Green Sun, Black Shadows (CG/Exalted)

Well, there is this, from Revlid SWLIHN charmset.

METICULOUS BLEMISH REMOVAL

Cost: — ; Mins: Essence 3; Type: Permanent
Keywords: None
Duration: Permanent
Prerequisite Charms: Autonomous Pattern Reconstruction

No failure is beyond correction. This is the belief that has fuelled the Pyre In Which Thoughts Are Burned for millennia. This Charm can be purchased five times, each purchase allowing its prerequisite to repair afflictions that cannot normally be addressed, such as amputated limbs or incurable diseases. Three purchases each cover a single Keyword, chosen between Crippling, Poison and Sickness effects. Removing such ailments is difficulty 5 and takes six hours, unless otherwise specified. New tissue for amputated limbs grows on a spinnbarkeit mesh, flaking together from the outside in. A fourth version allows this Charm to heal damage. This "treatment" takes two hours and heals a single bashing health level at difficulty 1 or downgrades a single level of lethal damage to bashing at difficulty 3. Aggravated damage cannot be healed. The fifth version does not affect characters at all, but allows the Exalt to restore objects damaged beyond mundane repair, so long as she has even a fragment; a burned letter can be reconstructed if the Exalt has the ashes.

One thing to keep in mind is that this spirit/deity may actually exist in this world and might take umbrage with an impersonation like this provided she notices.

It really depends on what the tailings are composed of. Various types of conditions can come up, really, and cancers are especially common. Skin cancer can be included in that.

They don't really have much in the way of that. The Szoreny Charm Bitter Medicine can be used to cure diseases in other people (by making them temporarily immune to them, thus eradicating any they have) but the bulk of the Yozis don't really have much in the way of healing Charms. Healing lesser beings just generally doesn't fall under their themes.

Yeah, I know. That was intended as a plothook. It's probably just a myth though, given how Arcane Fate works here.

Would a custom charm to assist a Beloved character, that reverses itself if they become Reviled/the Infernal loses her intimacy to them, be out of Kimbery's themes?

I'm fairly certain this is your nickname for SWLiHN, but please do remember we have an actual character named Shirley here. You might want to avoid use of this to prevent confusion.
It is. And I'll try, but it's kind of a habit now.

...Code Geass Shirley as an Infernal, anyone?

...Code Geass Shirley as an Infernal, anyone?

Her being chosen by Kimbery Infernal might be kind of funny, especially if we make her obsessed with Lelouch due to DGP. She gets the Charm that makes it so she can't ever believe anything bad about Lelouch... Plus she's in the swim club. :p

But she's also one of the possible Lunar candidates, so we'll see what Alexander89 does.

I don't think that works on other people, though.

It does. Note that it's an improvement of this:

AUTONOMOUS PATTERN RECONSTRUCTION

Cost: 10m, 1wp; Mins: Essence 3; Type: Simple

Keywords: Combo-OK, Lattice, Obvious, Sorcerous, Touch
Duration: One day
Prerequisite Charms: Mind-Hand Manipulation, Omnidimensional Apprehension Scan

The Principle of Hierarchy demands patterns attend to their own integrity. This Charm targets any non-anomaly the Exalt is touching, causing damaged sections of biology to fly apart and orbit them as impurities dissolve into ether and frayed sinew reknots. For the duration of this Sorcerous effect, the target is treated as constantly receiving supernaturally-enhanced treatment with all the necessary tools for any ailments that can benefit from medical care (Exalted, pp. 137), ignoring difficulties stemming from internal afflictions.

Any rolls use a pool of (target's Stamina + Infernal's Essence), plus one automatic success. Failure never worsens a condition, though targets can still deteriorate naturally. If the target suffers from multiple maladies, they each receive simultaneous treatment. Healed wounds leave no evidence, and in the absence of genuine problems this Charm clears away imperfections like moles. Objects also benefit from this Charm, receiving constant maintenance and repairs with a pool of (Infernal's Craft + Essence) as worn bolts and scaffolds orbit the frame.

This magic does not react well to agitation. It stalls if the target takes activity more strenuous than "at ease" (Exalted, pp. 115), twirling portions of biology sealing back together; objects also stall in repairs when undergoing similar degrees of movement. Countermagic ending this Charm early returns the target to their normal form.

Ah, with the XP coming to us soon, and what's been gained from omakes and such, looks like we can get those purchases Enjou mentioned, 'and' max out WP.

Plus, up some of our Abilities to 5.

