Dragon nests can be built into the manse version of a shitty technical right?
I'm curious if we could do more than just use this place as supernatural home base.
It's specifically a subway station on the border of the nevernever and material world, hooked into several ley lines in a city noted for its association with travel and connection in canon.
It's at least hinted at by the existence of one of the crowns that you can teleport using ley lines as a medium. Obviously we can't reasonably replicate an exalted crown, but a more limited spirit train teleporting shorter distances along the specific lines our location is touching could be possible.
With the association with travel and some of the oddities with ancient sorcery we might also be able to poke around in the nevernever more freely than simply hopping over from any given point on the material side. Very long term as a goal, but being a literal railway tycoon and expanding along the ley line network to conquer dragon nests to use as railway stations would be pretty amazing.
To the best of my understanding Dragons Nests are fixed locations.
But I suspect we might be able to use it as a train station/airport for minions from our Hell.
Molly wont need it, because the charm says she can duck out to her pocket dimension from any location if she has the right conditions. But in the Dresdenverse, non-wizards only cross into the NeverNever at places with thematic resonance for them.
For Whamps its places of lust, Blampires use graveyards and places of death.
Inhabitants of Molly's Hell might well be able to use Dragons Nests she's claimed.
Depends on how much you care about Charity's opinion I guess. Michael might be looking at us kind of crossways too.
Edit: Even with superpowers, as a parent you're probably going to be looking strangely at your daughter establishing a bolt hole in a place like undertown.
Edit2: Not to mention the White Court dregs.
Michael will ask for an explanation in private, and will accept magic shit as an explanation.
Especially as he is right here, meeting said spirit face to face and evaluating it, and Amoracchius' reaction to it.
Charity is going to be tougher, but she well understands the concept of payment for services rendered.
Especially when said services involve rescuing a kid, and the payment is sustained physical labor, and nothing more nebulous.
Its very much reminiscent of the literary scene of Tom Sawyer whitewashing a fence, only with no conning others to do the work.
Beside, Michael(and his Sword) can vouch for said spirit.
The White Court dregs is a matter of talking Dresden into letting us ask to Mouse accompany her underground whenever she needs to do work on the weekend. As a chaperone of sorts.
Pay the Good Boy with treats.
Yeah. Dragons and Sex Vampires. There is no way Charity is going to be rational about this.
Eh.
Thomas worked with Michael back in Grave Peril, and Charity worked with Thomas to get Molly back from Arctis Tor.
At worst we get Mouse to escort us to assuage her fears until we get stronger. And richer.
I think you guys are doing her a disservice. She'll adjust. Just give her time. Its only been about a month since Arctis Tor.
And Michael being a character witness to Molly's capability and restraint helps with that.
Eldest kids often have it worst of all establishing boundaries with their parents.
