would the Clocktower be able to arrange something in that regard?
-[X] Ask her where we could find a swordmanship teacher to teach us
-[X] Also ask her if there are any ways for Una to receive a proper education
Asking Morgan questions is a good idea, but we have someone who was specifically tasked with taking care of these things for us.
Edit: Also, I noted down Q&A Sessions 3 in the Intel.
You do love giving me extra work, do you not?
Edit 2: Also put in a little more observation about Karen and adjusted her trust value.

Hm...
Now that I had a few minutes to think... I figured I will add a line about apologising to Morgan; she certainly did not expect Cerys to be like that during the initial encounter with Karen.
