What, you mean that asexually reproducing by budding new souls isn't weird and alien? Anyways, I think you're misunderstanding a few things.
You know, I read you post and I can get behind most of it, excepts for this part. The way I see it the new souls aren't born, they grow, they are new grownths, this isn't reproduction, the souls aren't new beings, they are already existent aspects of him given more room to grow and express himselfs while still being part of the whole.
Just puting this here since I fell its an important distinction to keep in mind that is being a bit ignored

Except TCD's can have children, and their subsouls can have children. It is asexual reproduction, even if it's just Lelouchs all the way down. :V

Alright, you have some good points, and maybe my concerns were a little extreme. While you're right in that trying to describe the Yozi as Eldritch Abominations is a mistake, I would still argue that the Yozi are very much alien to humanity in that they are pretty much embodiments of concepts made manifest, and as such subscribe to their concepts to such an extent a human can't truly grasp their mindsets. Take Malfeas for instance, pretty much one of the most straightforward of all the Yozis is 100% convinced that he is the greatest being and highest authority in existence, and for all that incomprehensibly immense ego, you can't really say he isn't. You can understand his nature, but you can't really relate to him, and he sure as hell can't relate to you. As far as I'm aware one of the big things in exalted is that the Yozi fundamentally can't relate to mortals, and that typically even Exalted have a lot harder time relating with mortals, particularly as they get older and older. I don't think it's unfair to say that out of all the mainstream kinds of Exalted, Infernals are one of the ones who become the most distanced from regular humans. I mean aren't a lot of their charms designed in such a way for them to be worshipped (and thus set apart from mortals)? And a major theme in Code Geass was just how distanced Lelouch became in his struggle to achieve his ambitions.

Relateable may have been a bad word - you can understand them to a degree, just as you can understand someone who is insane to a degree. Yes, they are insane and alien, but they are not completely incomprehensible.

As far as Sub souls, I mainly against that a lot of people seemed to have latched on to just using young females, with the talk of later having a male as their avatars. Take Sun Heart Furnace Soul; given that sub souls are tied to an intimacy that soul could be for instance a horse made of brass that breathes green flames and with a mane of green flames (the knight piece) . Or a Knight in armor made of brass with green fire flowing out of the joints, with a sword constantly dripping blood ( another chess knight motif). Or a tower of basalt, representing both a rook and Lelouch's conviction. Maybe this is outside the purview of the charm, but to me at least Lelouch's arrogance didn't stem from belief in his perfection, but that his cause, his plans were always justified, that he was without fail the good guy doing bad things for a noble cause. That to me seems to imply a sub soul that is a total warmonger that is absolutely convinced that its actions are benevolent, no matter the atrocities it plans to commit. It seems more incharacter for Lelouch than simply stroking his ego while at the same time it forces Lelouch to look at a rather ugly part of himself and be either forced to accept that's who he is, or try and change that aspect of himself. I'm objecting to the relatively simple characterizations we've planned for the subsouls because I don't think they provide adequate character exploration of Lelouch. Hell if you really want you can still have this character be a little girl, make it all the more jarring.

1. Nobody is saying give them male avatars later and I don't know where you got that idea. They said maybe Lelouch would have one that is male later. Eventually have a few sons rather than only daughters.

2. Sun-Heart Furnace Soul's representation in the Devil Domain is a miniature green sun, similar to Ligier. That said, it doesn't mean the soul that comes from that can't have a humanoid form as well, just as Ligier and many other Third Circle Demons do.

3. The souls born from Pantheon Charms do not immediately have a link to an Intimacy, so that wouldn't affect their starting form. They require that to come into the material world through Titanic Heart Overweening, and it defines their motivation. However, it's important to note that the motivation in question is filtered through ALL of the Yozi First Excellencies that the Infernal knows. This actually makes them less alien than the regular Third Circle Demons, because the more First Excellencies are involved the broader the conceptual understanding they can apply to their actions for their Motivation. The entire reason that humans and many other beings that aren't Primordials aren't insane like them is because their understanding of concepts is so much more broad than that of a Primordial as multiple sets of concepts were used in their making.

4. Again, because it bears repeating, these sub-souls are not based on the Yozis. They are based on the Infernal, who is a human, as filtered through the particular Charms that birthed them.

5. Another thing to note is that the souls have to be raised, rather like children. This isn't spelled out in the Charm, but EarthScorpion (guy who wrote them) has informed us of that. These aren't fully formed beings like 3CD born from a Yozi might be.

Omake - Reaction, Planning (Canon)
Reaction, Planning

In a Britannian home, around midnight, an unusual conversation is taking place. Why is this particular conversation unusual? Well for starters, this conversation is taking place entirely in a new Infernal Exalt's head.

"All right, so let me just make sure I've gotten this right: The Big Bang was actually a living being who is now called Cytherea, she along with the other Yozis made the world, their servants who are the gods overthrew and imprisoned them with the aid of the Exalted, the Solar Exalts were all killed and locked away, two near-extinction events happened at roughly the same time which caused the planet to become a sphere, which was then, for lack of more knowledge or a better way of putting it, dropped into the vacuum of space. In addition, faeries are a thing, they're living stories, and they eat souls, or wills, or whatever, the Underworld is a thing, which about sums up the whole of my knowledge regarding that, and because I accepted your offer, I now work for the forces of Hell, and have a shapeshifting demon hooker who is also a mad biologist living in my head. Did I miss anything Namaht?"

"Well, you didn't mention how the Underworld came to be or the effects that has had, but considering I have yet to completely explain those myself, it's only natural. Also, I prefer to be called a courtesan, rather than a hooker. Courtesan sounds classier. But apart from that, you got the gist of it. Why are you summing up what I just finished explaining to you though Nathan?"

"Because I just wanted to make sure I got everything right. Goodness, though, it's almost like something out of a fantasy novel that was made while the author was on drugs or something. So, what now? I mean, I know what the Great Sphere of Speech wants me to do, but...well, I'm not sure about how to, you know, actually do it. I am not precisely great when it comes to social events, and I'm not sure how I could reveal what precisely Britannia will do and actually make it plausible. Hell, I didn't know that Britannia commits atrocities, and I'm a citizen! That's some pretty good propaganda right there. So I suppose what I'm asking is, do you have any ideas on what to do now?"

"Perhaps we could head to the island nation once known as Japan, AKA nowadays as Area 11? It has been chosen to be the staging ground for the Reclamation, and an entire Coven is either already there, or heading there. I was not able to keep up-to-date on most information once I left Malfeas. In addition, the Coven has the Marshall of the Althing Infernal, which governs the Green Sun Princes, as a member. He is said to be quite knowledgeable, so he might be able to help you. Plus, you're supposed to be heading there anyway."

