By the way, in the Deathwatch Rulebooks, Librarians from founding chapters get signature spells e.g. that Salamander firebreath spell and Raven guard cloud of "ravens", since we are technically a founding chapter, will our Librarian also get a signature spell? Like a howl of the downed which freezes foes in terror?
Regarding our Librarian getting a "signature spell" I'm pretty sure that it's a common thing for a Chapter's Librarius to have an overall unique discipline, not just having a one-off special power and everything else being generic. Whether our first Librarian will be able to create that discipline or not is another matter of course. Unique disciplines tend to be based around the Chapter's theme, so odds are that ours, if we get one, will predominantly feature the Mist, shadows, portents of the future, and fear.
Things are calm in the Fortress Monastery. News has arrived that the Damocles Gulf Crusade had concluded and that the forces there are being rerouted to other fronts. The psyker neophyte, Grigori Yefimovich, has been sent to the nearest Deathwatch Fortress, located in the Perrie Sector. While there may be only war across the stars, at least there is peace and tranquility in your Fortress Monastery. You´ve just finished a meeting with your Chapter´s officers when Numerian, your Master of the Marches, speaks up.
"Chapter Master, I have a question about our combat doctrine."You´re somewhat surprised that he´s asking this now, instead of back when the first deployments started, but you suppose that people don´t choose when curiosity appears. "Ask away Marcus."
"Why does our doctrine focus so much on fear?" Myrok and Karark Zel disguise it well, but they freeze slightly at the question. Valzadai is less discrete, hand reaching slowly for his bolt pistol before you put a stop to it with a glance before the others notice it. "I don´t have any complains about discretion and concealment…"
"Unlike Constantinus" Chimes in Gallienus lightly. The captain of the 7th fixes him with an expression of mock offense.
"EXCUSE ME?! I AM THE PINNACLE OF SUBTLETY!!!" Some of the officers laugh at the by-play, the majority of the rest, including yourself, smile in amusement.
"...As I was saying, "Continues Numerian, annoyed at the interruption. "Stealth is expected, after all it is the preferred method of our line and Primarch, but the focus in terrorizing our foes seems…. superfluous, so to speak. Why spend time and effort frightening them when we could just kill them and be done with it?"
All look at you expectantly, your fellow companions in the VIIIth legion with concealed tension, your other officers and those of the Honor Guard inside with curiosity. Luckily you have anticipated that someone would eventually question it.
"That is a reasonable inquiry." You start , drawing some surprised looks from the Nostramans. "Have you heard the expression "Life is the Emperor´s currency."?"
Paulos doesn´t seem to expect you answering his question with another question. "I have, Chapter Master."
You nod. "As a matter of fact, I agree with that quote. So much so in fact, that I consider it important to spent as few lives as possible. Take, for example, Catilina´s suppression of the revolt in Illiberis." The Captain of the 6th smiles widely at your mention of him. "If he just killed the governor, morale wouldn´t have plummeted and the rebellion would have carried out for longer. Also the new governor could have rebellious thoughts down the line. With the torture of the previous governor both the population and the new governor are kept in line without us spending more time or lives in the planet."
The marines present listen with interest. "And what about foes that won´t or that we cannot accept surrender?" Asks Pluvia.
You lean on the table, the intensity in your voice more evident with every word, despite your voice remaining level. "For them, terror is the greatest weapon we can wield. The capability for fear is inherent to every being with rational thought. They might not panic, flee or freeze, but if they have something or want it then they dread their loss. A scared enemy doesn't rest, for they see dangers in every dark corners. It loses all initiative, as doubts take a hold on their hearts and grips them tightly. The trust in their leaders , their companions and their subordinates wavers, for even the most abundant numbers fail to give them the illusion of safety." Now they seem enraptured by your words, fascinated by the image that you conjure in their mind. "But the greatest effect it has is how it distorts their perception of you. As stress and tension mounts in their minds, they start to give you a strength and power you dont have. Squads turn into companies, you are everywhere at every time, everything that goes wrong can be traced back to you, every action they take is predicted and leads them into a trap. And while they chase at shadows and illusions you strike them down, and the fear you cause with every kill feeds that cycle, until they are reduced to corpses with rictus of horror."
You finish your words and evaluate their reactions. All of them, regardless of experience or temperament, have a current of excitement and anticipation, which shows in vicious smiles and the drumming of fingers against the metallic surface of the table. It is there, you reflect, that all of you are sons of the same Primarch, despite your different times and places of birth.
"However, while fear is an effective tool it is only that, my brothers." You carry on , determined to curb the seed of sadism that so easily bloomed in the legion. "A tool, and like any tool it must be used precisely. One must not be dependent on it, and it must be applied in the measure that is needed. Fear is the way we bring retribution on the Emperor´s foes, not our way or life, not our purpose. Does this answer your questions, Pluvia, Numerian?"
"It does Chapter Master." Responds Numerian and Pluvia nods his assent.
"Then this meeting is at it´s end, unless any of you have any more inquiries?" No one answers. "Dismissed then."
All of the officers left, thoughtful expressions on their vissages. Myrok gives you a respectful look, while Karark Zel takes a moment to clap your back before returning to the Forge. You move back towards your office, your Honor Guard trailing behind you and a myriad of thoughts in your head.

-[] Orellana´s Savagery: Reports from the Voidborn station in orbit of the planet indicate that most of the native tribes have fallen to chaos worship. All stalker attempts at slaying it have failed. A small number of marines could hunt the beast down. (Note: Deployments in your homeworld ignore deployment restriction number 4) –[] Write-in Dispatch Force:
QM Notes: In a shocking twist, turns out that by later today I meant an hour later. In other news, Im going to accompany every update with an excerpt of Guide of Planets of the Aetelian Sector. This update excerpt will be either Smilnay or Milan, and will drop later today (But not in the next hour.)
Huh, well that was unexpected, in that case probably one action slot for weapons and Ballistic skills as last time then? I don't really know about deployment or the like, but probably continuing to understand the segmentum and meet up with the faction heads of the local sector, might be a good idea to continue on doing? Besides that, taking a further look at our geneseed and investigating methods of dealing with the Mist's in some fashion would be a nice thought.

I think we can only do three Production things, but i can add if i'm wrong, as for the Master of Sanctity, well i guess we could look for one, but which other option should I drop for it
The Forgemaster can do 3 different things, then the baby techies can do 1. Imma just check bc I don't remember if they finished yet
EDIT - We finished basic training them, but they have to go to Mars for the fancy stuff and indoctrination, so we get them back at the start of turn 5, so ur right in that we only get 3 picks right now. I think you can fit in a 5th suit of power armour for 10 of the 15 points

Okay, this is my go at a plan. Meeting up with the chapter masters is good, getting a master of sanctity is also good. Knowing more about the deathwatch is obvious, what with us sending out psyker to them, continuing to train our PDF is smart (I find it funny how we're avoiding making the standards, kinda fitting for a more practical chapter). As for production, I love me some Land Speeders, and the best part about them is that we can launch them midair from our flyers and glide them down extremely quickly. Their armament is no joke. Dreadnoughts are also a must, since we're inevitably going to take those kinds of causalities, and our flying vehicles support dreadnoughts extremely well. The power sword is what I used the leftover points. Otherwise, studying the mist/fauna seems smart with our expedition to hunt that Great Devourer, and continuing training in ballistics/weapon skill is important. The deployment is fairly similar to @SteelWriter77 's, but he's missing a lot of our equipment, So I figured I'd adjust it and add in a bunch more vehicles and firepower. I'm also a big fan of giving our prototype armour to those going against the eldar, they'll need it, bless their hearts.
