It probably hurts his soul that such trash is so popular.

Brian: "but why? It is objectively garbage. This is scientific fact! I DON'T UNDERSTAND!"
Therese: WEll people like Trash, like they like Monarchy. Unironically. Maybe we can change that with actual good literiture.

You know, we can always redeem ourselves in the eyes of our bother and the future Scholars of literature and be pioneers writing a truly great fantasy novel (I would suggest writing a novel inspired by the Journey of the Nameless one from Planescape Torment)

Or we can keep pumping out more trash and popularize the Horny Vampires 100 years before Dracula and 200 years before Twilight.

You know something hilarious I thought of...

It's quite likely with it's impact that in the future, literature classes/courses will teach it alongside books such as Frankenstein and Pride and Prejudice (presuming they exist ITTL) as an example of great Napoleonic era literature. :V

Well next turn if you decide to write a novel... we can get deeper

Proboly.

or we inspire Alexandre Dumas... and make his literary career better.

How can we make the literary career of the most popular French Novelist of all time better?

This is a genuine question, I am curious.
He decides to write Pulp Fantasy or Sword and shot Fiction with his godmother, the Empress?

And picks up even more experience and can write novels with a speed that not even he had?

So we will turn Edmond Dantes in Gautier le Barbare, as we follow him in his quest of hunting down the Aristocrats who took the love of his life away from him with the help of his band of misfits?
Or you know. something like that?

Or he decides to write a Fantasy of a new world?

The opportunity is endless, especially if he has his father teaching him the lessons that he never got IRL.

That was utterly depraved... sooo the the bizarre life of Brianino net turn? Or the disney-esque crazy sit-com of Severin? Therese needs a hobby tbh.

You… Why do the Austrians love this book?

HOW!? And why?
I blame this for eating the Food Preservation roll, it's crazy how the French haven't figured it out yet with the fortune Therese has spent on it.

That was all that you could get out of Russia.
Intrigue battle between Nap and Alexander? Things to keep in mind.

Brian was not amused with the finished product. "I didn't know I taught my sister how to write to use it to write this kind of… literature?"
;_;
Impossible. Yet every book store sold out when it was in stock.
Thank god this isn't the best selling of all time, even with the rolls. The bonus really saved it, but it's still a nat 1.

Problem with High Fantasy is the young demographic and literacy isn't standardized yet. High Fantasy is also a multi-volume commitment cause the immersion aspect, also don't think novels are the best format for it. Therese is a scout and that's pretty nice because of the "strange lands" commonly seen in it. Don't know anything about the series mentioned though and heavily generalized the genre, so I'm probably wrong.

technically the adventure Genre really took off after the Napoleonic Wars, and the beginning of standardized education across the western world.

And considering that, we can possibly begin standardization of French Ciriculumn next turn with Brian's help?

The Fantasy Genre can take off decades early, especially if she creates a world that is as rich as LOTR.

Didn't know it took off so soon in the OTL. Standardized education would be a big deal for emerging genres in general. Probably shouldn't start any series soon though.
I meant something like the Serials like the Count of Monte Cristo, and such.

They started as magazine chapters or serials in the 1830's and beyond.

I wonder if when writing a high fantasy series, it would be possible to wargame out some of the big background events. Therese has some cartography skills right? Put them to use, draw a big map, wargame out the big background events.

And record the exact moves for if she ever decides to flesh out and expand things.

Fate: Marshal Severin (AvidFicReader)
I decided to do it based on Magoose's Therese sheet:
Name: Denis Martin Severin
Class: Berserker
Alignment: Lawful Neutral
Titles: The Soldiers' Champion, The Empress' Right Hand, The Empress' Attack Dog, Marshal Baguette

Stats:
STR: B
END: A-
AGI: B-
MANA: A
LCK: A

Class Skills:
Magic Resistance EX: As he comes from a world never touched by gods or magic, he is a void to all but the strongest of magics, such as Divine or True Magic. This includes contracts, area attacks, and Weak Noble Phantasms

Mad Enhancement D: In life he thrived in the blood and chaos of the battlefield, but was renowned for his organization and command, especially his unmatched skill with infantry. He receives a minor boost in power, though he retains most of his sanity and is capable of conversation.

Personal Skills:
Berserk B: A composite Skill of the Valor Skill and Mad Enhancement Skill, negating mental interference such as intimidation, confusion and fascination, and increasing melee damage. Simultaneously, when using this Skill, he turns into a beast that fights with his instincts.

Instinct B: The ability to always "feel" the most suitable development for oneself during combat. By being summoned as a Berserker, he may slightly disregard his intuitions.

Battle Continuation B: One does not know when to give up even to the very end. In life, he survived being shot and stabbed countless times, even surviving an exploding cannonball.

Noble Phantasms:
The Minci Sword Anti-Unit C: A well-made, if old-fashioned broadsword. A weapon seized on the battlefield from the dying grasp of a foe at Messina. A weapon held in trust until it's rightful owner is deemed ready.

That One Marshal's Baton Anti-Unit B: A baton of a Marshal of France, it is immediately recognizable due to being fitted with a masterwork axe head. Although he is the only one capable of wielding it in battle, legend has it the baton was briefly stolen and used against him by an unknown assailant.

Garde Mayence - Anti-Army B-: Severin commanded various formations across multiple fronts, but his first true battle and taste of command was at Mainz. Across the length and breadth of Italy, he commanded those same men, addressing and acknowledging them as the Guard of Mainz. Then, as a Marshal of France and commander of II Corps of the Empire, his corps was also known by that name, hearkening back to the finest soldiering tradition he had imbued upon the men of the Army of the Rhine. They heed his command even in another world.

Logic of Earth - Thaumaturgical Void: Anti-Thaumaturgy Noble Phantasm: EX As a man from a world with no magic or religion, the existence of such is an impossibility to her mind. Thus, through the Grail's power, this logic is temporarily imposed on the world around him, sometimes unconsciously. As he becomes more familiar with his other noble Phastasms and magic, this Phantasm will degrade in effectiveness until eventually becoming unusable.

Dialogue:
Summon: I am Denis Severin, of the berserker class. If the Lord has called me to serve in his heavenly host, then I am ready.

Leveling
Level Up: One must drill relentlessly to see improvement.
Ascension 1: My blade is sharper than ever. All the better to cut down those Prussian scum.
Ascension 2: Ah, my baton is here. I'll not have it taken from me again.
Ascension 3: My men... they march at my call.
Ascension 4: Vive La France! First, Forever and Always!

Battle
Start 1: Witness the soldiering tradition that has been passed down the Severin line through the generations!
Start 2: HAHAHAHA! You shall all fall before me!
Skill 1: The line will hold! It shall not waver!
Skill 2: Sound Pas de Charge!
Attack Select 1: I'll send you to meet the Lord!
Attack Select 2: No onions for you!
Attack Select 3: I shall enjoy this!
Noble Phantasm Select: Form up! Advance!
Damage: GAHH!
NP Damage: MERDE!
Defeat 1: The Heavenly Father calls upon me now...
Defeat 2: Death comes for us all.
Finish 1: VIVE LA FRANCE!
Finish 2: France first, forever, and always.

Birthday: Happy birthday? Let me sing you the song of my people!

I based Berserker!Severin on Berserker Beowulf, particularly his skills and the way mad enhancement affects him.

Denis is slowly becoming Best Boy in this Anime and I do not know how to feel about it.

I love it though.

Ah.

Thing is, @Magoose has already done a Fate-Sheet for Therese. And I don't know enough about the Franchise to make one anyway. Sorry.