What about say a custom Malfeas charm that uses Hatefire to burn away weakness and is actually supposed to be used to kill people but a lateral thinking infernal being able to use it to specifically target weaknesses like diseases so it doesn't so much as heal the character as KILL something in them that just so happens to be hurting them?

Her being chosen by Kimbery Infernal might be kind of funny, especially if we make her obsessed with Lelouch due to DGP. She gets the Charm that makes it so she can't ever believe anything bad about Lelouch... Plus she's in the swim club. :p

LUNAR Shirley? I'm down for that (and it does sound funny)

Anyone have any thoughts on possible Demon Ink Tattoos? The ones provided as examples aren't the only ones. I found this list of some non-canon ones, but they aren't necessarily the only way those demon tattoos could go.

Those omakes were really great. I love the sort of middle-to-high intensity military campaigns those after-reports suggest. It reminded me of Valkyria Chronicles, how you'd constantly be R&D-ing new gear to go out and kill Imperials.

Hoping our Black Knights become a crack troop of buddies :)

The Yozi are likely to say: "murder her and take her place" :p

So something like... the Infernal commits 10m, 1wp and chooses a Beloved character. As long as the motes remain committed, the Infernal may add [Infernal's Essence] automatic successes to any roll the Beloved character makes. Or is that too OP?
It...seems good to me, but we should probably get the GM's opinion.

@Alexander89, what's your opinion on this?
I think there should be some limitations. Like, adding the Sea Keyword or making the Charm work only if the target works on something the Infernal approves or has the Infernal as central subject.

So, while on the train today I had thoughts. About Oramus' Charms, and how to improve them. I would like to list those variants, and ask what you think of them:
Oramus Mythos Exultant

Older and stronger than reality itself, the Dragon Beyond the World delights in the imposition of his Will upon the world, his most outrageous actions sending waves through both space and time. Every time the character makes a successful two-die or three-die stunt she adds a single die to her next action. This doesn't count as die added by stunts or Charms.

OOC: The actual version, giving more Willpower, is identical to SWLiHN's version.
What Is and What Should Never Be

The Dragon Beyond the World casts his mind on that which Is Not: the beings, concepts, and stranger things fundamentally forbidden to Creation by the nature of the Shinma chosen to define it. This is the Beyond: Oramus' forge, his dominion. What stupefying wonders and bright horrors are there to behold! Compared to these, the material of Creation is as dross as ash, an unfit subject for meditation. By his deeds shall the Impossible Dragon sing this truth.

The Infernal becomes the gatekeeper of unearthly magnificence, gaining a Stunt Pool equal to the sum of his two lowest Virtues. As with a Raksha Stunt Pool, the Infernal may draw dice from this pool to supplement any action, including an action that would not normally qualify for a stunt (the Storyteller always has first preference for granting stunt dice to an action). No action may have more than three stunt dice applied to it in total, whether from the Storyteller, this Charm, or a combination of the two. Successes granted by any stunted roll are treated as normal successes that can activate (Yozi) Mythos Exultant's benefits.
This Stunt Pool automatically refreshes at the beginning of each story. Additionally, dice that are gained through Oramus Mythos Exultant can be added to the Stunt Pool, up to the Stunt Pool's maximum.
An Essence 3 repurchase of this Charm increases the Stunt Pool to the sum of the Infernal's highest and lowest Virtues, while an Essence 4 repurchase increases the Stunt Pool to the sum of the Infernal's two highest Virtues. A final repurchase at Essence 5 increases the Stunt Pool to the sum of all of the Infernal's Virtues.

However, dwelling on the insane, terrible beauty of the Beyond has a price; as the Infernal's attention is drawn towards the Beyond, he finds it harder to focus on the mundane things of Creation. Each time the Infernal supplements a roll with the dice from this Charm, she suffers an internal penalty to all Perception and Awareness rolls equal to her permanent Essence until her DV refresh.

OOC: This version doesn't make the Charm as punitive as it can be. It also means Dual Gaze Paradox needs to change.
Dual Gaze Paradox

The Dragon Beyond The World sees both Creation and the Impossible at once, his paradoxical and vast being allowing him to suffer no ill effect from gazing at the Beyond. Upon purchasing this Charm the Infernal expands her sight to gaze upon What Is and What Cannot Be without distractions, allowing her to reflexively roll (Perception + Awareness), plus (Essence) successes, to pierce through magical disguises.

