you know, aside from the possible Teamwork aspect of this errand, there is the non-zero chance Kurenai is just fucking with us.

like, imagine us working and messing about and she goes to explain how it was all a way to do some Team Building Exercise and thus scored and failed on that method all along. This can easily be done in having to watch someone and see if we work together even just a little bit. If we do, then Kurenai can just coincidentally invite our parents to the party. Our Graduation Party.

if we fail though? or do what Kurenai constitutes as a failure? Then she STILL invites our parents and has them lambast our not being a team player. Which would be the worst punishment to newly minted genin.
 
First we need to be there early. the party has to be ready at 9, not start making the party at 9.

Second, we need to make sure we have enough for all 4 and extra in case someone comes or if someone is more hungry/thirsty than usual. Also have food and drinks for kiba dog.

Make sure we all dress appropriately for the party. Sometimes you need to socialize while doing work as a ninja and may not have armor or alot of gear with you like a sword. Still have something on your person but concealed.

Think of some topics and discussions to have with Kurenai and the team. Maybe she just lying to us and she going to ambush us at 9 with genjutsu and other stuff to test us. Not alot of genin are trained to be alert at all time like Daisuke.

That said, I also suspect that while the academy's system in general works for most kids, those that learn well in certain ways (but not the 'standard' regimented ones) like Naruto (and perhaps Ren), don't do so well learning that way and/or have trouble focusing and get frustrated.

It's a logical ruse to make them believe that it's a Systematic Test rather than a Personal Test. Adds weight to it and deflects from ill feeling towards Kurenai.

Well considering that Daisuke started the quest as a baby with rapidly fading memories of a former life and it's been 13 years...

I certainly HOPE he's barely recognizable lol!

Maybe also a write in to talk with others to bury our enemity for tonight? That's probably what the diplomacy is their for. No idea about perception.

Worse. He could summon flying, nigh-indestructible, regenerating Gazebos that could shoot beams of energy and capture their victims with Five-Kage-wrecking magic pollen, judging by some of his other techniques.

It's silly and likely not going to win, but bringing anko to the party would definitely make it a better party
