Alright, then.
[X] Plan "Idiot Infernal GET!"
*shrugs*The GM asked us if we wanted to stunt talking to Akio once he calmed down, indicating he would make it part of the update:
That sounds awesome. I have no idea how to build a character, but Maxwell seems to be a Fiend caste from what I have seen of the game. So, since we've pretty much wrapped this up (hehe, 'wrap'), I'd like to talk about an idea I had for two Infernals. Basically, Maxwell and Charlie of the Don't Starve video game. For those of you who don't know who they are, Don't Starve is a video game you try to go through various worlds and keep the Monster in the Dark at bay. You've been dragged into a hellish survival world by Maxwell for one-reason-or-another, and if you're ever in complete darkness, the Monster in the Dark will attack you, and quite possibly kill you.
At the end of Adventure Mode, you discover that Maxwell is actually just a pawn of the Shadow Creatures, which he refers to as 'Them'. Maxwell used to be a stage magician, with Maxwell being a stage name and his real name being William Carter. One day, he found a book that had real magic, and started using it in his act. He wound up picking up a female assistant along the way named Charlie. During his final act, he and Charlie were dragged into the book by shadowy hands, where Maxwell became the, for lack of a better way of putting it, "king" of the world you're in. Charlie became the monster in the dark.
My idea was that the Shadow Creatures that dragged Maxwell and Charlie would wind up being gods of Yu-Shan, albeit really sadistic ones. One day, when Maxwell was out in the mortal world on his masters' order looking for new people to "play with"/torture. He decided to run for it, and failed. However, the god who captured him again was killed by a demon, who offered Maxwell an Infernal Exaltation and revenge on the gods. Naturally, Maxwell accepted, and his main motivation, apart from brutally murdering the gods who tormented him and Charlie so, is finding his old assistant and helping her back to humanity.
Unbeknownst to him, however, Charlie received a deal of her own. She's...not in the best shape mentally, being tortured and twisted until she's little more than a hate-fueled killing machine, but she's still human enough that she despises the gods that have tortured her so. One day, she finds a demon. It can't see her, so she attacks. However, the demon is tough enough to withstand her attacks while giving an offer. She's still human enough to receive an Exaltation, she just counts as being heavily mutated. The demon's offer is that in exchange for serving the Yozis, Charlie would have the power to make her desires come to pass. Such as burning down Yu-Shan for what's she been through. She accepted, and now she's trying to find Maxwell so she can save him, while killing gods along the way.
I'm just not sure how to stat them, or what Castes or Patrons should be. I'm imagining both of them being decent in Social, since they used to be stage performers, with Charlie being the more physically oriented of the pair, while Maxwell is better with the technical details. Would anyone else like to discuss this?
I'm not entirely sure. Lunars require stewardship-oriented Motivations, and Charlie...doesn't really get a lot of backstory or development. Heck, we only know that she used to be human or her name because the devs put in some Easter Eggs! Plus, given that she seems to attack anyone that can't see her, even Maxwell when he's a playable character, I'd say she's taking out her pain anyone she can, which does not seems Stewardship-oriented to me.Perhaps Charlie, having gone through (endured) all that terrible stuff would be more suited to a Luna than an Internal?
Maybe Hegra?
That seems like a good fit, but I think I remember reading that only the 5 Caste Yozis and Kimbery can be Favored.

@Alexander89, is this true?
Ah. Hmm...Maxwell, when a player character, is revealed to have made most of the Don't Starve world and the creatures that inhabit it. I think he might work well as a Cythera-Patroned Fiend. As for Charlie, she only attacked you when you couldn't perceive her. If you had night-vision, you were safe even in the deepest darkness. Perhaps Szorney? She was impossible to hit, so that could translate to being insanely tough here. With Malfeas and Szorney Charm, she could easily be a real juggernaut; as long as she lived, nothing would stop her from coming back. Those are the only Yozis who have canon Charms. Any Yozi who has joined the Reclamation can be favored.

Wouldn't Ebon Dragon favored be better? The Witness to Darkness tree offers fantastic shadow-and-darkness combat motifs, such as Noon As Night Evocation, which plunges an entire area into supernatural darkness.
This would be the third omake/idea to portray the gods of Yu-shan up to some serious twisted shit. Not that I mind, but you are forcing me to make the Celestial Bureaucracy even more corrupted from 5000 years of complete boredom that I initially thoughtSo, since we've pretty much wrapped this up (hehe, 'wrap'), I'd like to talk about an idea I had for two Infernals. Cytherea. Personally I don't think she fits, since the Don't Starve world is mainly made of hallucinations and isn't, technically, real. Now, on the other hand Szoreny would. Maybe Elloge, or Adorjan.Ah. Hmm...Maxwell, when a player character, is revealed to have made most of the Don't Starve world and the creatures that inhabit it. Yu-Shan isn't the western idea of Heaven, it's the eastern idea of a bureaucracy responsible for every aspect of reality. There's gods of murder, gods of drug addiction... I'm sure there's gods of torture and terrorism. This would be the third omake/idea to portray the gods of Yu-shan up to some serious twisted shit. Not that I mind, but you are forming me to make the Celestial Bureaucracy even more corrupted from 5000 years of complete boredom that I initially thought
Good point. It's also true that victims of the more unsavory face of Heaven make for good Infernals.Yu-Shan isn't the western idea of Heaven, it's the eastern idea of a bureaucracy responsible for every aspect of reality. There's gods of murder, gods of drug addiction... I'm sure there's gods of torture and terrorism.
There's also gods of medicine, charity and homeless shelters, but as Infernals we're biased to seeing the negatives of the establishment.
It's an interesting idea and the Princess' fate is very vague, with several competing theories to where she is. So it could be her, or a Raksha pretending to be her, or it could be literally anyone else.Does anyone know if the Raksha (the one with the amazing hairstyle and a dress made of severed hands) appearing at the end of both "Dreams of the First Age 1 - Lands of Creation" and "Graceful Wicked Masques" has a name? Jaguar calls her Princess, so I think she's Princess Melusine, but I am not sure.
Dangit, now I'm feeling obliged to write up something with a heroic god who helps out someone in need. This would be the third omake/idea to portray the gods of Yu-shan up to some serious twisted shit. You could have it be the (now) unemployed god of Japan, who was forced out by the god of area eleven, and now goes around trying to help the rebels with blessings and stuff.Dangit, now I'm feeling obliged to write up something with a heroic god who helps out someone in need.

"Wooo, party at my place everyone! *is currently drunk as a skunk on Celestial Wine*"Then again all that Sakuradite might have made her rich as hell in Yu-Shan and she's pleased as punch.
Good point. I can imagine him being a bit miffed at having to take marching orders from the god of Brittania now.The God of Japan would have had to have fucked up immensely to just not have its title changed appropriately, if that was even necessary.
One Exigent Exalted of the God of Gundams, coming up (not Knightmare frames, Gundams)!Dangit, now I'm feeling obliged to write up something with a heroic god who helps out someone in need.
Hmm...I do see your point. Perhaps Elloge would be a better fit for Maxwell. I still plan on keeping some of the crafting skills, though. In addition, I can see Charlie trying to open up the Ebon Dragon's charmset while she's in hell, if only because she's spent so long in darkness.Cytherea.