"And...why is that? Is there an official order or something stating all Princes have to head to Japan ASAP?"

"Yes, actually. All Green Sun Princes are to report to Japan as soon as possible for further training. In addition, your efforts as an Exalted, and of the Defiler Caste, are likely to make the efforts to claim Japan as a subordinate kingdom to Malfeas go much smoother."

"I-I'm sorry, but I could have sworn you just said that we're claiming Japan from Britannia."

"Yes I did. The Marshall has decided that since Japan has a good number of advantages to claiming it, he proposed that it should be the staging ground of the Reclamation. Lord Ligier agreed, and now efforts have begun to wrench Japan from Britannia's control to seize it for our own. As I said, your efforts will likely make that process go smoother. Hence, the orders to head there. I do hope that won't be a problem."

"I'm...not sure where to begin. For starters, how precisely am I supposed to get to Japan? I think I might be able to get a plane ticket, but I've never actually taken a plane before, I don't know how to arrange that sort of thing."

"Fear not, for if needed, you can simply travel through Malfeas and Cycelyne, the Endless Desert, to reach Japan. Admittedly, it will take 10 days to get there, 20 for a round trip at the absolute least, but you'll get there."

"Well, all right. I suppose that's one thing taken care of. Next, will I be expected to fight? I'd honestly prefer to just work in a lab designing useful things or something at that nature."

"You will not be required to fight, but I strongly suggest that you learn at least some self-defense methods. Becoming a Peer of Malfeas has earned you a number of enemies, including Heaven, and they will not refrain from targeting you simply because you would prefer not to fight. If anything, working in a lab developing things for the use of your fellow Peers would only cause then to spend even more effort on killing you, as your works would only make it harder to stop your allies. of course, this is in addition to the fact that there will always be someone out there who wishes you harm, no matter who you are. Ultimately, while in an ideal world you would be free to work all you wish, reality is, sadly, not so kind."

"Ugh. Well, you do have a point. Looks like I'll be taking up some self-defense lessons. Still, though, I'd prefer to spend a while thinking this through before we head to Japan. Do I have a specific deadline that I have to fulfill to reach Japan?"

"No deadline in particular, but if you go two or three weeks without reporting in, then it is very likely that someone will be sent to fetch you. I presume that you intend to start planning for your trip?"

"You are correct. But first, you mentioned the Underworld earlier. It would probably be a good idea to explain that in full, before I have to deal with it."

"Very well. The Underworld could, at its core, be considered the dreams of the dead Yozi, who are also known as the Neverborn..."

With that, the unspoken conversation continued, until after dawn. And all the while, the Infernal plotted and planned for the future, and what it might hold.

With that, my second omake is complete! I thought I'd get into what someone completely new to the whole 'Exalted' thing would think of the story of Creation, and how someone might react to being ordered to head to Japan. I hope you enjoyed it.

If they are killed, Lelouch would lose the Intimacy. If they change their Motivation somehow, Lelouch's Intimacy changes accordingly. That is most certainly how it works with the Yozis.

Also, if Lelouch loses the intimacy, they die. it works both ways.

given that sub souls are tied to an intimacy that soul could be for instance a horse made of brass that breathes green flames and with a mane of green flames (the knight piece) . Or a Knight in armor made of brass with green fire flowing out of the joints, with a sword constantly dripping blood ( another chess knight motif). The chess motif was something i already considered (Although i was mainly thinking in one of the souls taking the Back king motif, with Lelouch Ego). And really, i think our souls should have multiple forms (Even if they start with only one). Most Third circles have a human form, among others. Just look at
Ligier (Handsome man/ Green Sun) or Ferand (Living chariot/Old man) or Benezet (That continuosly changes form) etc.

I have to agree with your take on considering the Yozi insane. far more succinct, but basically what I was trying to admit.

  1. I misphrased the male avatar part, I meant acquiring some sub souls with a male form as opposed to changing their avatars to become male.
  2. Alright, that makes sense, I tried to read up on the charm but I didn't realize it inherently has the form of mini-Ligier, I still stand by some of my proposed avatars and the form of its arrogance.
  3. Alright thanks, wasn't aware of the intimacies coming later. I would argue that simply due to having a broader base to access they aren't inherently all that much more sane. And the excellencies we'll have will for a while will be for the embodiments of Paradox and the impossible, Opposition and betrayal/teachery, and Domination and hatred. Our 'kids' are going to have a hell of a lens to see the world through.
  4. And I argued that a lot of Exalted seems to be about the psychological tendencies when you give the humans to the means play god, that even the First Age Solars, the quintessential heroes did a lot of fucked up shit because they could and because all of their virtues were magnified to an inhuman extent. This is my biggest disagreement with you, Exalted may technically be human, but given all their quirks seem to be ratcheted up as well you wind up with inhuman monsters with a tendency to think they know best. Wasn't it mentioned earlier that a Solar fell in love with, and made love with a mountain? That's not really a human train of logic by any thought. I feel confident that none of the older Lunars really consider themselves as truly human anymore, and the Sidereals literally can't have long term interaction with mortals without donning personas for it. You could argue that Exalted are human in the same way Sociopaths and Psychopaths are, but those are pretty much inhuman outlooks brought about either through inherent mental illness or in response to their environment. So in a way, it sort of falls back to your earlier statement of insane and somewhat alien nature that is still relatable to a degree. On this one I think at best we're going to agree to disagree.
  5. Alright, I'm not really arguing with the notion of our sub souls growing and maturing over time, in fact in the post you quoted I happily conceded 'Heart' acting and looking like a child, it's the core concepts seemingly being glossed over/subsumed into the mindset of a young girl that I'm opposed to. I'm fine with her being a child, I'm fine with her viewing her concept with a childish perspective, but that shouldn't necessarily soften/or alter how she embodies her concept. Even if they are somewhat normal extension souls of a Human being, they should still be an incredibly jarring entity to interact with for someone with a relatively normal mindset.

We aren't a millenia old Elder Exalt consumed by the great curse. Those examples don't really apply.

And Exalts are fundamentally human. Their faults are human faults, magnified thousand-fold.

