And we want the Lara in our debt to be in control of the White court. Asking her to bend her head and show what the rest of the court will read as a sign of weakness won't help her and it won't help us.

I would rather pull money out of our own pocket to help people if we want to help them. We are a child of Charity after all.

If the paranet had already existed then we would have learned about this issue much earlier and been able to address it. We need to build something like it.

It was INT+Empathy because you were mostly playing diplomat over the long run and keeping things from boiling over. It could have been done ith leadership by taking more direct command of everyone, but A) Molly would have been worse at that and B) It might have spooked some people in the Ordo.

They say the paranet is possessed by devils. Those in the know laugh when you tell them this. The devils are very nice and can help you find what you are looking for if you merely know how to ask.

We are a long way for that and ruling the White Court sounds like an AP sink. Best to let Lara rule and hobbling her won't help that.
 
[X] To establish communication channels between the minor practitioners so that information is shared and you can respond earlier to danger. If that happens to build a new network of influence for us, well that's just a cherry on top.

Not asking restitution for an obvious attack is a sign of weakness.

We are going to be murdering the people involved.

The problem is asking restitution from Lara implies that we blame Lara for this and that Lara answers to us. Both of these things weaken Lara and don't help us get control of the White Court.

It only makes sense if we are trying to undermine Lara and take rulership of the White Court directly. While this path could have advantages, freeing basically all white court vampires from the hunger, it would involve removing Lara from the picture.

If whampires just ran around killing whoever they liked when ever they would be in much the same boat as red vampires.

They don't want that. So they at the very least have to act like they care about the rules.

Yeah.. We really do need to get a paranet equivalent established pronto. If the magical community were actually communicating then something this blatant wouldn't have gone unoticed for so long. The worst part is the vampires do maintain contact with each other along with a number of other predators of humanity, but the desired targets(humans with magic talent but no real Power) are hopelessly blind for the most part.

I don't see much point in demanding Lara compensate the victims, even if she might do it without blinking an eye to stay on our gold side. IMO, it's somewhat unreasonable of us to make the demand of her at all. Lara inherited a huge mess when she took over leadership of the White Court, including Nemesis infiltration and rivals to the throne. She's already moving against those rivals now, thanks in part to our efforts, and she will have additional targets soon, again thanks to us.

She has not yet truly consolidated her power in the White Court, and our agreement with her is very new. These people were victimized well before we opened any sort of dialogue with Lara, so she hadn't yet obligated herself to more than basic policing of the Whampire population.
