Magical Girl Quest - The Fire That Burns

Nearly 5k chapter of combat: 18 Likes
A short chapter I wrote in an hour and a half: 19 Likes

What do you people want from me?!?
To write non-bloated combat scenes probably...

Also: Do you guys think that a moratorium is needed?

How does it interact with passive buffs (and debuffs)?
They are constantly applied at 50%

Example: Nepgear's Echo of Peace

Echo of Peace
-Presence of the ???? Core creates energy fields that reduce all hostile damage by 65% across the battlefield for Allied entities. Reduction is applied before damage calculation. Solid Core is unaffected by the damage reduction.

Instead of giving you a 65% reduction, it only gives you a 33% (32.5 rounded) Reduction.
This is the same for Debuffs.

Depends on the update.

Like the normal "a week goes by" type doesn't really need it, but combat plans might, and votes like this would have been nice.

As the quest (hopefully) gets bigger, and more people start voting, people who vote then leave thread (time constraints, having other things to do, not heavily invested, etc) grows.

Right now the vote was fine, but when people do drive by votes before discussion starts, it can sometimes screw things up when other voters notice things and one option had gained enough momentum that it isn't easily overcome.

This isn't to say, for instance that the vote to go to Germany would have been a bad one, but the amount of people who switched votes, and the fact that only one person voted for it since the possibility of France having Daiyu was pointed out whereas before it was unanimously for Germany…

It can create situations where turning around a vote can become impossible even when new information was discovered.

Though tbf people figuring things out can take more than an hour, but at least having a moratorium gives the air of "This is a vote important enough that we need to discuss".

Welp, I am convinced.
If a vote is important enough, or is a battle plan, I will have a one hour moratorium after the chapter is uploaded.

Come on, what else are we supposed to expect? Not to speak of the narrative, but it is bad design to have one climactic fight after the other without some breathing room and I think you are a good enough writer to not go for "100k words full of battles".
Besides, your fight scenes are not really bloated (I just forgot to like some chapters, that happens when I am in the process of thinking about what to do). Some things just take a little longer.

Am open to Q&A so long as it's not directly related to any of the missions you are choosing.
...why do you do this every time I am not here?

(poor PtV girl, at least she died happy)
I called dibs on that joke many pages ago.

Does this count for our innate buffs as well, such as Reinforcement?

As for other questions, what is the Light up to right now?

@Rukia I was wondering how high the skill rating goes for our different martial skills unarmed, and sword for example. And what would we be capable of doing at higher levels. Also how strong would we be if we raised all of our current abilities, and spells to level 20?

It doesn't effect your own internal magic.
And there is a character that isn't effected by Hungering Void by design.

Frantically trying to fix shit.

Skills go: Barely Competent -> Competent -> Skilled -> Master Skill -> Inhuman Skill -> Unmatched Skill
Higher levels give you the ability to negate attacks for APT.
Also, more soft stat stuff like being better with a sword or having better control over your magic.

On the front page, your abilities/spells scaling is listed.
Sword and armour scale at x1.3 per level.
Spells scale at x1.2 per level apart from Push.

Maybe Daiyu because she was designed as Cerys' partner. Wild guessing will not really bring us the answer and you will not tell us, though.

How far has the barrier deteriorated so far?
And what happened to the guy that rolled a nat 100 a few hundred pages back?
*Doing Background Rolls when suddenly!
1D100 => 100

Through Action: A man becomes a hero.
Through Death: A hero becomes a legend.
Through Time: A legend becomes a myth.
And by learning from the myth, a man takes action.
This one.

Why can't I hold all of these spoilers

It was worth a try.

Which one was your personal favourite moment in this Quest so far? Not just within the story, but in the thread as a whole.
Additionally, how many people in the Clocktower think that Morgan and Cerys are a couple at this point?

Oh boy... Quite possibly HEART

Less than you'd think.
But more than zero

Ah, now I remember. Yes, that was a really good chapter.

Hm... we know that Daiyu's English is acceptable... how is her sister's?
And what have those two been doing since they arrived in Europe?

is Morgan the only instance of her "side project", or are there others like her?

How many questions do you think we can come up with before running out? :V

What was Gaia thinking when she gave that other girl PtV? (As in "Who would have thought that to be a good idea?")

[X] Concentrated Horror - The situation in Germany is deteriorating, it needs to be dealt with soon

[X] EXP Plan: Hunger
-[X] Alpha and Omega: Hungering Void (485 xp)