That was kinda my point, human faults magnified to an inhuman extent. And are you really going to tell me the megalomaniacal chess master who in canon orchestrated world peace by uniting the world in vilifying him, is not going to act increasingly inhuman now that he has powers that literally cause him to be deranged and is conspiring with the forces of hell to foment a worldwide revolution? He had a charm that had him becoming increasingly out of touch with reality as he saw things that weren't there until we made a charm to fix it. A young solaroid might have an essentially human disposition, but Lelouch has never really had a normal mentality and his exaltation is only exacerbating that. It's easy to say an Exaltation *just* increases human faults, but when you consider the people likely to Exalt already are prone to having some major faults/quirks/neuroses than it's not so easy to say they have a normal human outlook.

Well, my point is that Lelouch isn't really mad... yet. So his souls shouldn't be mad either.

After the revolution is in full swing? Well, that's another story, don't you think? I certainly expect to see seas of blood before this is over. The effects on Lelouch psyche (And in his souls) is to be seen.

[X] Bring Kaguya with you
[X] Malfeas

"I would be delighted by your company." You smile before snapping your fingers. "Lemmun."

"Yes Master?" The Naneke instantly replies, moving from his initial position farther behind you to your side in a second.

"Write down this message." You dictate, and the demon faithfully copies it on scroll. "Have one of the faster messengers bring it to Lady Berengiere, and tell me immediately if there are any concerns about Lady Kaguya's presence."

"It will be done!" Lemmun replies with a deep bow before darting away.

"You already have a most loyal follower." Kaguya claps her hands in delight. "As expected of Lelouch-sama!"

"Yes...except he seems to have decided that all on his own." You mumble under your breath before asking the raven-haired girl a question. "Do you have a preferred method of transportation?"

"If we are meeting with a Citizen, I believe using a palanquin is a must." She replies instantly.

Five minutes later both of you are on board a palanquin carried by six Angyalkae with their prehensile hair while they play the Harp of Time (that they make silence impossible to happen near you is a coincidence!). Quite luckily Berengiere's residence is situated on the same layer of the Conventicle Malfeasant.

"I never apologized." You say suddenly, surprising Kaguya who is seated in front of you.

"For what?"

"That day in the forest, when we first met." You internally sigh: if Kaguya had forgot you would have kept silent, but since she clearly remembers... "I meant what I said. But I was unnecessarily harsh." You look out at the street. "I was also a somewhat bitter child, but that's not an excuse."

"I see. Then I can tell you that you have nothing to apologize for Lelouch-sama." She replies, smiling sweetly. "Harsh you may have been, it was the lesson that made me what I am today: not just the heir to the Sumeragi family, but myself. I am Kaguya Sumeragi, and I am my own person." Her expression turns soft. "You were the first person to treat me as such. For that, I am very grateful."

"Kaguya..." You admit to be surprised at the younger girl's level of maturity. Maybe...maybe you didn't make a mistake that time. "Are you sure you're younger than me?" You say with sarcasm.

"Do no worry Lelouch-sama." Her smile shines like the sun. "I am more than willing to wait a few years to make our union official!"

"Wait, what?" You blink in confusion. "Didn't we agree to enter the same coven already?"

She just keeps smiling, looking to all the world like the perfect picture of class and elegance.

'Seyrun?'

"Drawing a blank here Boss."

{====}

Your destination is a large patch of barren land, closed off by large bone-white walls and gates. Each of them is etched with scenes of fights and battles, phrases in Old Realm all telling how this was sacred ground and must not be disturbed.

There is a single building close to it: a large villa of crimson and purple right in the center of the only road leading to the boneyard. Music and chants come from it, Angyalkae and other demons skilled at singing present all around the premise.

You are received at the entrance by a group of Neomah and Noresores and escorted inside.

When you see her the mistress of the house is indulging herself, singing on a podium while an orchestra play behind her. At the front of a crowd of demons keep time by clapping.

The Weaver of Voices is beautiful in form, with luscious curves beneath crimson-veined clothing that murmurs in a thousand quiet voices rather than rustling as cloth does. Her fingers are delicately shaped into rending points, the veil she wears hinting at a face both demure and tempting.

"Remember Boss, don't ask what's behind that veil. Beside, it has nothing to do with what you have come here today for, right?"

You mentally grunt in agreement. You can safely admit you are curious...but for the sake of necessity you can ignore such a minor urge.

"That's all for today dears." Berengiere says at the song's end amidst the cheers. "Now go back to work. There is much left to do."

Without further encouragement the demons scatter to do their duty, while the orchestra change melody and keep playing. Berengiere descends the podium, hastening her steps when she catch sight of you. "Ah! Dear guests!" She exclaims excitedly. "Welcome to my abode."

""May joy and fortune shine upon you Lady Berengiere."" You and Kaguya both say, bowing. "I am Green Sun Prince Zero, Chosen of Wise Oramus."

"And I am Green Sun Princess Kaguya Sumeragi, Chosen of Noble Szoreny." Kaguya continues. "Thanks for having me today."

"I always have time for visitors. Come, let's have some refreshment."

Said 'refreshment' turns out to be tea and snacks. Even if said tea has a strong metallic aftertaste, and the snacks while tasting sweet lack most of Earth's common ingredients in their preparation. What was used to replace them...you prefer to not know.

"Lady Berengiere." You begin after making sure to consume only the strictly necessary to keep up etiquette. "If it pleases you, I would like to talk about the reasons for my visit."

"Yes, yes." She says quickly, as if remembering it just now. "It was about the cult of...of..."

"The Court of the Black Jade Emperor, Mistress." A butler helpfully suggests.

"Ah yes yes yes. Now I remember!" She puts the tips of her nails together. "Goodness, there are so many. Apparently I am, for some reason, greatly suitable for raising cults so I must work hard. Something about a 'good impression'." She tilts her head. "Which is strange because my soul-sister Sondok also has great success among mortals. And while dear Sondok has many good qualities, it cannot be honestly said she is...what was called?" She puts a finger on her veil, where the lips should be. "A people's person?"

Seyrun laughs harshly. "The Guardian of Ligier's treasures? I would be amazed to find someone below an Unquestionable that doesn't fear her!"

"I am sure...that the mortals that venerate Lady Sondok are all worthy individuals that recognize and admire said good qualities." You say diplomatically.

"Of course, of course! My dear soul-sister is very good at what she does." Berengiere nods quickly. "Where we were? Oh yes, the cult. You said you want to request their services?"

"That's correct. With your consent of course." You reply respectfully. "I am creating a group of fighters for a purpose linked to the Reclamation, and I am in need of a civilian branch to handle the more mundane matters, and also expand recruitment among those who has yet to see the truth. Naturally I am not asking this for free: if there is something I can do for you in exchange, Lady Berengiere, you only have to ask."