However, by opening her sight to the Beyond the warlock also opens a portal for others to see Is Not, her eyes shining with a kaleidoscope of impossible colors. The effect is only Obvious when one looks the Infernal directly in the eyes. Doing so ensnares the watcher, making it difficult to look away. The affected character builds an Intimacy of obsession toward the Infernal upon first making direct eye contact unless they reflexively spend one Willpower to avert their gaze, in which case they become immune to the effect for the rest of the scene. Characters who have conflicting Intimacies that would interfere with this process find those feelings weakened. For one full day afterwards, any Intimacy built or attacked can't be lessened or rebuilt, respectively. After a day, the Intimacies may be affected normally. If the Infernal spends Willpower to not cause the effect of Beautiful In My Way on a given character, it also applies to the effect of this Charm.

At Essence 5 the call of the Beyond becomes too strong to be resisted: the Charm becomes Obvious to all characters who see the warlock's eyes, the effects ensnaring them as surely as those making direct eye contact, requiring one less scene to build the Intimacy of Obsession. The Infernal cannot spend Willpower to suppress the effects of this Charm anymore.

OOC: more useful and more in theme. Not punitive until higher Essence, as many other Infernal Charms.
Secrets of the Self Held Fast

When Oramus is asked his cause for action, in the most case his only response is a wry, knowing smile that hides his actions in a veil of enigmas and riddles. The Infernal may invoke this in Social Combat as a Perfect Defense against any attempt to obtain information from the warlock, her body language disappearing and the sole expression on her otherwise neutral face a knowing smile that seems to mock the interrogator as he struggles to discover her intentions. This Charm is subject to the Imperfection of Oramus.

OOC: So that it may be used anytime Assumption of Mu fails, but only when a character directly interact with the Infernal of course.

Thoughts? My aim here is to make Oramus a Primordial that relies on Stunts, similar but superior to the Raksha.

I see you are embracing the Oramus method of keeping time here.

I think it works, though it might require you to go retcon something as Lelouch wouldn't get increased distraction from What Is and What Should Never Be during his trip since he wouldn't have used his stunt dice. He'd need reasons to take DGP, so unless you made him use a stunt dice for some reason he wouldn't have noticed the extra distraction. Maybe experimenting with his powers a bit and noticing the distraction was worse? (and he'd have used an unwritten stunt during that time to put an extra dice back into the stunt pool)

Also, as I'm not familiar with the mechanic, how long until DV refresh occurs?

an ideal thought, retcons are actually perfectly in theme for Oramus, especially if they introduce minor or major plot holes. If there is one Yozi who is willing to screw with causality it would be the dragon of impossibilities.

I like all of those changes, except the one for What Is and What Should Never Be. Mainly because it would require a retcon, but I just like its thematics of the Infernal losing sight of what we call "reality" as he grows in power. Unless he is willing to twist himself further to resemble Oramus...

Oramus: See, Little Brother? First you give them a taste of power, then reveal to them that it has downsides that will just get worse as they grow in power. You have done so with your Chosen already, but you shouldn't just leave it to that! Offer them after that something that can alleviate or completely eliminate the downside, and they will jump at it at the first chance! Only to discover that this new "solution" has its own side-effects. And then you offer them the next power to help with that...
The Ebon Dragon: ...I could almost betray my own existence just so I could feel respect for you. Almost.

Back to the Charm -revision business, what about just making the penalty smaller, so that it doesn't get truly crippling until higher Essence -levels, and/or allowing using Willpower to suppress the effect for a scene? So the text for the penalty could be:
However, dwelling on the insane, terrible beauty of the Beyond has a price; as the Infernal's attention is drawn towards the Beyond, he finds it harder to focus on the mundane things of Creation. The Infernal suffers an internal penalty to all Perception and Awareness rolls half of his permanent Essence rating (rounded up) while in Creation. He can suppress this penalty for a scene by spending a point of willpower, but the cost rises to two willpower after he achieves Essence 5 rating.
That, or just don't change anything about the base Charm. As we no longer have to worry about the negative effects, no need for a retcon.

...Well, there is a way around that. More specifically, this:
Wyld-Spreading Gem (Manse 3)
This stone is of no fixed color or form, these things shifting from moment to moment. Its presence breaks down the barriers between order and chaos, amplifying the chaos of the Wyld. Within 10 yards of the stone, treat Creation (or any other realm!) as the Bordermarches; the Bordermarches as the Middlemarches; the Middlemarches as Deep Wyld; and Deep Wyld as Pure Chaos.
If you are willing to bet your chances on never losing the pretty little bauble...

Oh, and before I forget:

Roll (Persuading Leila):

(Plus three successes Second Oramus Excellency. Also playing on both an Intimacy and Motivation, plus bonus from Appearance...yup, Lelouch is confirmed as the most Magnificent Bastard Pretty Boy ever
