Green Sun, Black Shadows (CG/Exalted)

[JK] Suzaku is alive! End him now before his self-righteousness inevitably screws you over.

I'm just putting what some of us thought the true course of action should be out there. :V

On a more serious note:
[X] XP Expenditure Plan "Congrats, its twins!"

[X] Suzaku is alive! Be happy but keep up your public mask.
-[X] "Suzaku..." You resist the urge to stare in shock. It takes a great deal of your will to keep up your carefully crafted mask. Your Essence Sight doesn't show him to be someone else magically disguised, so you're pretty damn sure it's him. You don't know how he survived, but you can catch up with him later, but for now you can't reveal anything that might link him to your secret past. "Well, I have to say I'm surprised, Suzaku. I would never have expected to see you here, but it's good to see you again." You say, smiling honestly. You turn to Rivalz. "Rivalz, have you met Suzaku? He helped me out after that idiot driver in the truck accident drove off with me inside."
-[X] Later when you're assured of privacy (the last thing you want is to give your fanclub ideas) give him a hug, let him know you're glad he's alive. The two of you have some catching up to do, and you're sure Nunnally would love to see him again.

I'm REALLY hoping we don't have a limited number of intimacies as seeing one of "kids" die due to having to lose an intimacy to make room for another would freaking SUCK.
The maximum number of Intimacies at character generation is (Willpower+Compassion). That said, I am more than willingly to extend that limit, provided it doesn't come to ridiculous things like thirty Intimacies at once.

Lol. Good luck with that, Lelouch.
That was his inner ham speaking. It wasn't time for modesty.
First off, I really liked how you portrayed the meeting Malefas, especially the part that starts with a memory of Lelouch. I get the impression that Malefas is trying to see what makes Lelouch tick, and also that memory is necessary to open up communication with Malefas because it's something Malefas can understand.

Secondly, even the big boissu himself finds us funny. Are we like the equivalent of a singing frog, something so novel that even the king(?) finds reason to throw coins at us?
Malfeas' central emotion is hate, but it isn't the only one. In this case he still find Lelouch hilariously pathetic, but he approves of his goals (i.e., deliver copious amount of hate-fueled pain on his enemies, which are also Malfeas' enemies). So the King, in his infinite magnanimity, gave him what he thinks Lelouch will need to not fail miserably.

Basically it was Malfeas' way of saying "Your heart in in the right place". Granted it's Malfeas we're talking about.
You know, it strikes me that you portrayed Malefas (the location) a lot like a Disgaean Netherworld.
I did? lol I admit Disgaea is my favorite version of Hell...but I don't plan to make Seyrun a comic relief character. It's just that he really was out of his depth, being forced under the attention of so many powerful beings he spend most of his life avoiding. He's a spider hunter-assassin, he likes darkness and killing flies.

Honestly I don't understand why Lelouch is so angry that C.C. alowed the shrine and doesn't like the way his fan-club is going, hasn't he already learned that having cults in your name is a good and desirable thing ?
Fangirls. Fangirls.
What are Celestial and Luna's equivalents?
Something like this.

Now let's see, there are Xp to give:

1)
Roaming the (shadow)lands
Great work as always Blade. I have yet to give you Xp for Nadir's adventures, yes? I think to recall saying I would wait for when all the Omakes you have in mind are complete. In any case, they're very good and will net a lot of Xp.

2)
+2 Xp. That's a good omake.

Alright, I am seriously thinking to put the Charms in the Charms Shop on Google Docs documents, because it slows down too much when I edit it. I will only leave general and heretical charms and put everything else on links.

@Enjou, the total of current Xp is now 81, so you may want to revise your plan.

We could, and it's a useful Ability for Lelouch. Anyone object?
Also, I just realized that if we could get from somewhere just one more xp point, we could max out War (Britannia) at the same time.

And now that I'm posting another post so soon, might as well bring up something that has been bothering me about your new write-in, Enjou:

While in the current situation this is quite ingenious cover-up for Suzaku recognizing us, and nothing that anybody in the school would suspect, how about the Brittanian army (or intelligence service) and/or other Exalts? Those of who know where Suzaku was on that day and especially what that truck was will likely suspect correctly that we were in Shinjuku.

It might stay known to only a small number of people if we play our cards right, but it makes me nervous. Tightly controlling information about ourself and our activities is currently the only thing keeping us safe, and considering the amount of attention we are currently attracting in the school... It might be only a small slip like this that becomes our downfall.

Unfortunately, I haven't come up with any alternative, at least not yet. And it might be the best to just take the small risk to lessen other risks by an action that covers up Suzaku slipping our name, as well as hopefully making his school-life a bit more tolerable.