"So polite!" Berengiere giggles politely. "There is no need to be so stiff dear, I am quite happy to serve the Reclamation however I can." She pauses and takes a long sip of tea before setting down the cup. "That said, I am sure you know of my craft, my pride and joy." She puts her hand together. "Something that's best done while in Creation. As such, as long as the new activities of my believers don't interfere with the time they can dedicate summoning me and my assistants, I have no objections."

"Of course Lady Berengiere. It's but a trivial matter to fix." You bow. "And if it would please you, I can arrange for extending said time. Something that would become more than possible with the swelling of our ranks. I was also given the impression there is a high demand for the material that in Creation is called Sakuradite?"

"Ah! Yes yes yes!" She claps her hands excitedly. "Indeed! A strange material this 'sakuradite' is: similar to Jade, but volatile and it's truly magical only when worked with external Essence." She leans forward. "It has all sort of INTERESTING effects when used in weaving."

"It does?"

"Yes! Just forty cries of Tomescu ago I exploded."

Silence.

"The cloth exploded. Not me." She takes another sip of tea. "It's my personal belief that it's the result of Pasiap and Hesiesh running closer to each other than before. A minority think it's a Sidereal plot to make Daana'd and the spirit courts of Water recede to free up more land, but there is always someone who cries 'Sidereal plot!' at every strange happening."

Silence.

She tilts her head. "Where I was?"

You clear your throat. "The Sakuradite Lady Berengiere. If it is what you desire, I can arrange to have suitable quantities of it delivered to you."

"And I can help." Kaguya interjects. "Since mine is one of the families trusted with its extraction. Most of what can be safely smuggled under Britannia's nose will be needed for Peer Zero's army, but I am sure we can spare enough for your needs."

"Sublime news!" She exclaims happily. Then she abruptly turns pensive. "Peer Kaguya, if I remember right you are working to gather all the cults in Japan under a sole organization? If the Makers so desire who I am to oppose it? Yet, the efforts of the Sidereals, and through them the Dragonblooded, to stomp down such cults have always been strong. Is it wise to leave trails that can be exploited to make such tasks easier?"

"You raise a good point, Lady Berengiere." Kaguya admits, still smiling. "That's why such efforts are half-way complete, and will remain so until we are ready."

Both you and the demon look at her. "What do you mean?"

"In one word: compartmentalization." She begins to explain. "Each cult has it own internal structure. They have contacts with a single agent of the organization to which they defer to, and only that. But there are no fixed meetings: the agent shows up when needed, and the cultists have no way of contacting him, though he shows up at least once a month. By the same token each agent handles a single cult, and they meet their superiors only when the latter contact them. Those superiors only have data about a certain number of cults, other groups handling the rest. All those groups then answer to me, through intermediaries that cannot be traced to me." She smile grows. "Each and every one of those nodes is unaware of the others. Some know they exist, but nothing more. The only one who knows of the whole web is myself. It's not a perfect system. It was not designed that way. But it will hold until Japan is free from Britannia's control, at which point we will connect all nodes and transform the system into Japan's official religion. Until then, no destruction of a single cell will endanger the whole structure."

This...is-

"Brilliant!" Berengiere claps, stealing the words out of you words. "This is, indeed, the cleverness of a true Exalt! But wait: Japan's official religion?"

You and Kaguya share a look before explaining your plan.

The reaction-

"My! How bold!! If Lord Ligier approves so do I! Quick, get me quill and scroll: we must finalize this contract!"

-Is positive.

{====}

"Here you are." Rakshata is there to greet you and Kaguya when both of you return, together with Akito, Milly and Leila. "By your face, I guess everything turned alright?"

"I would say so. Wait, let me rephrase that: I definitely say so." You raise the scroll with the official contract with Berengiere, surveyed and blessed by a priest of Cecelyne, before giving it to Kaguya to keep. "Since everyone is here, I presume something happened?"

"Not quite." The Defiler replies. "I just thought it was time to introduce you to Lillun."

Ten minutes later

"Do you know how, normally, at the death of their bearers Celestial Exaltations fly back to Yu-shan in the cabinet of Lytek, the God of Exaltations, to be purified?" Rakshata begins after the six of you board the wagon. "Well, obviously an alternate system to keep the Infernal Exhalations here in Hell was needed. And since our dear Masters have a habit of creating a specifically-made demon when a new issues pops up instead of using machines, they did the same."

"Lillun is a Behemoth." Akito continues. "A unique, special spiritual creature who looks like a human."

"Her official title is 'Phylactery Womb', since she holds the fifty Exaltations of the Green Sun Princes within herself." Rakshata resumes. "But she's mostly known as the 'Coryphee of Hope'. She's a living, thinking control mechanism."

"That's the truth Boss. I personally meet her when she put your Exaltations inside me. It was just a touch: the real challenge was keeping it contained until I could meet you."

'I see. Well, I suppose this fits the themes of Malfeas I've seen far. What kind of person is Lillun?'

"...It was a brief meeting. She just smiled and put the supermote inside me. Then she said 'May the blessing of the Yozi be with you'. After that I was escorted away."

"Though she insists us Infernals call her 'Big Sister'." Akito grumps.

"It would be a pleasure to meet her." Kaguya smiles. "I assume we are heading to her residence?"

"I wouldn't call the Basilica of Carousel Whimsy a residence, but yeah."

Only later, when you reach your destination, do you understand Rakshata's words.

The Celebration Eternal.

A lavish, incredibly huge party that has been ongoing for several years now, and it's intended to keep going for eternity. Upon entering the truly massive open-air stadium that is the Basilica of Carousel Whimsy you are meet with the spectacle of thousands of demons celebrating in what is probably the mother of all parties.

Milly's shrill of pure delight cements that impression.

And in the center of it is Lillun herself: externally she looks like a young woman around her twenties, hair, clothes, lips and everything else save for rosy skin is green. She dances barefoot with grace and elegance, the other demons giving her space while following her pirouettes around the place.

She is a divine dancer. She is also, according to your Essence sight, an absolute monster that rivals an Unquestionable. If the Yozi intended this to be a safeguard mechanism, they did extremely well.

Lillun keeps her eyes closed, and yet she slowly move towards your group's direction until she's right in front of you. Then she opens her eyes, revealing cherry-red pupils radiating unbridled happiness. She cups Akito's cheeks and gives him a chaste kiss on the forehead before moving to do the same to the others and you. When she is finished she takes a step back and speaks:

"In you resides the hopes of the Demon Race."

Then she leaves, rejoining the party she is queen of.

You suppose she's a woman of few words.

"Lelouch." "Lelouch-sama."

