So I see that we're progressing well on getting that "Dread Lady of Chicago: cross Her at your peril" reputation up and running. Wanna bet we can become a new boogie man of the supernatural community by summer's end?
My bad must of copied it wrong@firefrog600
Hey, you need to close the bracket on your vote.
1)Thomas can cross over from the NeverNever at the Raith Deeps because he was almost killed there.
All Raiths can use strip clubs and the like because sex/lust; Thomas did this with Michael as a passenger.
There is as far as Im aware no requirement that it be repeated for any extra period of time on one spot. Once the threshold is met, its been met.
2)You want to let them go ahead, wait for the two factions to fight it out, then take our time to enter the base in their wake.
Thats basically begging for someone to get out with the loot.
Murphy's law is still a thing in this setting, and we would be attempting to walk through an unfamiliar base with unfamiliar hazards while watching out for any lurking opposition in the shadows.
You are badly mistaken if you think its something that can be done at speed.
In a chase, the runner always has the advantage over the pursuer, because the pursuer has to watch for traps, fakeouts and ambushes from the runner. The runner doesnt.
Same principle.
3)And yes, its potentially perilous to blind jump into the NeverNever. For humans. Much less so for vamps.
Red Court vampires survive and regenerate gunshots to the head as long as they retain blood in the belly. Thats why they never wear armor in canon. There's a reason Im rather pleased that Transcendent Anathema is a thing and allows us to deal Agg.
4)It is precisely the reason we should pay attention to their example.
We are barely a month and half as an Infernal; paying attention to how things are done and why is literally why we have Michael as a Mentor 5. This is neither the time nor the place for moral crusading. The immediate satisfaction of arranging the death of a Rampire task force pales in comparison to increasing the risk of letting magic plutonium get away into hostile hands.
Especially given how quickly Rampires can replace mooks.
5)Not to mention that Molly has read Lord of the Rings.
Critically, the lesson of Gollum: Never be too quick to kill, even where its deserved. There's a reason why routinely killing your enemies in the presence of alternative practical solutions is explicitly right there in the ExWoD sourcebook as devaluing the value of your soul.
6) We are an Infernal Exalt and heir to a Hell. Our father wields Amoracchius, our brother dates the daughter of a death god, our crush is a wizard of the White Council and half brother of a Whampire, and we have a job offer from someone who is both a magic contractor for a Mafia boss and liegesworn to Odin, who is also Santa Claus,.
Simplicity was never an option.
Molly is Stamina 3. By those rules she can hold her breath for two minutes before needing to breathe.Page 259 Werewolf 20th Anniversary said:Suffocation and Drowning
Werewolves are living creatures, and need to breathe
just like people and animals do. When immersed in water,
or some other non-breathable medium, a character can
hold her breath for a length of time determined by her
Stamina. Changing forms once immersed doesn't alter this
length of time the character's lung capacity changes,
but the amount of air in her lungs does not.
Once her time runs out, the character can spend
Willpower to keep holding her breath. Each point of
Willpower spent in this fashion allows her to hold her
breath for another 30 seconds.

Drowning rules are on page 259 of W20:

In two minutes she can fly (32 yards/3 second turns x 20 turns/minute x 2 minutes) = 1280 yards.
Thats roughly two thirds of a mile.
@DragonParadox
QUESTION
1)How far is the base from the comm buoy?
I need to know if Molly needs to steal scuba gear from the Reds and dare them to say anything about it
2) Does Red Vampire venom count as supernatural toxin? Or a mundane one?
We arent. Are we worried at all about the red court turning any of the human cultists or are they probably all being Fomori prevents that, as per the infamous 'no template stacking except for US' common sense rule of WoD apply?
Cool. Molly can fly outside the submarine and provide top cover
- The base is 200 meters from the buoy all told so you are in the clear
- Supernatural, it has clear magical effects
We are already glowing. Do we want to fly outside our vessel and possibly attract more attention, if they have any way of seeing outside their hideout?Cool. Molly can fly outside the submarine and provide top cover
@DragonParadox would the question "what is the layout of all underwater strctures in this lake, starting from the closest to me?" be a valid Crown use, if we use the lake itself as a focus? I want to get the floor plan of the hideout, and, if we are lucky, stumble on some other ancient ruin (it's a big lake, it could happen!).
Do we really care? I'd say not.We are already glowing. Do we want to fly outside our vessel and possibly attract more attention, if they have any way of seeing outside their hideout?
Ok then. We should ask "the list of all underwater structures in lake Erie" or something like this later, in the downtime. And the same for all other great lakes. In case there's something down there. That is a bit too vague, though asking something like 'how do I get to the leader' while looking at the facility will produce results like in undertown
Swimming 200m? I got somewhere in the ballpark of 3-4 minutes or more. Assuming an average swimming speed of two to two and a half miles per hour, which is about the average for a person.
IDK how well Rampires can swim though, but I feel like diving gear would only slow them down further, depending on how bulky it is. AFAIK there's only so much that brute strength can do for swimming.
Although, what sort of diving gear are we talking about here?
Just SCUBA gear or something bulkier, like for deep sea diving?
Also… How deep is the base? I'm assigning that it's not 200m away straight down, but it's probably at least decently deep, so as not to be easily visible from the surface and/or from the air.
Based on the lake erie depth map, and assuming that they aren't dug into bedrock (and that the map is somewhat accurate) it can be deeper than 20 meters.Swimming 200m? Thonk.jpgNot swimming, using your By Rage Recast flight, that is a lot faster and costs no effort since you know you are willing yourself from place to place.
The power is called flight, but it does not really care about the medium.
Would traveling through water not be significantly slower than traveling through air due to water resistance, though? Not swimming, using your By Rage Recast flight, that is a lot faster and costs no effort since you know you are willing yourself from place to place.

I believe that that may actually be deep enough that Decompression Sickness can occur, but I don't know if that would be an issue for us.Based on the lake erie depth map, and assuming that they aren't dug into bedrock (and that the map is somewhat accurate) it can be deeper than 20 meters.

They brought diving gear, so Im assuming they werent sure about the depth and distance.Swimming 200m? I got somewhere in the ballpark of 3-4 minutes or more. Assuming an average swimming speed of two to two and a half miles per hour, which is about the average for a person.

Nah. Thats what Swift Stride, Wind Born Stride and Conveyance Path are for.

From here: "DCS can also occur in relatively shallow depths—in fact there have been isolated cases in children in very shallow, 1 meter depths.5 Usually depths of about 20 feet are more common for DCS.6"I believe that that may actually be deep enough that Decompression Sickness can occur, but I don't know if that would be an issue for us.
Underwater treasure recovery looks more and more interesting. I propose we look at a globe and ask the question "what is the location of the greatest underwater treasure that no one is looking for?" (or something along the lines, with implicit qualifiers that we are looking for a treasure no one who is anyone claimed, and such). After we take BSM and PoRA, we could spend a day or two making a speedy boat and go on an adventure.Charm says you travel at your base land speed so you travel at your base land speed, does not matter if it's though the Venusian atmosphere or outer space. MIchael can't, however.
