Magical Girl Quest - The Fire That Burns

Regarding Hungering Void While the ability is very good it has one downside which makes me hesitate.
It requires Alfa & Omega to be active. So no Ignition Aura and it sends a big signal.
Now doing it again might not have the costs the first use had but we might want to be careful.

An alternative plan would be Leveling Infinity Edge to L10.
Besides the massive damage it gives one extra action & the L10 bonus.

Look, the main point is not that we want to grow as strong as possible right now; there is no need, seeing that we have a lot of time.
Currently, we are spending EXP on the things we can not get otherwise, such as Shop-Items and Armoured Soul. I got people to spend a bit on the low-level spells because it was still cheap and a good idea at the time, but no one will bother throwing out so much of it for a few levels we can get just as well from those missions.

Besides, we can use Alpha and Omega just like Ignition Aura, as a shield right above our skin; with The Hungering Void, it would actually catch quite a bit of spell-damage we would otherwise be forced to take to the face and prevent debuffs from staying on us. Perfect for fighting spellcasters.

I appreciate the trouble you went through for that spreadsheet, but... right now, we do not want to spend all our EXP. Once this large-scale project is over, there will be a longer stretch of nothing/little happening and we could not buy any new Shop-Items if we used up everything beforehand.

Can you explain this more?
"I got sent over to America because one of our long range sensors noticed a big flare over there, which was you." She sighs again, deeper. "We're going to need to station a couple of people state-side to make sure it stays on the down-low, they probably already have the body and eughhh. This is going to be such a massive fucking clean-up, glad it's not me."

You are nearly at the building now, only a dozen metres or so as she continues. "With that big'ol clusterfuck in China they aren't going to be any help, Japanese've said they got it in hand, the magical side at least, god knows how the fighting is going to go." Samantha takes the moment to intervene. "Recent reports have stated that there might have been a similar magical event there, but their long range sensors couldn't make it out through the general fighting. They are certain that there wasn't another Demon emergence though, we've been watching the Barrier closely." Similar?

"Another Magical Girl maybe?" They both turn to look at you, Morgan from where she was just reaching for the door. They are silent for a little while as they think.
From when you started?
About the same.

Long range sensing isn't a precise art.
Because once is a coincidence. Twice is a pattern. Did I get that saying right? :V

I doubt she is currently powerleveling like us, so she is most likely around the same level as when we first started.

Oh darn.

On one hand, I really want to see Daiyu. On the other, I'm not sure the France option is a guarantee for meeting her.

Then there's Germany, which is in a tighter situation and Enforcers are disappearing.

If we go to France, it turns out to be Daiyu, and she joins us in our efforts that'd be awesome and boost our fighting strength. If it isn't, then we'd likely either have to fight or negotiate with a strong being that might or might not be hostile but not likely to help our operation.

If we go to Germany, we can deal with this Concentration Camp problem and be done with the instability there.

Argh I can't decide.

Some back up would be nice for Germny, back up that can last as long as us..Or longer than the Enforcers anyway.

She was able to sense us from a long distance. Before leaving England, we can always flare our whole power to attract her there.

We would have to make sure our superior is alright with us doing this though. :p

Also a note from an earlier conversation in thread:

Since we're currently being power leveled, isn't Daiyu going to be much weaker than us when we finally meet her?

Daiyu hasn't got the chance to be power leveled like we did, it is likely that she is still around the strength we were before that started making this:

From when you started?
About the same.

As well as the fact that Daiyu's location being in Europe South of England a very strong possibility of it being Daiyu.

The German situation will only get worse as time goes by, yes, but on the other hand, not getting Daiyu means isn't there to help.

And Daiyu's location isn't guarrenteed to remain the same with her already having planned to leave.

If we miss her then we might lack her help completely through this as she heads to England or feels us fight somewhere else and heads there instead.

And for it not only will everything else be harder, but Daiyu will remained unpower-leveled for every event we do without her.

If France does lead to her, getting her first both gives us a strong ally and allows that ally to grow stronger easier than if done later.

Am open to Q&A so long as it's not directly related to any of the missions you are choosing.
What are your thoughts on our... combat ability I guess? I mean all these fights have been winnable but I don't anyone saw the outcome against the wolf. So just what do you think about it in general?

Team up!

The Light was chasing us back in America. Who said Daiyu isn't in the same boat?

And if it is her, she gave them a new lead. :o

Then, let's go.

As of now, what kind of reputation has Cerys gained through the last ops with the various organizations like the Clocktower, the UK and the rest of those that know of her?
How was the situation with the village dealt with?

You've had a couple of close scrapes when it comes to how fights go.
TBH, I am mildly disappointed that you simply froze the whole base over, there was some !Fun! goodies in there.

Every fight so far was made to be winnable, but also highly possible to lose.
If the Enforcers had decided that you didn't need the help while you were trapped...
It probably would have ended badly for you.

The Wolf was going to be a !Fun! fight, with her jumping all over and being a general sneaky speed demon.
The I wrote the chapter and combined Flying with Cerys rolling high on how many magical projectiles she can control.

How was the situation with the village dealt with?
For the first: "Fuck me she's scary!"

The second?
It was a small village, phone camera's aren't a thing yet and only a few people actually saw anything.
They were quietly convinced to keep mum for the good of the world.

The xp from the Scrants has been halved. Does that mean that once we know what something can do and have killed at least 1 specimen of a species, the reward for killing them will also be halved?
It's because you didn't actually fight them.
You just sat nearby and watched them freeze to death.
That doesn't really give you much combat experience.

I was actually going to make it even lower, seeing as you didn't do much, but I thought that would be a little too harsh.

@Rukia Do you think you could put a small moratorium (1 hour?) on the following updates? To avoid people voting before there is any discussion.

If the Enforcers had decided that you didn't need the help while you were trapped...
It probably would have ended badly for you.
To be fair, Cerys would have deserved it. I mean, attacking a slime in melee range isn't the smartest thing to do.

Nargh

Alright, if the thing in France is Daiyu that's excellent and we've met up with the remainder of our team (poor PtV girl, at least she died happy), which gives us some more options assuming we can convince her to join the Clocktower, which is likely

If it's not her then we still get to go investigate something interesting and possibly make an ally

Either way we can deal with Germany afterwards