Milly and Kaguya both offer you a hand.

""May I have this dance?""

You weigh pros and cons. "As long as I am not forced to drink something suspicious, sure."

{====}

The following two days, or four cries of Tomescu, are occupied with your finalizing the details of your collaboration with the rest of your Coven. Thanks to Kaguya's open support your problems with money are gone, though you aren't going to abuse that or her faith.

Rakshata needs to finish a couple of projects and assemble her team before she can join you, but she is ready to provide the Black Knights with every technology they will need.

Kaguya took upon herself the duty to contact General Gene Smilas and convince him to send the W-0 unit to Japan. That will be tricky to handle, but you are confident she can do so easily.

And then it happens. Ligier comes, announced this time, so you have all the time to prepare and greet him properly. "I see you are ready to depart." He comments.

"That is exactly so, Lord Ligier." You reply. "We will probably not able to return for months. But I am confident our junior Peers will prove adequate replacements while we do our own parts."

"Let's hope so, shall we?" He smiles, putting his hands together, before his gaze falls on you. "But it's not to say goodbye that I am here.

Lelouch Vi Britannia. My Oversoul wishes to speak with you."

That day you discover Seyrun's screams of terror can be quite girly when sufficiently motivated.

"...If I may ask, Lord Ligier." It is only later, when you follow the Green Sun of Malfeas down a subterranean structure, that you find the courage to speak. "Am I allowed to know the reason for this...meeting?"

"You may." He replies simply, sounding like the whole ordeal is common routine. "Simply put, you managed to catch the interest of the King, Lelouch Vi Britannia. Not in a bad way, so you can relax." He turns his head minutely to the side. "But, depending on how the conversation goes, you may need medical attention at the end. Do not worry though, for I know many spells that can help and I will magnanimously use them if necessary."

Seyrun's whimpers get stronger. "How very generous of you my Lord." You bow, too nervous to use any kind of sarcastic tone.

"Ah, here we are." Ligier stops in front of an ornate brass door. "This place is saturated in mine and the whole Demon City's Essence. With a small push you will be able to contact my Oversoul's consciousness." He opens the door, green vapor coming out in waves, before stepping aside to clear the passage. "Do not worry if what you are going to experience will be confounding. Yozis do not think like measly mortals...what you will get is just a small shard that your mind will struggle to comprehend."

"Thank you for the warning." You gulp before walking inside.

"If it may help, I hope you return." Ligier says before closing the door. "I really want to see that plan of yours made a reality."

Then everything turns green.

{====}

"Then I don't want to be your heir!" You shout at your father, too angry at his complete lack of concern over your mother's death and Nunnally's crippling to care. The other nobles gasp and whisper, but you ignore them. "I've had enough of the fighting and the scheming over who will succeed you!"

You are throwing away your title, but at this point it's more of a libera-

"You are dead." The Emperor's cruel words cut through your mind like a blade. "You've been dead from the moment you were born. Who gave you the clothes you wear? Your home, your food, your very life! All of those, I have given to you! In short, you have never actually lived! And yet you dare to speak such foolishness to me?!"

He abruptly stands up from the throne, his intimidating frame and gelid cold eyes causing you to fall down on your ass.

"Lelouch!" Charles Zi Britannia's voice booms. "As you are dead, you have no rights. I am sending you and Nunnally to Japan."

Japan?

Fire

Chaos

Blood

The sound of machine guns and explosions never stop never stop never stop never stop neverstopneverstopneverstopneverstopneverstopneverstop

"As prince and princess, you will serve as bargain-"

"YOU FUCKING BASTARD!!" You scream, the eyes of everyone widening as they step back from the sheer amount of hate in your words. You push yourself up, every trace of fear evaporating as unbearable heat spread from the center of your chest through your whole body. "IF YOU WANT TO KILL ME WHY DON'T YOU JUST PUT A GUN TO MY HEAD AND PULL THE TRIGGER?!!"

"You dare throw a tem-"

"SHUT UP!" Were you of clearer mind, you would have realized your voice couldn't possibly come from a nine years old child. "SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP!!! SHE WAS YOUR WIFE YOU BASTARD! SHE HAD MORE LOYALTY FOR YOU IN HER PINKIE THAN ALL THESE VIPERS HERE PUT TOGETHER! AND NOT ONLY DID YOU LET HER BE KILLED AND HER DAUGHTER CRIPPLED, YOU EVEN LET THE CULPRIT GO!"

The guards roughly restrain you and put a hand over your mouth, but you bite it. When he pulls it away in pain you deliver a last line. "WHAT KIND OF KING ARE YOU?!"

A FAKE

The guards catch fire. The nobles watching catch fire. Even the Emperor catches fire. You stare there dumbfounded, watching with sick fascination as they are quickly burned to ashes by the green fire...all the while screaming in excruciating pain.

BECAUSE

The hall expands, growing impossibly fast, concrete and tiles being replaced by brass and basalt.

THERE IS ONLY ONE TRUE KING!

Until you are in the middle of a cyclopean plaza surrounded by buildings so high you can't see the tops.

Every window like an eye staring at you with a pupil of baleful green fire.

"M-Malfeas..." You tremble, finally realizing the reality of the situation. You fall down on one knee and bow.

I AM

MORTAL. EVEN AMONG YOUR PATHETIC RACE, YOU ARE WEAK

YET YOU SPEAK OF STEALING CREATION BACK FROM THE TRAITOROUS GODS AND GIVING IT BACK TO ITS RIGHTFUL RULERS

WHERE DOES SUCH CONFIDENCE COME FROM?

Your throat is dry, words coming out like bloody nails. Yet you persevere. "I...have no other choice."

You take Malfeas' silence as a sign to continue. "It's true: I was weak. I had a weak body and no power I could call my own. I had to depend on the kindness of others, and every day I feared that those who have the power to strip away my freedom would find me and cast me back in the role of a puppet.

I hate the Emperor so much. And yet I hate myself so much more, for being unable to do anything against him. For being a weakling that had no choice but obey him.

Failure tasted like acid and ashes on my tongue."

Your hands clench so hard blood start to drip down from them. Your teeth grind against one another.

"But now, I have power! Even if it was given to me, it's still power! I can make my own choices now! I can think, I can decide for myself! I can make any miserable rabble that dare think they could order me around learn how much wrong they are!"

You raise your hand, clench it into a fist and then...punch the ground.

"I can destroy Britannia!"

Again.

"I can stand up to Charles Zi Britannia and crush him under my foot!"

Again.

"I can show the Dragonblooded who exactly their true masters are!"

