I feel that this chapter was just trying to justify working with the Empire. There is no such thing a part time NAZI. Even arguing that Max
Anders does not really believe in them is no justification. Don't even bring the "For the Greater Good" argument
As much as I agree with you, I am kinda weirdly happy to see them making moral compromises like this. It gives the story a more authentic Worm vibe.
If they never made any "For the Greater Good" judgement calls and still somehow always come out on top, this would feel more like a Mary Sue Fix-it Fic.
There is nothing wrong with a Fix-It Fic, where the MCs are uncompromising on their Moral High Ground and OP enough to not be tempted.
But there are so many of those stories already, that they are super boring.
The MC is strong, but not THAT strong.
He can't take on the world, the Endbringers, Scion and still help the people around him by himself.
Afterall, this isn't DC. Where Good versus Evil almost always falls in Good's favor.
This is Worm, a world where Good rarely wins and when it does, it is a phyrric win.
If you gotta work with an ex-Nazi to protect the people you are protecting and afford the resources you need to save the world, then you gotta work with an ex-Nazi.
As I said, that feels more like Worm.
But I have point out something to everyone.
It is a minor nitpick, but it is accurate.
Kaiser isn't a Nazi.
Kaiser is a Neo-Nazi.
There is a difference.
People never seem to understand that distinction because the word Nazi.
Neo-Nazis should be reviled and disparaged, but they aren't Nazis.
Nazi's are Evil, Neo-Nazis are just stupid people.
Becoming a Neo-Nazi is pretty much like joining a cult.
Kaiser is just the cult leader.
