Herald of the Omnissiah (Potential Foe)
"Herald of The Omnissiah" (Chaos Knight)

(Dark Magos Forron-Theta-8888 PoV)

I walk through halls of Forge, with acolytes of Undivided Omnissiah behind, eight of them in number.

Each of them has eight slaves with him, necessary sacrifice to satisfy bloodlust of Holy Machine.

When I enter hall containing it, I see that "conversion procedure" was successful. What was once protector serving blind fools and pathetic wretches, is now loyal servant of True Omnissiah, thanks to careful exposure to Warp and Scrap-code.

-"Begin Ritual of Reactivation"- I said, after my acolytes finished herding sacrificial slaves on double Octagon around Chaos Knight.

Then, I began to chant "Prayer of Awakening":

Awaken, oh plasma generator, and pump thine blood of fire. Awaken, oh cannons, oh rockets, oh blades and fists, and prepare to kill. Awaken, oh ion shield, and muster thine scornful defiance. Awaken, oh Throne Mechanicum, the time for slaughter has come.

When I was chanting, my acolytes were slitting throats of sacrifices in carefully calculated moments, because even one mistake during Ritual might result in Knight going rampage.

-"Why I shouldn't just squash you like a bug you are?!"- Holy Servant of True Omnissiah boomed from its vox-horn.

-"Every Knight needs servants to prosper. You will need someone to provide you repairs and transport. I volunteer myself, my acolytes and my Hell-Forge, Herald of True Omnissiah"- I said after kneeling. My acolytes knelt too, accompanied by blood of dead slaves seemingly being absorbed into Knight's frame.

Herald of The True Omnissiah made a move with it's "head" that was reminiscien of nod, then boomed from vox-horn

-"I accept you, your acolytes and your Hell-Forge as my servants!"-

Btw, what do you think about my writing of "PoV character" (Dark Magos Forron-Theta-8888)?

It´s fine. The excerpt is too short for me to give you a more detail opinion, but it gets the point across.
Out of curiosity, how does our contemptor dreadnaught fair against an armigear 1 v 1, or against the medium class of knight?

Is there anything stopping us from making an upscaled version of the Contemptor that's knight sized? It's still technically legal since it's only upscale.

Planetary orbital defense laser are just upscaled lasguns. It should be fiiiine.

The Leviathan dreadnaught is the upscaled contemptor

Then what are we waiting for!? We need something to 1 v 1 a knight pronto!
There are a few problems with that first the levithan like most other great crusade tech has been lost with only a few of the dreadnaughts around as relics and two the like the redempotr dreadnaught the leviathan had a tendence to burn out its pilots

2 reasons:
1. Leviathan is squarely in the Lost tech realm. It was rare even in 30k and in 40k it would take a miracle for us to even get one.
2. Leviathan kills the pilot. Not immediately, obviously, but over time driving it is straight up lethal as opposed to tiring.

Damn. Would it be possible to reduce the drain from the Leviathan? Maybe put in additional cogitators, or clones Astares brains to be turned into servoskulls to lessen the strain on the pilot?

It was introduced to the legions in the middle/late days of the Heresy, meaning Zel would have zero idea that it even exists and the handfull of people that still have one in M41 will not share it with anyone.

And the cloned astartes brains idea is a Fabius Bile level heresy

We have no idea, it's lost tech.
Damn. Someone should make an omake about Leviathan Dreadnaughts then. I sure as shit wouldn't know where to start.

Heresy? Damn man. Well what about cloned servitor brains augmented with cogitators? There's gotta be something we can do to reduce the strain on tombed ancients. Maybe improved entombment comforts? Installed VR simulations to make the dreadnaught feel like he's normal again?

So I just checked. Armigears are about 20-25ft in height. Leviathans would be 24.6ft.

Thallax

The Thallax, Thallax Cohort or Thallaxii were heavily augmented cyborg shock-troops utilised by the Ordo Reductor faction of the ancient Mechanicum during the Great Crusade and Horus Heresy eras in the late 30th and early 31st Millennia. The Thallaxii differed from the standard Skitarii...
You guys remember the Thallax right? Full Body Replacement that only leaves your skull and brain? Maybe your spine, eyes, and a few organs? Those things usually drive their user's insane because of all the excess sensory inputs installed into them. I think if we could get some for ourselves our marines should have an easier time using them, since they're built DIFFERENT.

But uh yeah my point being. Gotta find a way to reduce strain on the marines when we put them in the machines. AAANNND if we ever get a Leviathan, maybe we should consider putting like, two or three marines in one leviathan at a time, but reduce the space they would take up by just keeping them as skulls. As an trade off we could just. Like. Fucking install Virtual Reality systems into their heads so they don't have to deal with their bullshit bodilessness if they accidentally wake up and someone forgets to put them back to sleep.

Or like. Really what's stopping us from pulling a Wolfensteign 2? Just render them down to heads, then attach their bodies to cloned bodies. Then when it's go time for combat they remove their skulls from their Fully Body Flesh Prosthetics and put themselves back into the leviathan?

edit: just throwing this out there. The Thrallax is cool as fuck in my opinion, but I always forget it's name which takes be like five minutes to find the link to it's wiki page again.

IEC Dragoon

The Dragoon is a Full Body Conversion manufactured by International Electric Corporation in Cyberpunk 2020. The modern battlefield sees many impressive weapons—remote-controlled drones, STOVL stealth fighters, minitanks, combat bikes, anti-tank vehicles, power-assisted infantry armor, and...
Do you think the Imperium has something like this? In Cyberpunk full body cyborgs have this thing called a Bi-pod. It pretty much renders you down to your brain and spin, or just the brain, but as a trade off you can be plus-in-played into different FBR's seamlessly for quick and easy changes into different bodies. Maybe we could do the same for Dreadnaughts?

What I really hate about the errant Crusade plan is that we are again ignoring getting a bulk buying of vehicles for the upcoming campaign

This is Bull this our last chance to do it after this we just have to do with our meager arsenal people

We have to invade and take out 3 bloody worlds that had 3 mil to Fortify we need heavy vehicles to break through defences and to support our marines in the fight