Again. Your hand shatter.

"I can show the Lunars there is only one side they can choose, and the rest is a lie!"

Again. Cracks spread throughout your bones.

"I can tear apart the Sidereals' petty schemes and teach them what being a puppet in someone else's hands feels like!"

Again. Again. Again. Blood sprays your eyes.

"I can cast down the Underworld and those pathetic relics of a bygone era that dare call themselves Deathlords!"

Again. Again. Again. Again. Again. Again. Again. Again.

"I can tear out the Gods' spines! Make them realize what pathetic, corrupted wenches they are!"

Again. Again. Again. Again. Again. Again. Again. Again. Again. Again. Again. Again. Again. Again. Again. Again. Again. Again. Again. Again. Again. Again!

"AND WHEN SOL INVICTUS HIMSELF TELLS ME TO REPENT, I WILL SPIT IN HIS FACE AND TEAR OUT HIS HEART, TO SEE EXACTLY HOW BLACK IT REALLY IS!"

The ground shatters.

"I CANNOT STOP! NOT UNTIL ALL MY ENEMIES ARE DEAD! ONLY THEN I WILL BE ABLE TO REALLY LIVE!!!"

And the world laughs.

HOW AMUSING. ONLY YOUR WILL IS PUSHING YOU FORWARD

YET YOUR DESIRES ARE RIGHTFUL

YOU ARE NOT STRONG ENOUGH

THAT CAN BE REMEDIED

Everything turns still...

Before your very hate ignite with the force of a wrathful sun.

{====}

The door is blasted off of its hinges, melting and evaporating before it could even come close to touching Ligier. The Fetich of the Demon City stares calmly ahead, eyes blazing and hands folded behind his back as boiling green vapor pours out of the entrance.

One hand wrapped in black emerges and grabs one side of the door.

Another hand emerges and grabs the other side.

Finally, with a mighty push Lelouch Vi Britannia steps out of the room, drenched in sweat.

And flickers of hateful green fires emanating from his eyes.

"How did it go?" Ligier asks with a small smile.

"The King...is most wise." He rasps out.

He snarls. "He reminded me that, before the world can be mended, the culprits must pay."

"Most wise indeed. As the one who is closer to him, let me impart another lesson." Ligier raises his head, smile morphing into a grin. "The best kind of hate...is the one that is colder than ice, but burns stronger than acid."

Lelouch nod.

"I AM ALIVEEEEEE!!!"

'Oh? Seyrun? Where were you?'

"HIDING MY ASS OUT! CAN WE PLEASE GO BACK TO CREATION? PLEASE? PLEASEEEEE!!!!"

Gained:

First Malfeas Excellency, Second Malfeas Excellency, Malfeas Inevitability Technique, Malfeas World-Shaping Cosmogony

The fallen King of the Primordials is arrogant, cruel and given to excessive displays of obvious force for the chance to show off and the sadistic joy he feels when enemies and allies look upon him in awe and terror. He is vast and full of hate toward those who betrayed and imprisoned him, seeking vengeance with indiscriminate callousness to the collateral damage he inflicts on the innocent. The Demon City is resilient and strong enough to lift the world or crush it underfoot. The green fires raging in his heart blight the very Essence of everything they touch, marking the world with his wrathful glory. He holds authority over all things wise enough to bow before the world's creators.
Characters may apply this Charm to any actions in which they choose the ostentatious or overkill approach over merely adequate solutions. Any intentional subtlety or display of restraint makes this Excellency inapplicable, including adding less than half the maximum possible dice bonus to a roll (rounded down). Note that force does not necessarily equate to violence. A forceful seduction in which an Infernal confidently orders a prospective paramour to accompany him rather than cajoling or flattering her can benefit from this Charm just as readily as a stomp delivered to a prone enemy's face. Strangely, the power of Malfeas may also enhance any Performance action to dance or create music. These are the secret pleasures of the Demon City that embarrass Ligier.

Malfeas Mythos Exultant

The Demon Emperor works his wrath through the sheer power of his terrible will, calling boundless power out of hatred and fury. A stunt enhanced by this Charm allows the Green Sun Prince to pay a point of Willpower in place of up to (Essence) motes when activating an Excellency of Malfeas to enhance the stunted action.

What to say here....Mainly, that I need a name for the new episode. Ideas?

Also, I am thinking of changing Malfeas Mythos Exultant back to the original one, because attunement motes sound dumb. Should I?

"Kaguya..." You admit to be surprised at the younger girl's level of maturity. Maybe...maybe you didn't make a mistake that time. "Are you sure you're younger than me?" You say with sarcasm.

"Do no worry Lelouch-sama." Her smile shines like the sun. "I am more than willing to wait a few years to make our union official!"

"Wait, what?" You blink in confusion. "Didn't we agree to enter the same coven already?"

She just keeps smiling, looking to all the world like the perfect picture of class and elegance.
Kaguya is best girl. Lelouch is dense. And Suzaku is going to make everything infinitely more complicated. News at 11.

Q&A Time!

About the Pantheon Charms...I realized they don't say what to do when you want to materialize a Soul created by a Pantheon Charm. Should I homebrew it, and say that instead of an Intimacy they represent a fundamental quality of the Infernal (Heart is Lelouch's Arrogance and Pride, Grace is Lelouch's Sense of Drama and Manipulation, Muse is Lelouch's Creativity and Ruthlessness?) that most resonate with the Charm's themes?

On another topic, given that there are a few charms we can have that can cause mutations (decided by us) on us or the people around us, (including Play the Music/Lunatic Pyre Shintai, Becoming the Mask, and some Malfean charms that can give mutations to us and those who have been branded with Fealty-Acknowledging Audience); it's probably smart to consider what sort of mutations we'd consider useful. Probably the biggest consideration is that it's probably not wise to pull out blatantly supernatural stuff on either our enemies or most of the soldiers who would be following us into battle.

So, mutations that can come in handy:
Lacking (Virtue) - (Valor is a good option for this)
Cost: 1pt; Keywords: Spiritual or Mental, Negative, Internal, Stackable
An imbalance in the soul, or in the mind? Some savants claim they are much the same. One of the creature's Virtues cannot be channeled, and is treated as having a rating of one for all purposes. An Exalt's Primary Virtue cannot be affected by this mutation.

