You mean the Poles? I've read some stories where Napoleon tossing them under the bus, or their revolt getting crushed actually made peace much easier as the Polish question quickly became a huge sticking point between France and Russia.

Nah, I was thinking about Hungary. I'm well aware of Polish questions after all. Generally them and German/Italian republics if possible . Netherlands don't really make much difference in grand scheme after all, especially since we are at war footing and are already souring our relationship with them.

Plus we must think about the future and i do want us to be top dog on the continent as much as it's possible.

We have to be careful how we dismember the Habsburgs though. One wrong move and we'll have thousands of refugees filing out of Galicia.

I'm thinking of otl Hungary in Austro-Hungary, independent Bohemia/czech republic , some sort of Austrian republic, possible Dalmatia to italy to sweeten the alliance.

I'm willing to sign Galicia to Russia if it means good peace .

Are you guys sure your plans to partition the Habsburg isn't gonna turn into the Peninsular War but out in the east? I'm not even sure if the majority of the people would support it as, to quote Robespierre, "No one likes armed missionaries." First thing they would probably do is resist a state that was forced on to them by the tip of a bayonet.

I mean, Napoleon thought overthrowing the Bourbons in Spain and installing his brother was a good idea, but it did not turn out the way he thought it would.

Hmm, that does make sense, but then again we must eliminate the threat....

Him about Italian republic and confederation of Rhine, now German republic . It gives us two allie's while effectively dividing Germany into three parts to stop any future ideas.

I'm fine either way really .

Comparing a potential dismemberment of the Habsburg empire to the shit fest that was the peninsular war is not accurate. The French and Napoleon made every politically wrong choice they could in Spain. It didn't help that the Spanish viewed the French as Atheist Invaders and Looters (which they kinda were).

Divide Germany amongst religious lines. Protestant North and the Catholic South. We can have the Rhine as a treat.

Then again , Hungarians tried to get the state before, not to mention many other nationalities, not all will be happy but those that get states will be in our club .

Good idea.

I mean problem probably lies in installing his brother part. For example even if we don't go with the Republic we can install someone from Hungarian nobility at the throne for example giving them legitimacy.

It's not as much about gaining another puppet/ally as it's about getting one of the coalition members out from the war for good, especially with Hasburg blood feud with republic.

That moment where the potential next campaign we have planned is now about to get very, very interesting.

Have the Swiss gone Sicko Mode and need to be put down!?
No. They have not gone all John Wick on us.
Nope. Mostly because the Sweedish Navel capacity is shit!
Vercingetorixian Coup?
No.
Ordenstaat Vendee in the 1790's!?
Okay there bub, we are not Teutons.

We're Republican, there's a difference.

Though I do have a few ideas for offensives into germany.

But really though...

Since the Army of the Rhine isn't yours to command yet... Jourdan's ideas for campaigns are going to be very... strange.

And potentially stupid considering French Forign policy.

The question you should be asking is: Do I want pointless military adventurism that opens up another Front for France that may ruin my reputation and put France in a Dire situation... or am I capable of handling that situation my boss has put me in and push forward for fun and profit?:V

Revolutions and Adventurism, name a better combo

Jourdain: We'll be in and out of the Rhine 6 months tops. A quick adventure.
...

2 years later:

Therese: "Mission accomplished... what did we miss?"

*France is on fire, Napoleon is Emperor, and She's been married off against her will by Brian so he can save his own ass*

Therese: Oh... (Anime was a mistake)

Napoleon: Therese I need you to help lead a campaign against the Russians.

Therese's mind: Haiti seems like a lovely place this time of year.

Therese: Just admit it was a bad idea!
Jourdain: What? Sending you to a simple job?
Therese: " 20,000 men to Tunisia" Are you dying of Dementia?!
Jourdain: Well, at least the American's helped us with our Pirate Problem.
Therese: It didn't become a problem until you made it our problem!
Jourdain: Well the Sultan did insult my mother.
Therese: He insulted me!
Jourdain: Eh, dose it really matter about who he really insulted?

I'm honestly expecting something bad to happen, and then everyone to be honestly suprised.

The will of the dice has been left clear before, and yet...

One would think we would be a little atached to Therese, but is quinda hard to see it with how we act.