Alright: Oramus Social Tree is mostly complete. Only the "become an object" Charm remain. Does anyone has any inspiration?

For the other Charms, those like Muse of Unearthly Delight, there are some Charms that me and others have worked on, and I plan to add them as new prerequisite for more advanced Charms. they are:

Impossible Dragon's Constitution
Cost: — ; Mins: Essence 2; Type: Permanent
Keywords: None
Duration: Permanent
Prerequisite Charms: What Is And What Should Never Be

Both Shaped and Unshaped Oramus is! Faced with the contradictory paradoxical nature of the Impossible Dragon, who can deny him without denying themselves? The power of the Beyond creeps from the Infernal's mind into her body, filling it with Pure Chaos warped by Primordial Essence and granting the following benefits:

- The Infernal may safely eat any Wyld tainted materials or anything made of Gossamer as if it were food. When the Infernal places a bite within her mouth the material is instantly changed into a random and unique food that is both delicious and highly nutritious. No morsel will be the same as the last, turning each meal into a veritable parade of flavors.
- The character may also safely eat the flesh of Raksha. Doing so grants the Infernal additional Essence regeneration of (Raksha's Essence) per hour for the next 24 hours. This benefit may stack, but may not exceed 10 motes per hour.
- The Infernal gains limited control over the effects of Wyld mutations inflicted upon her when she fails a resistance roll. She may always choose to receive a Derangement or set of Derangements of her choice matching the point value of the mutation she would have had in lieu of any other type of mutation.
- Raw impossibilities fill the Infernal's body. Anything from it counts as an Exotic Material that may be used as a crafting component, with an Artifact rating equal to the (Infernal's permanent Essence)-1, up to 5. The most readily available source is to use one's blood, costing 1 lhl to extract enough for use in a crafting project. The blood must be processed within seven days or it will lose its special properties. The amount of damage caused by removal of other parts of the Infernal's body may be determined by theSstoryteller. However, the nature of Oramus leans towards uniqueness: attempts to craft anything that is not unique with a material from the Infernal's body suffers an internal penalty of (Infernal's Essence), to a maximum of 5.
Living Paradox
Cost: - ; Mins: Essence 3; Type: Permanent
Keywords: None
Duration: Permanent
Prerequisite Charms: Impossible Dragon's Constitution

Those who look upon Oramus are fascinated by his unreal presence, but they do not truly understand how alien he really is. By taking this Charm the Pure Chaos within the Infernal's body expands its influence to change her even biology even further. Outwardly the Infernal does not seem to change at all, and any mundane inspection will reveal nothing strange. Beneath the warlock's skin however a truly bizarre reality has taken hold. Minor cuts, scrapes, or scratches will appear as normal wounds, but any deeper cut or wound that opens up the Infernal reveals that her innards have been replaced by clockwork gears, miniature galaxies, inky blackness filled with floating eyes that stare at the viewer or any other number of uncanny things. Maddeningly, each open wound appears to be something different from the others, but all are treated as an Obvious effect. This impossible biology grants the following effects:

-The Infernal's wounds bleed as normal when inflicted, but the bleeding ceases almost immediately afterwards. The Infernal takes no damage from Bleeding, no longer needing to reflexively roll to close her wounds and cease the flow of blood. However, the Infernal may leave the wounds open without penalty if she so chooses to dramatically sow terror, disgust, or confusion among her attackers: doing so lowers by 1 all the Valor rolls made by the enemies.
-The Infernal becomes immune to all magical poisons and diseases. The Primordial within recognizes the intruding Essence and shapes it into harmlessness. Paradoxically, the warlock is still as vulnerable to mundane poisons and diseases as she ever was, even though her preposterous biology should logically make that entirely impossible.
-Mundane surgery on the Infernal's innards becomes nearly impossible. In order to have a chance of success, the surgery must either be aided with an appropriate Charm that is not an Excellency or the surgeon must have an Occult rating of 4+ and an appropriate type of Essence sight such as All-Encompassing Sorcerer's Sight. Surgery that is skin deep, the use of medicines to treat poison or disease suffer, and healing magic that does not involve surgery suffer no penalty.
Flesh of Horrible Hallucinations
Cost: -- (5m); Mins: Essence 2; Type: Permanent
Keywords: Shaping
Duration: One Scene
Prerequisite Charms: Impossible Dragon's Constitution