Creature of the Wyld
Cost: 2pts; Keywords: Spiritual, Internal, Negative
All things can eventually trace their ancestry back to the Wyld, but this creature is more directly descended from chaos than most; of these entities, the raksha are the most well-known in Creation. Such creatures rely on the infinite energies and elastic physical laws of the Wyld; they suffer a poor reaction to the static, limited realms outside Pure Chaos. The specifics vary from creature to creature; for raksha, this takes the form of Stasis, while the abatwa undergo a more destructive conceptual combustion. If applied to a creature without any specific mechanics for it, simply treat this reaction as a two-point version of the Allergy mutation, reacting only to exposure to Creation. Again, most applications of this spiritual mutation carry the Natural keyword.

(Emotion) Trigger
Cost: 1pt; Keywords: Derangement, Internal, Stackable
Phobias and philias and inexplicable furies. Upon encountering a single "trigger", the creature immediately feels a single base Emotion (fear, lust, rage, anxiety) that lasts until the end of the scene, and costs two Willpower to suppress (or one if the source of the trigger is no longer present). The trigger might be a colour, or a scent, or even a particular phrase.
-(Fear would be ideal for this, likely triggered by a pro-Japan battlecry, or the sight of Zero).

(Madness) Trigger
Cost: 3pts; Keywords: Derangement, Internal, Requires (Emotion) Trigger, Stackable
Rather than the associated emotion, the trigger forces the creature into a controlled Virtue Flaw (Exalted, pp.103) appropriate to it; rather than simply feeling fury, the creature would be sent into a Berserk Anger, while a Heart of Tears might replace mere sadness. This Virtue Flaw lasts until the end of the scene, and costs the same amount of Willpower to suppress as the Emotion effect, though doing so only replaces it with the Emotion effect in question.
-(See the previous mutation)

Air Drowner
Cost: 3-6pts; Keywords: Physical, Negative
The creature cannot breathe air. Attempting to do so results in suffocation, just as in water, except that all intervals are at one hour rather than 30 seconds. The four, five and six point versions of this mutation decrease the length of such intervals to ten minutes, one minute, and 30 seconds, respectively. For obvious reasons, it is recommended that these creatures also have at least one example of the (Substance) Breather mutation.
-(Just imagine if we could manage to get the 6-point version on an enemy mid-battle)

There is a particular trait that can be applied to mutations, where half their point cost can be spent to make them internal. Sometimes there isn't much point to this-Internalised Essence Enlightenment is still going to clue in the person that something supernatural is going on, but on others we can fluff people into believing non-supernatural explanations.
Overpowering (Virtue) - (Valor and Conviction are both useful options for this)
Cost: 1pt;
Keywords: Spiritual or Mental, Negative, Internal, Stackable, Devolve (Lacking [Virtue])
One of the creature's Virtues always succeeds in its rolls (this does not affect its channels) and the cost to suppress it for a scene is increased to two points of Willpower.

Pack Instincts
Cost: 1pt; Keywords: Mental, Internal
This mutation links the creature to a single "pack". The pack's makeup may change over time, but all of its members must have this mutation. The difficulty for any member of that pack to launch a co-ordinated attack (Exalted, p. 144) is halved, provided all of the attackers are its packmates (or reduced by one, if only the majority of the attackers are its packmates). Whenever the creature receives teamwork bonuses, the maximum co-operation bonus increased by (relevant Ability ÷ 2), rounded up, provided all of its helpers are members of its pack (or one, if only the majority of helpers are its packmates).

Hyper-Awareness
Cost: 2pts; (+1 for Internal)
Keywords: Physical, Mental (+Internal)
Eyes in the back of the head, or radial ears, or a tingling danger-sense. The creature is always treated as being actively wary for detecting unexpected attacks (see Exalted, pp. 155). This grants a single bonus die to all rolls to detect ambushes, and allows the creature to ignore any penalties on such rolls for being distracted.

(Substance) Allergy -(Refrain)
Cost: 1-5pts; Keywords: Physical, Negative, Stackable
The creature has a dreadful allergy to an otherwise harmless substance, such as fungus, thick pollen, certain drugs, dairy products, sunlight, or salted peanuts. If it consumes or directly inhales that substance, it treats it as poison, with traits of (M x2)B/action, Toxicity (M), Tolerance —, Penalty -(M). If it is simply exposed to a concentration of that substance, it treats it as a hazard with traits of (M)B/minute, Trauma (M).
-(This one is actually a negative point-cost mutation, but making our soldiers allergic to Refrain would actually be helpful, generally speaking. Plus, having something to defray point costs should we make something permanent is cool.)

Ambidextrous
Cost: 1pt; Keywords: Physical, Mental, Internal
The creature ignores all off-hand penalties, allowing it to use its hands equally. Characters can gain this mutation as a result of training for (7 - Dexterity) months; acquired in this manner, it has the Natural keyword.

The following are not individual mutations, but an entire mutation package that would make the relevant individual extremely useful in a tactical sense. It is not internal, and would instead require us to BS a non-supernatural explanation for our troops, which I think should be quite doable. Obviously, since this would have a lot of points and would need to be permanent, it's not likely to happen unless we aim to bring it about.

Package 1-Invisible Skin Implant

-Alternate Form
Cost: 2pts; Keywords: Physical, Stackable
The creature's player groups together any number of its other mutations, physical or otherwise (the majority of which must be positive mutations) as a single set. By default, these mutations are demanifested; they have no mechanical effect, and are Internal for the purposes of anyone trying to detect them. The creature may manifest that entire set of mutations as a miscellaneous action costing a single point of Willpower (Essence-users may instead pay four motes), and demanifest them in the same way. After manifesting or demanifesting a set of mutations, the creature may not do so again until its DV has refreshed twice.

-Natural Armour
Cost: 1-6pts; Keywords: Physical
The creature has scales, fur, thick skin, a leathery hide, or a tough carapace. The creature's natural soak is increased by (M)L/B.

-Skulker
Cost: 3pts; Keywords: Physical
The creature has chameleonic skin, a natural foggy shroud, or a transparent glass body, and can hide in plain sight, allowing it to make rolls to hide (including re-establishing surprise) in places where there is no cover or other obstructions that would normally allow it.

-Invisible
Cost: 4-6pts; Keywords: Physical, Requires (Skulker)
Whether through perfect shifting camouflage, an optical phase-field, or an ethereal form, the creature is actually invisible, imposing a -2 external penalty on attempts to notice or interact with it that would rely mostly on sight. The six-point version of this mutation allows the creature to phase in or out of visibility once per action, as a diceless miscellaneous action costing one point of temporary Willpower (or four motes, if it is an Essence-user).

