Okay, so, at least where I am from, the youtube link to Professor McPhee's lecture on the French Revolution has been lost, so I will offer an alternate source to his lectures if yours was also cut off.

You know since we are putting Robspierre amd his cronies on trial, I just hope he doesn't pull a hitler and somehow convince everyone in the courtroom that we are traitors to the revolution like hitler(this happened when he failed the beer hall putch and was arrested and tried on court) blamed germanies problems on the traitorous germans who signed the treaty of versailles.

Note:sorry for any typo mistakes I am typing on my phone.

Ah, the smell of omakes in the morning! +100 to you as a welcome back bonu--
"Wait, no! Don't sing!"
Okay that's a tad rude, gonna take 90 points for that. Enjoy your +10 points, critic of the musically-challenged :V
My +20 is added for Brian, if that's allowed.
Yes, allowed.
@SzechuanSauce you still putting 50 for Rob or changing it to a fair trial?
Tbf, this wouldn't be the first time that a European warlord went through the middle east and Persia to conquer far eastern nations. Though it didn't end too well for Alexander...

[X] [Rob] Imprisonment: Criminals are to be imprisoned, and Robespierre is no different. He shall be imprisoned by the state, to live and see the growth of the republic, without his influence. Keep your enemies close, as it were.

...

I am deeply confused still.

I don't wanna see Brian get accused of being a traitor, or something, nor to get Therese killed. I think everyone here's the same.

So, why...?

(Aside from 'why not' and 'because I wanted', of course.)

Well, for a more serious reason, because I am against military coups in any shape or form (Yes I realize I contributed an absurd amount of points to making sure it went well, my opinion kinda switched over the hiatus.) And cause there doesn't seem to have been any consequences for the things we've done in the quest, might as well make sure its a big consequence.

Just wondering, but what kind of consequence are you looking for? Trial ends in Robby's favor and Nappy and Brian are executed for treason? Or more like the people are angered/convinced by Robby that the coup was unjustified and revolt?

Any consequences actually, we've been doing so much questionable stuff that I'm surprised didn't get us thrown in a prison cell and sent to a revolutionary tribunal or at least have spies sent to watch us.

I don't follow, to be honest.

We have been very lucky on the consequences front, yes, but reading the other updates, there's been certainly a lot of consequences to our actions.

Napoleon, the kids, Rob would have knocked in our door if Brian hadn't acted, we got injured and even agravated those injuries.
We have a rival that holds a decent chance of killing us if he gets the chance, and Therese's most certainly not welcome in a lot of circles right now.
If you're talking about long-term consequences, you gotta thank the dice for that.

That we are getting off lighty for now, doesn't mean that it will be so forever.

As for spies...

Did they get WoG-ed at some point? Because the idea of an spy/infiltrator is that they are not discovered. I dunno.

And, well, the world is kinda on it's head thanks to the rolls, so...

Give it time. I'm not saying that you should retract your points, just that is not a good idea trying to press for stuff to happen like that.

You get a lot of animosity going on like that.

I mean we are literally in the same unit as Saint Just. And even then we are both a War-Hero and a decent general which gives us a lot of leeway. And not gonna lie I'd take Rob biting it over losing one of the best generals France has historically had. And what do you think we're gonna get out of this scot-free? If Rob makes it through and stays in power they're absolutely gonna double down on the Terror and Therese and the kids are absolutely gonna be first on the chopping block. Democracy made it through in OTL in spite of and without Rob.

Er... forgive me since I'm not well versed in early French Revolutionary history but did anything of the like happen OTL? Because as far as I know, there weren't that many negative effects for the coup since most people supported it since the Reign of Terror wasn't exactly a good time but I could be wrong. Like, I know there were a few loyalists but I don't think things would go horrifically wrong to the point of something like that due to the amount of support.

Unless you mean for specifically Therese herself, for which I can't say much

Might as well put my two cents in, honestly I don't feel we should boost either Brian or Rob, let's leave this up to the dice entirely, it's kinda why we voted for the trial in the first place.

So guys you know when the war is over I want to Industrialized france to a more stable nation also if America is having problems try to extend a hand on trying to help them

Well, that's both a bit of a far off goal (since Therese, unless she's Empress or Consul or some civilian leadership with training, doesn't exactly have the best stewardship and position to industrialize an entire nation) and far off in general (the war is far from over) but I can share the sentiment

This is a cool quest, was fun catching up.

Just one question: where is François-Noel Babeuf and why are we not friends with him yet?
Welcome! Partake in the cheese while you wait :3
There's a lot of characters in this series, and not every single moment is portrayed in the updates, so we'll see if there'll be others joining in the spotlight!
That's the good thing about spies, the good ones aren't noticed, and the bad ones are dead!