The mind of Oramus is a place of madness and nightmares, fed by the brain-scalding revelations of the Beyond. His body, like all Primordials, is formed according to his own self-image. The Infernal may freely shift any Derangement she suffers from to her body as a negative mutation of equal potency, which lasts for the rest of the scene before evaporating away. By paying 5 motes per Derangement, the Infernal may instead select a positive mutation of equal potency, which also vanishes at the end of the scene.
Wyld Dragon's Breath
Cost: 8-4m; Mins: Essence 3; Type: Simple (Speed 6, DV -1)
Keywords: Sorcerous, Desecration, Shaping, Combo-OK, Obvious
Duration: Instant
Prerequisite Charms: Impossible Dragon's Constitution

Oramus is not only a dragon, but the first and most unique of all dragons. It was he who declared that all dragons must have a breath attack, for even if they were but pale imitations of his majesty it would be an insult if they did not emulate him correctly. This Charm costs 8 motes if used in Creation or Yu-Shan and 4 motes if used in a Wyld zone, Malfeas or the Underworld. The warlock unleashes a stream of Pure Chaos in the form of prismatic fire from her mouth as a breath attack extending (Essence x 10) yards from the Infernal with a width of (Essence) yards. Every individual within the blast is subject to an attack with an Accuracy equal to the Infernal's (Dexterity + [Archery or Thrown]) and a base damage of (Willpower)L. Against Raksha the damage is aggravated, their internal narrative made meaningless by the impossibilities of Oramus. Those caught in the blast must also make a Wyld Exposure roll (Essence + Willpower) with a difficulty of (Infernal's Essence + 1, maximum 7) to avoid gaining a random negative Wyld mutation as a Shaping effect that lasts for the remainder of the scene. At Essence 5 the mutations caused by this Charm become permanent as a Desecration effect. Any landscape or mundane objects caught in this Charm's area of effect that is not destroyed become slightly twisted to better match the themes of Oramus.

Thoughts?

I approve of your paranoia, but I think the risk is negligible. Nobody is really paying attention to Suzaku's school as they currently have no reason to, and Suzaku isn't going to say anything to his superiors about it either because even he isn't that stupid, and because it clears us the misunderstanding that we were helping the terrorists (at that point, anyways) as Rivalz is a witness that can testify that we just got caught up in the whole mess by coincidence.

I'm also paranoid about how much the canon still holds, so while the chance at least seems miniscule, I wouldn't bet on it. How about adding something to the vote like:

-[X] If possible with reasonable precautions (not speaking loudly), make sure that other students don't hear this. Tell Rivalz not to spread it around, as they were gambling at the time and could get into more trouble. If anybody asks, tell him to say that Suzaku helped Lelouch at some point when he was in trouble, and leave it to that.
-[X] Later when you're assured of privacy (the last thing you want is to give your fanclub ideas) give him a hug, let him know you're glad he's alive. The two of you have some catching up to do, and you're sure Nunnally would love to see him again.

That being said, I'm more than fine with the original vote. But if feasible, I want to make as sure as reasonably possible that we pre-emptively tackle anything that might screw up our plans, considering what kind of luck the canon Lelouch had.

I did? lol I admit Disgaea is my favorite version of Hell...but I don't plan to make Seyrun a comic relief character. It wasn't just that scene.

It was also the ponies, and Remondin, and our entrance into Malefas. Basically, you're portraying hell as an odd place that's filled with wonder, danger and quite a bit of silliness. Or a Disgaean Netherworld.

(Also you have that Disgaea fic linked in your sig).

Uh. I suppose I can blame my subconscious then. Should I change it in future interactions, showing the most alien examples of Malfeas that were skipped over?

You're acting like I'm implying your portrayal was a bad thing. ;-) I was just wondering if it was intentional.

(And looking from the outside, a Disgaean Netherworld can be a pretty alien place. I will say no more for fear of getting off-topic).

So does anyone else have an opinion about adding a dot of War to the XP plan?

EDIT - Also, I think we should attune our Hellcaster, as it currently isn't.

Last edited:
I don't have anything against it, as we'll probably have need of the ability soon enough. The Black Knights are about to start their operations in Japan, right?

Ok, added a dot of War and also attuning our Hellcaster since we probably want our primary artifact weapon attuned. The Stormwand I'm keeping unattuned for now, as it's more of a backup weapon. We can probably attune it after we get some overdrive mote pools.

C.C. has Conviction 5, which means she can deal with a century of torture no problem. No, I'm thinking it will involve collaboration with Milly, not just siccing Milly on her. (besides, Milly wouldn't obey that order, but if we're making it fun...)

Being that's she several centuries old and has probably been through most tortures that exist, getting back at her will be difficult.

I say we block Lulu's card from being able to order any pizza.