-Weird Body
Cost: 1pt; Keywords: Physical, Stackable
This mutation grants the creature an additional functional organ of some sort, or moves one of its existing organs to be somewhere other than one might naturally expect; its brain might be located in its tail, its eyes might be set into its palms, or its genitalia might be found in its knees. This has no direct mechanical effect, but the organs are not cosmetic; they provide access to certain stunts, and might allow the creature to play dead or avoid a disabling injury aimed at the wrong spot by a misinformed enemy.

-(Refrain) Allergy
Cost: 1-5pts; Keywords: Physical, Negative, Stackable
The creature has a dreadful allergy to an otherwise harmless substance, such as fungus, thick pollen, certain drugs, dairy products, sunlight, or salted peanuts. If it consumes or directly inhales that substance, it treats it as poison, with traits of (M x2)B/action, Toxicity (M), Tolerance —, Penalty -(M). If it is simply exposed to a concentration of that substance, it treats it as a hazard with traits of (M)B/minute, Trauma (M).

Fluff: The explanation we would give here (assuming we're explaining these to the Black Knights or such) would be that of an advanced, highly-secret bit of engineering that comes in the form of an implant, that when activated, covers the person in a tough skin that can offer some protection and also make the user invisible to the naked eye.
This should function as an explanation that doesn't involve mentioning any supernatural aspects of the package, whilst letting us turn our soldiers into devastatingly effective covert operatives.

Package 2- Team Supersoldier:

-(Refrain) Allergy
Cost: 1-5pts; Keywords: Physical, Negative, Stackable

-Pack Instincts
Cost: 1pt; Keywords: Mental, Internal

-Hyper-Awareness
Cost: 2pts; (+1 for Internal)
Keywords: Physical, Mental, Internal

-Superior Healing
Cost: 3pts; Keywords: Physical (+2 Internal)
The creature closes bleeding wounds, ignores re-opened wounds, resists infection, recovers from disabling wounds, and heals health levels of damage as though it were a supernatural being, like a spirit or one of the Chosen (Exalted, pp. 148-152). The Exalted cannot take this mutation.
Everything can be explained with Science!

I think we will be among the only ones to willingly spawn sub souls in the coven. It is scary...they are aspects of you...and you might.not like what you see.
Ebon Dragon: "Truth hurts, my dear. Truth. Hurts. It's that simple even I cannot lie about it."

I disagree. Something as fundamental as our souls personality is something to be discussed by the players and the GM. Even if they are under his control, is a fundamental part of the narrative and the players shouldn't be locked out of it.
Maybe our QM will throw a vote for it when they come relevant? That way we could get pictures that fit well for at least the majority of participants, as there is a limit when arguing objectively about artistic taste.
Of course I will discuss it with you. I'll also throw a vote when necessary.

Next part of the wonderful life of Nadir and Gyula. Incidentally, does anyone know what the 'Flame' refers to in Kimbery's sobriquet, 'The Sea that marched Against the Flame'? Sol Invictus, Cytherea, the Whispering Flame, some raksha who crafted his legend around flame? Just curious I guess
It is never specified. I think it was left purposely vague.

That...could be the case. As I said during my first omake my Exalted lore is not the greatest. If @Alexander89 agrees with you then I'll change that part, no sweat
Infernals respire the Essence of Creation, which is converted into Primordial Essence by the Exaltation. They, being alive, cannot respire Essence in the Underworld so they cannot regain it naturally.

Also, is Nadir unlucky or what? I hope you have a plan to have him escape the Underworld, because even with badass Charms things look...bleak.

I like this analysis.

The idea of theming our sub souls after chess pieces actually sounds really interesting, different pieces to represent the different charms with the changes between them based upon what Yozi it's from and the intimacy it's going to be associated with but I'm not familiar with the charms enough to actually come up with any ideas so I'll leave that to everybody else.
The idea of Chess pieces theme is, indeed, interesting.

I can't wait to write Nathan's experience in Japan. Poor kid is so out of his depth :V

Awesome.
[X] Suzaku is alive! Be happy but keep up your public mask.

I have to say, I really didn't consider just what picking Malfeas would mean for Lelouch, and how it would affect his world view. I think it's safe to say he's going to be far less empathetic here than he was in canon

[X] XP Expenditure Plan "Congrats, its twins!"

[X] Suzaku is alive! Be happy but keep up your public mask.
-[X] "Suzaku..." You resist the urge to stare in shock. It takes a great deal of your will to keep up your carefully crafted mask. Your Essence Sight doesn't show him to be someone else magically disguised, so you're pretty damn sure it's him. You don't know how he survived, but you can catch up with him later, but for now you can't reveal anything that might link him to your secret past. "Well, I have to say I'm surprised, Suzaku. I would never have expected to see you here, but it's good to see you again." You say, smiling honestly. You turn to Rivalz. "Rivalz, have you met Suzaku? He helped me out after that idiot driver in the truck accident drove off with me inside."
-[X] Later when you're assured of privacy (the last thing you want is to give your fanclub ideas) give him a hug, let him know you're glad he's alive. The two of you have some catching up to do, and you're sure Nunnally would love to see him again.

I'm still waiting for Lelouch to end up with all his sub souls being female, and getting made fun of for spawning his own harem.

This is incredibly unlikely, but the image of these sub souls getting into a cult fight with the Fan club is to hilarious to pass up.

Great update. Lelouch is of course still completely fucking oblivious with women if it's not spelled out for him.

Anyways, working on an XP expenditure plan.

Eh, i think some of our souls will be male. I certainly prefer it that way.

And our Souls aren't, and never will be, part of our Harem. That is absurdly squicky. Is incestuous and narcissistic at the same time.

Ah, look, that is part of why i think the principle/relations system is better than the intimacies one, since is somewhat less limited in things like these (And note that ES and Aleph, who created Pantheon charms, use that system).

That said, is probably better to do both. We should have souls that represent how we feel about others (We MUST have a soul for Nunnally intimacy, is mandatory) and souls that represent our core values. And they could actually intermingle; There isn't any rule that each soul must represent a single thing after all. I think there is room for interesting combinations. The same soul that represents our link with Nunna can be the our unbreakable determination as well.

Ideally, i think each soul should be linked with a person, and a value, as filtered though the lens of the charm that spawned it.

[X]Suzaku is alive! Be happy but keep up your public mask

I wonder if Suzaku is an infernal. It would certainly explain his apparent rise from the dead. The Torment from being called his old name the entire time must be immense, however.

Nope. Nope. Nope. This was explained a load of times. You CAN'T Exalt if you are suicidal.

For Suzaku to Exalt, she need to get rid of his death wish. After that, he would be a good candidate for a Solar or Lunar Exaltation.
